The protection isn't on par with Lifeproof cases, but I've dropped my phone twice and it didn't crack. WORD OF WARNING: The iPhone 6S is slightly ticker than the 6. This does fit my 6S, but it's harder to put my phone on vibrate, because the case is almost touching the switch.
