    I bought this with trepidation because as so often with Apple the finely tuned product can tell when you don't pay the Apple tax for the authorized lightning cable. I've used this cord every day since I've purchased it and never once had it not charge because my iPhone or iPad said it wasn't an authorized cable or whatever the message is.
