We need an ambient heater that would also provide extra heat by way of a fan when needed. It was easy to put together, rotated and tilted nicely, but the noise of the motor going was too much to live with.

Posted .Our first Hot + Cool units were comparable to other fan heaters at 61.9dBa. Dyson sound engineers worked to reduce the tonality of the sound produces by Air Multiplier technology. Though it didn't heat the entire house, it worked well to heat a single room and kept us warm this Christmas. I'm very impressed with this heater. Yes, it does make noise, but that doesn't bother us, as most heaters do.

Posted .Hi Cinty, this is Joe with Dyson. All Dyson authorized dealers are required to provide a 30 day return period. I am sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with your AM05. Like any heater, the cold air will combat the hot air from the heater. This is part of how a heater works to keep your room warm.

It gets the job done with no problems at all. I would recommend use in small spaces to get the full benefit of the heater. The silver color is awesome!!

It is pretty loud. If it was quiet it would get 5 stars. For the price it is going for I would get a regular fan.
