Hi Bob, It's Vince with Dyson. The AM05 is designed to be quieter than our previous Air Multipliers. Dyson sound engineers have worked on reducing the tonality of the sound produced by Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans, by targeting specific frequencies. Noise isn’t only about the decibel level, but the quality of the sound being produced. This unit should not interfer with viewing your favorite television shows. We will be happy to answer any further questions around the functionality of the AM05 via email at [email protected]. Best wishes, Vince
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sitting next to it, you might hear a hum, but from across the room, I doubt it would interfere. It is no louder than when my furnace is running and I am in a newer home, with a new furnace.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fan was quiet. It did not interfer with the TV at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is slightly loud on full power. I have defenitly heard quieter fans but i have found that is not loud enough to disturb my sleep if that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Super quiet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does make noise. On low the sound is slight, but on higher levels it can get pretty loud.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I usually listen to my tv on a 4 sound rating. When the heater is on...I turn up to 10. The fan is rather loud; however, the benefits for the heater outweigh the noise level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the fan is running on high it is somewhat loud but I have not noticed any problem with hearing the tv
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The noise level is not a major interfence with TV watching.
