A good set of movies for 20 dollars, if you are a fan of the series and its movies, it's a good deal.

    First 3 DBZ Movies

These three movies are the first three DBZ movies and they have been redone by the Funimation dub. Originally, these three movies were the only ones not done by the Funimation dub; these three movies were the only DBZ movies to be done by the Ocean dub. I like the Funimation voices better for the most part, but Doctor Wheelo's voice in the Funimation dub is just plain horrible, his voice was a thousand times better in the Ocean dub. Other than that, this box set is pretty good, except for the fact that there is a mistake in "The Tree Of Might" which is that Goku says Kaio-Ken times twenty, when in the original Goku said Kaio-Ken times ten. Since it would be extremely unlikely to find these movies in the Ocean dub and since the only one of these movies that Funimation has sold by itself is the "Dead Zone" movie, it would probably be best to buy this product if you want to watch the first three DBZ movies.

    No need for blu-ray

All of the DBZ movies do not share the same continuity with the television series. They simply retell the story with a villain no one has heard of and because they have a bigger budget to work with the fight scenes are twice as long and better animated. The Dead Zone is the only DBZ movie that could loosely fit into the TV series continuity. In my opinion, it has better fight scenes than The World's Strongest. The rating of 3 stars is not due to content but rather the allure that DBZ on blu-ray is better looking than a standard DVD. I've seen DBZ in both HD and SD on my 40" 1080p Samsung television (with HDMI cables) and they are indistinguishable. I tried looking at the HD version really, really hard and I think that there is a lesser amount of pixelage but you need a dang magnifying glass to see that. So in conclusion, great addition to any DBZ fan's collection but stick with the movies on SD DVDs for the cheaper price and the same quality.

The movie "The world's strongest" isn't about Raditz kidnapping his nephew Gohan. Its about who Dr. Wheelo broked free from the frozen mountain peaks and trying to take over the planet.

The overview is wrong about The Worlds Strongest. It is not about Radditz kiddnapping Gohan.
