I'm very happy with this product. It was a great price for the unit. It's efficient, so ez to use, and does a great job. It's just the right size. Plus, I got free delivery for this product.

The product definetly does as promised but is super loud.

I found this on sale at a great price but it stopped working! I was able to exchange for an identical one so lets see how it goes.

I was hoping to get a shredder that works on carbonless copies, not just paper. Still a good shredder for copy paper though.

Worked great of the box. When the basket got close to full I pushed the shredded paper down to get the last few sheets left to fit. The paper pushed the back of the plastic basket out. This caused the safety contact to open and the shredder wouldn't work. It took a few minutes to figure out the problem and now it works again. Just don't try to compress the shredded paper to try to get more in. I guess a metal basket would solve this but then the price would probably have to go up.

I use this for shredding unwanted mail and think the shredded pieces could be smaller

I really have no complaints so far of this shredder. I had years of accumulated mail that needed shredding and it got the job done. Only once did it over heat and had shut down, but it's obvious why it did so. I was woroing that shredder nonstop. I let it sit for about 30 minutes to continue on. Worth the monies paid.

This shredder does exactly what I need it to do. It was easy to set up and use right from the start. It has no trouble with 6-8 pages nor has it had any trouble with any credit cards or CDs. I would recommend it for home use

This shredder shreds papers to a small diamond shaped confetti. Private information is shredded beyond recognition. Since it shreds to such a small size, the confetti falls to the bottom of the can without springing up and getting stuck in the teeth of the shredder.

I wasn't to thrilled with this product. I should have upgraded to something more substantial and better quality. When you by cheaper products this is what happens when you are cheap.

light weight, easy to empty and cuts up 8 sheets at a time. turns self off and low noise level .

Only had this for 8 weeks and shredded paper to fill bucket only twice. Sensor is very sensitive but paper has to be VERY precisely placed in slot for teeth to grab the paper. Initially it worked fine on no more than 3 pages at a time. Speed slowed significantly and paper jammed up in the teeth more often in more significant amounts over time despite following directions on monthly maintenance. First credit card placed in credit card slot jammed it half way through the card.

This shredder is by far the best i have seen for a home shredder as i got it on sale & its powerful and has allot of features the cd & the credit card shredder works great & neither made the shredder slow down. As for the paper it does a great job compared to my old royal that died this will take a very thick paper up to 6 sheets and 8 sheets on the thinner papers . It will slow down just a little with heavy paper and it did NOT jam up like other reviews on here so they claimed i even tried to let the paper build in the basket til it was being sucked up into the blades & no jam for me after i emptied the basket it just cleans itself out with the first sheet of paper ran through . As for the run longevity it will shred for long periods of time as it got mildly warm and never shut down as i ran my YRS of documents through it i figure i ran it for three 10 min sessions i did let it cool down between sessions . All in all if your looking for the quality shredder this is the one for your home..

At $51, with a 4 gallon capacity, this Dynex shredder seemed like a great value for the occasional shredder like myself. It claimed to be able to shred up to 8 papers at one time. However, this shredder would often get paper jams with only 1 or 2 pieces of paper put in. Then one day it just completely stopped working....no paper jam, no power surge....just stopped. At least it can double as a garbage pail for now.

Just brought this shredder 1 week ago. I have to empty the basket too often compared to my old shredder. Also, the paper keeps getting stuck under the lid where the blades are located. I am constantly having to pull out a lot of pieces of paper from under the lid. This is going back to the store. I would not recommend this one if you are in the market to buy another shredder for home use. I won't be looking for another diamond cut shredder. Only cross strip like mine that broke.

The shredder stop working after 6 months of ownership, I just shred regular mail, nothing heavy. First it started with a weird noise on the motor, and then suddenly stop working, I can hear the motor running, but it doesn't shred anymore. Also, the paper get stuck on the blades very often, I never put more than 3 pages at a time. I think is better buy a better shred than buy this cheap one, it will be more expensive on the long run.
