This game is absolutely fantastic. I attempted to play DW8 on Xbox360, and it is the most broken-laggy-unplayable garbage I have seen in the history of video gaming... which made me sad because I love X360, but I gave it a chance on the next-gen system and wow the PS4 version is near perfection. They fixed all the issues I had with previous DW games. The graphics finally got a much needed update and look great, draw distance is superb and unlike ever before, the frame rate is virtually flawless... and no more enemies appearing out of thin air. They de-cloned the characters and gave unique move sets to each weapon instead, and it worked out very well. EACH character has a full set of attacks, combos, EX moves, a storm rush, 3 different musou attacks, and a unique rage mode attack... and so you know, there are 82 different characters & 82 different weapons! Additional cool random features are: cinematic specials and finishers, hypothetical stages, a weapon fusion/tampering system, new 6 star weapons, knock-down recovery, a new "ultimate" difficulty, a special attack for switching weapons and so much more. ***My only REAL complaint is that the game advertises the "PS3&PS4 online cross platform" play, HOWEVER it was a absolute joke and constantly disconnected us. To be honest, the online mode was virtually unplayable and they should have left this feature OUT if they can't properly implement it/support it.

I see DW8 like so: it's the best parts of games like DMC and GOW made into a whole game. The game is essentially the fights with minions in those other games and those are my favorite parts. Each character has their own unique weapon which in turn a unique moveset. The special attacks are very powerful and exciting and I like the Chinese history/mythos. Their is alot of content and it has multiplayer.

The generation comes with enriched characters and fighting styles. Very impressive. I enjoy the graphics and story a lot!

Lets you have many different generals to choose from. Fast paced game with a lot of re-playability. If you like mass mayhem and mowing through enemies, this is the game for you.

If you have played these games since it started you will be more impressed because the graphics and story lines are way better than any other dynasty warrior game

Great game, very faithful to the dynasty warriors series, but one concern I do have is the fluidity when using the controls. There are some concerns with being able to move around in a very fluid fashion and easily transition from fighting in a certain direction, but otherwise, very nice game.

I have been playing DW games since Dynasty Warriors 2. Although the battles are the exact same, game after game, it remains fun. Controls do not feel as tight as they could, and it is frustrating when you get one shotted by some general out of no where, but I continue to enjoy the series.

Like all of the dynasty warriors before. Great button masher. Not super great story but still loads of fun to play. Highly recommend.

Definitely a great comeback for Koei after last game. Well worth the wait!

I've been a dynasty warriors liver for years and this game is the best that they've made so far. So many playable characters and levels.

The game background and characters are from Chinese 3 kingdoms dynasty. Unless you are fascinated with Chinese culture I wouldn't recommend this game.

I love dynasty warriors but think that the price should have been much lower for those who already played it before the PS4 version. They didn't add much to charge full price. It was nothing more to me than DLC content. However if you are a Dynasty Warriors fan and a Lu Bu fan, this is worth a purchase to play his story on next gen. Plus its much cheaper to buy now.

I've been playing DW since the 3rd and almost nothing new has change to the battle system.

I purchased pre-owned game for the first time. Game it self is good but package of pre-owned is bad - In my case, no original package and no manual. Just disk with clear case. Maybe my expectation for pre-owned game is too high.
