Q: QuestionRegarding room size, I've have two answers - 600sf and 240sqf - huge difference. Does a Dyson rep ever answer? Thanks.

• A:Answer I'm not a rep but I use mine for a living room /dining room kitchen combo equal to about 500 feet & it will bring up a vaulted ceiling room from 68 to 70 in less than 45 mins. I know that does not seem like much but when it's 17 outside & snowing 68 actually has a chill in the air. If I Use it in my Bedroom about 110 feet raises the temp in about 10 mins Hope this helps

The AM05's cool mode functions more as a fan by increasing the air velocity in the room, than an air conditioner; which lowers the actual temperature of the air provided. Q: QuestionCan this be used in a 240 sq.ft. open air 3 walled area?I have a cigar smoking area I would love to be able to supplement my fire pit with heat as well as cool in the summer.

• A:Answer Hi Yen, It's Vince with Dyson. The Dyson Heater/Fan is designed to run off 12 amps or power. While in cooling mode, the unit runs on 40 watts of power. While in standby mode, this unit operates on 1w of power. Dyson products are not multi-voltage, and internation use of a product would void the warranty. Best wishes, Vince
