Dyson sound engineers have worked on reducing the tonality of the sound produced by Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans, by targeting specific frequencies. Noise isn’t only about the decibel level, but the quality of the sound being produced. This unit should not interfer with viewing your favorite television shows. Q: what size is the room? how big an area can it cool/heat effectively?
A: my Room is 10X14 on setting 4 @ 70 degrees it does a great job & only runs a little
A: I'm not a rep but I use mine for a living room /dining room kitchen combo equal to about 500 feet & it will bring up a vaulted ceiling room from 68 to 70 in less than 45 mins. I know that does not seem like much but when it's 17 outside & snowing 68 actually has a chill in the air. If I Use it in my Bedroom about 110 feet raises the temp in about 10 mins Hope this helps

The AM05's cool mode functions more as a fan by increasing the air velocity in the room, than an air conditioner; which lowers the actual temperature of the air provided. A: You can use it outside provided you have a power source. It is not an air conditioner.
