I used it to plug in my batbox and bat tv. It should have came in black though

I used this product on my trip to Thailand. Whenever I plugged in my hairdryer, flatiron or curling iron, my options were (1) it didn't work at all; (2) it came on too low; or (3) it came on super high. I'm not sure what other options are out there (none at Best Buy that I could find), but I was disappointed.

Acts as a surge protector but not well. Pulsates power which doesn't allow proper electricity to get to appliance. Not compatible with Saudi power.

With weight being an issue in luggage, when I travel, I found this converter much heavier then the one own.

If you are going overseas you definitely need this to hook up your camera battery to recharge. I believe this adapter allows enough wattage to compare to a typical wall outlet. All in all it served us very well and with all the adapter pieces we were able to hook up two devices to European power. Its definitely strong enough to take a blow dryer.

Saw the other reviews but still purchased the item. We went to Italy for 10 days and the wife used this for her hair dryer and flat iron. Other converters have a time limit of 15 minutes of consistent usage on high voltage items, but this one did not. Our last converter from Radio Shack did not last for a 10 day trip to India, and also damaged the wife's flat iron.

This is a great product for those travelers who are looking for a multi-country adapter. It is also great that it converts the voltage to match the type of item you're trying to use with a flick of a switch. Make sure you read the instructions on what items need to use the "HIGH" vs. "LOW" mode... my wife destroyed her hair straightener as she thought the switch was on and off. All in all, good product and worked for us.

Purchased this as we were leaving for Ireland. Worked well, no issues other than found other brands and items that would have done the job for less.

it works but the quality is poor. it is also very bulky

This is a great converter. I took it to Argentina and it worked great allowing me to use my hot tools curling iron and low watt blow dryer. I also room this to Paris and the converter worked great with my iron and the adapter were good door charging my phone. I would definitely recommend this product for traveling.

I bought this before going on a trip to England. It worked great for the first 4 days or so, then it stopped working. My trip was for 10 days, but luckily my friend had one so I could share with her. Of course I lost my receipt so I am out 40 bucks. Don't buy this converter, buy the cheap $20 Dynex converter. My friend has the other one and it has worked for over a month for her. Also that one is smaller and easier to use.

Worked well in Scotland and Ireland with resistive (hair dryer) or transformer (computer) loads, but not with anything electronically controlled. Wife has electronically temperature controlled straightener which did not work with the converter. So, we just bought a 220V one in Scotland - problem solved and reason to return!

Use this product to charge phones. Power pulsates on and off to laptop. Will not maintain charge

I recently went to South Korea and found this device is just too heavy to use in there outlets and the two connecting pieces of this device don't stay connected together, plus the weight causes it to fall out of the outlet. If you can some how find a way to get it to stay in the wall it will probably not even give you enough power to even heat up a curling iron (which was my problem). I also don't like that it only has two outlet holes so you won't be able to use it for devices that need 3 holes (like my laptop charger). I will definitely be returning this product.
