I've been a Dragon Quest, or Dragon Warrior as it was known back then, fan since the first game back on the NES. And while it was never super huge here in the US as it is in Japan, it's still got a cult following. DQ5 was the best the series has been...until now. DQ11 is simply fantastic and a must have JRPG for any fan of the genre. I'll likely pick this up on the Switch as well once it comes out.

The graphics, gameplay, and the music are incredible!! The best dragon quest yet! Enjoy this amazing game, you wont be sorry!

Currently in my mind based on recent relevant game releases by SquareEnix Dragon Quest has surpassed the Final Fantasy Series. It has stayed with its foundation and is developed from it's strengths. Balanced story and great dynamic animation and you'll enjoy it for hours on end. Being that I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, 15 was decent but seemed unfinished compared to Dragon Quest XI.

A great old school oriented RPG. The graphics and gameplay are amazing. The story is cliche but good. Highly recommended

Very good JRPG. Improves on all the base concepts from older DQ games. Story is a little slow to start, but give it a little time! It gets good and starts good. Little grindy if going for 100% completion end game but not necessary to enjoy or complete the game.

I picked up this game for some crazy hijinks and nothing more. What I'm getting is a pretty solid story that has kept me invested long after I thought I'd be done with it. I like the story and the main character, the sometimes serious tone, the sometime goofy tone, the fact that it has a mini arcade with Sega Outrun and a bunch of other mini games. I'm late to the Yakuza series, but I think I'll be a supporter of the future games in the Yakuza series and other games from this company.

A new game from the dragonquest series, this one is very well made, the graphics are great, and the story line is compelling.

I've always liked Dragon Quest games and have been playing them a long time, 8 has been my favorite of the series. This one is right there, however I've never really liked the voice acting in them ans this one is no exception. Not quite sure the direction they were given but it hasn't ever been that great. Maybe it's just me. Other than that I haven't had more than 10 hours and it's pretty addicting outside of my minor annoyance. The world is beautiful the combat is traditional with some flare and it's fun if you like JRPGs. There seems to be a lot to do. If you never played a Dragon Quest game this would be a good one to start with. I know they are releasing 8 as well so look out for that too.

The story is wonderful, gameplay is fantastic, and the graphics are beautiful. There is nothing not to love about this game.

Dragon Quest XI sticks to it’s roots and does what it’s known for best. Deep lore, interesting characters, colorful graphics and whimsical locations. You are the Luminary, tasked with defeating the Lord of Shadows since birth. You set off on an adventure filled with love, friendship, pain and loss. It’s a wonderful coming of age tale that shows no matter how dark the world may be there will always be a spark waiting to be ignited to flame through the powers of friendship, light and love.

A very compelling game with good story and plenty of contents to do. Every penny and time you spend are totally worth it.

Game looks beautiful and the game is entertaining. It is a bit simple, which leads to occasional boredom. The story is good, though, and looking forward to the conclusion.

There have been several great JRPGs recently but this is my favorite of the ones I have played in 2018. People are overly critical about the music, to be honest it is great if not a little loud, but you can adjust it with sliders. The midi does not sound bad at all and most people are going to listen to it through their TV speakers anyways. Don’t hesitate if you are looking for a good RPG!

I can't believe I have not been loving this series for years now. This game requires exploration and mental mapping to a degree that no other series really approaches nowadays. This game (and series) is also a testament to aesthetics. The enemies are silly looking and have names based on puns and silly word combinations. Despite this, when the game wants to get serious, you buy into it fully because it stays within the boundaries of it's reality. the same goofy eyed behemoths can be made to look menacing or threatening by just changing the context around them. The total length of this long game is also staggering compared to what is acceptable nowadays. Love it!

This was my first time playing a Dragon Quest game and I loved it. This game has a good story and it is very fun.

Best RPG in a very long time. If you like turn based combat and a good story, this is definitely the way to go.

Purchased it over a week ago and still playing it. story is good and game play is addicting. Great if you like JRPG
