I never played the original DuckTales games on the NES, but I loved the cartoon as a kid. This game has wonderfully colorful graphics, solid controls and level designs. I really enjoyed the voice-acting and little cut-scenes as they are so faithful to the show. Game is probably a little too easy for hard core platform gamers, and the music on some levels can be annoying, but those are only minor issues. 5 stars.

I'm glad they remastered this game. This game had all the key highlights from what I remembered from my childhood. Some reviews mentioned the cut scenes were a bit much but the story line is great. I can see how the second time around can be more disruptive however you can skip it when you push the start button. It's a mild inconvenience. Very kid friendly and easy to play. Only 2 buttons plus the stick or game pad. I highly recommend this game. Also punch out! Remake for wii verso definitely worth it as well. The main reason to go back and play it over is to collect everything in the gallay plus bonus material like music stuff like that. You buy that with the money you collect from each map. I would buy this again.

I can't say enough about this game! The animation is 100% Disney quality cel-shaded art, the new backgrounds are beautiful, and the music and gameplay are the same as the original! All of the (surviving) voice actors return (including the voices of Scrooge McDuck and Magica De Spell -- both in their 90's) for true authenticity!

Well bless me bagpipes! Brought back memories as soon as I heard opening song, which is from the 8 bit original. Almost exactually like the first game. Forget the new shooters. I'll take this all day over any FPS.

This is a great remake of a NES classic. The graphics are great, but I kind of miss the old game. This one seems a bit cluttered on the screen.

I remember having this game for the old Nintendo system when I was a kid. I remember playing it after school and on the weekends, many times after watching the cartoon itself. When I saw this game reimagined for the WiiU, I bought it for the sake of revisiting a piece of my childhood, but to also introduce it to my kids as well. What I like about the game is how they cleaned it up and the graphics look far better than the 8 bit version long ago. I also like how they added the original voice actors to speak the dialog verses just reading it. It gives it a special added bonus and goes a long way from where the game used to be. My kids certainly don't understand that, but I appreciate it. I bought this game at best buy in a bargin bin, so for those who grew up watching duck tales and possibly played the game on the old NES I recommend picking up this version. I hear Disney is also remaking an animated version of Ducktales for DisneyXD, so this would be a good stepping stone to introduce any children that you may have to the original concept of Scrooge McDuck and his newphews.

My nephew got a win u for Christmas and he loves all his games this one was very affordable and kid friendly

I was really excited to see a remastered version of Duck Tales out since I have such fond memories of playing this game on the NES back in the days. It really brought back so many good childhood memories for me. The game was just as good as I remember. I would even say that it might have been a bit more challenging for me because it's been many years since I've played any 2D games like this.

If you ever played DuckTales years ago on the original Nintendo Entertainment system, you should buy this game. It has all new graphics, music and sound effects, but the gameplay is nearly identical. The game makers kept the heart and soul of the game. If you enjoyed the NES version, you'll love this one!

I never really played the original on the NES because it was really simply before my time, however I picked this one to enjoy as soon as I heard about the remaster. After seeing videos of the 80's version you can immediately tell this is a tremendous revision, it looks and plays phenomenally!

Picked this because of my love of the original NES game and was pleasantly surprised with with great the game is. The art style is great, the original cast of voice actors is perfect for riding on nostalgia too. My only complaint is all the cutscenes seem to drag the game's pace down some but great game aside from that.

Ducktales Remastered is an amazing game that captures both the spirit of the NES game and the spirit of the cartoon. Playing through the levels in this game was like playing an episode of the cartoon

This game with its iconic characters bring back fond memories of watching the cartoon. The game is beautifully re-mastered and plays well on the WII U console. The story is fun, and the stages are challenging!

My kids loved this game, and it brought back fond memories from my childhood. My one drawback is that the game is much cheaper to download. (I did not realize that until after my kids opened the packaging.)

Purchased this game for a 5 year old boy. Have not played this myself but the child has given a glowing review by saying that he loves it and has not stopped playing it.

I got this game for my daughter. It is just like the TV shows that I used to watch when I was a kid. I brought back so many memories. The game play is good.

As a gamer zone member I got this for $12.. Worth the price to relive the side scrolling goodness. Plus this is a pretty game due to its remaster.

Ducktales HD is far from the orginal on the NES, it's not an 100% faithful remake, but it sure is a good one that oughta bring a feeling of nostalgia for many.

Really nice to see one of the classic cartoon games from the 80's get a remaster. Very smooth and well done. Lots of fun.

This remake perfectly captures the original levels of difficulty and fun in a much more aesthetically pleasing game. They should make more games like this.
