I just got using this over seas and it worked great. I purchased this converter/adapter after doing a little research. After reading some of the bad reviews on how things blew up, I can only guess that they may have purchased the adapter only that is made by the same company and looks almost the same. The adapter version does not have a power converter built in like this item does, so be careful.

It gets the job done and you get a few choices so anywhere you travel you will have the right outlets and power converter, Worked great, hairdryer was a little weak though.

I purchased the Dynex Adapter and Converter Unit for a trip to the UK. The unit is versatile and easy to use. The direction that are included in the packaging are easy to follow. For the price, you can't go wrong.

A little difficult to figure out at first to get in socket, but then worked great.

I'm so mad that I wasted nearly 50 bucks on this thing and it has already blew up two of my things. I'm in the UK for the month and needed an adapter and converter. Saw the negative reviews about this product, but i figured I'd still give it a try. No it's terrible, go somewhere else so you don't get a cheap piece of equipment.

This has the adapter and converter option. Still on my trip to London and on the first day both my alarm clock and laptop got fried. It worked fine to re-charge my camera but definitely was not good for my other electronics. Not much option were available if looking for both adapter and converter. Borrowed a computer to make this comment

Bought two of these for a recent trip to London & Paris. Was very easy to use. Plugged in overnight & used for cell phone and digital camera.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I am in the UK right now and unable to use this converter. I plugged the device in at a hotel and it IMMEDIATELY surged. I checked the instructions to make sure that I was using it properly, and to my dismay, found that the device simply DOES NOT WORK. Please do not purchase it. I expect to return it as soon as I get home.

This is the first time that I have reviewed a product. I normally do not but this product did not work for the reason it was purchased. I bought this for my wife to use her flat iron while we went to europe. We went to Paris and when she plugged her flat iron in it burned out right away. This thing is junk and now I need to buy a new $200 flat iron.

Waste of money. Did not work properly in any outlets in the UK. Worked well in France but is big and bulky and akward in outlets.

Self contained various adaptors with surge protection

I bought this for a trip to the UK. When I got to the hotel the plug for the UK did not even fit into the wall socket. If you are going to England or Ireland you need an adapter with 3 prongs. This only has two. I don't know if it works anywhere else in the world, but definitely not in the UK.

Tried to use it in Hastings England in a hotel room, it blew the breakers so bad, we had to change rooms. Returned to store for refund. Glad I had an apple computer and Ipad which did not require this product.

Purchase for travel to Spain. Did not work at all. Had to purchase a new converter/adapter in Spain.

I used this for my flat iron while in Sinagpore on a Business trip, and it did not work as a converter. My flat iron still burnt up.
