My carpet was starting to show signs of its 7 years of age so I decided to get a Bissell Pro carpet cleaner. I vacuumed with my normal vacuum and then while cleaning the carpets I noticed the Bissell picking up dog hair into wet clumps. This was AFTER I vacuumed! After the Bissell pro carpet cleaner did its job my carpets looked and smelled fresh again. But since I lost faith in my current vacuum I bought a Dyson Ball Allergy. Just for fun, I ran it back over the same areas that had been vacuumed with my previous vac AND the Bissell pro carpet cleaner. What the Dyson was able to pick up after that both shocked and disgusted me. (See pic) But I now see why there are so many positive reviews about Dysons. They excel at removing dirt from carpet.

Although it's early my wife and I were immediately impressed with how much this vacuum picked up. It was also easy to empty and I won't have to worry about bag replacement. The mechanism for putting the vacuum in upright and reclined position is a little tricky but I figured it out. Cord and hose are more than adequately long. Suction for attachments is excellent.

This vacuum is very nice. It has good suction and assists you in pushing it around. It turns on a dime and is a great buy! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is we had to return the first one a day later because the little retractable wheels that allow it to stand up broke and would not lock. This is a common problem with these ball vacuums.

I bought several different cheap vacuum before, ok, this one is the most expensive one I've ever bought, and guess what, it is the BEST! Its my new best friend now, and i'm not worried about the mess on the floor or dust in the corner ever again.

This is the best vacuum I've ever owned. The suction is crazy. Sometimes it lifts the carpet off the ground. Only flaw is when you bring it to the upright position it has to click twice to stay upright. Otherwise it will fall back to the floor.

It's very powerful. Very easy to manage it. Price is good.

This is our second Dyson and I was able to get it in a Flash Sale for a great price. A lot more powerful than our older unit with a lot of new attachments. Dysons really do a great job of picking everything up. And no bags!

We've used an Oreck for years, however needed it to be serviced, and in its absence, we needed another vacuum to get us by. The Dyson has become our go-to vacuum because of its performance, suction, ease of use, etc.

Easy to put together. Directions on use are pretty useless. I ran this vacuum after running my other vacuum about 2 hours earlier. I could not believe how much dirt was left behind by the other vacuum. Great vacuum!

Well thought-out vacuum. Works very. Strongest suction that I've seen! Attachments work very well. Love the fact that the long extension is stored in the vacuum hose.. Dyson upright vacuum

I was hesitant to throw down for a Dyson, but after the numerous glowing reviews and not wanting to hear complaints from the wife about a Hoover with the belt coming off or having other issues, this was money well spent! Tested one room by vacuuming with the WIndTunnel and then followed up with the Dyson. The Dyson, while a bit quieter too, picked up a ton of dirt/dust from the carpet! Very impressed! Well engineered vacuum!

The Dyspn is so easy to maneuver and use. Also, I love the bag less style, so easy to empty and clean. The longer cord comes in handy, less need for an extension cord

I enjoy using this vacuum overall. It's a bit heavy and the attachments are not easy to put on but I love the bagels part that we can just dump and never worry about filters.

After 10 wonderful years of a never fail, I had opportunity to purchase another vacuum cleaner. I polled FaceBook followers for recommendations, & was surprised by the number of Shark suggestions. Not even ONE mentioned Dyson, but they ALL raved about Shark. So I went to a store who carried all forms of vacuum cleaners to test current availability. Much to my surprise, none came close to Dyson! Suction, size of debris tank, both top on my list besides BAGLESS, not even HALF as reliable, ease, & functionality! I am still a proud owner!

Suction power is unrivaled. All vacuums eventually break down, we all know so what I found really neat is that the Geek Squad protection plan I purchased combines with the Dyson 5 year warranty to give me 9 years of warranty protection! One of the few products Best Buy does this with. The vacuum is great but the extended & combined warranty makes this purchase from Best Buy a no brainier.

This is my second Dyson vacuum and it is the best one yet. Even better suction than the first generation. The only disappointment is that the accessory tools are not interchangeable with my previous upright Dyson. I'm sure Dyson did this for additional profit, but it is a disservice to their customers to force them to buy expensive accessories that were already paid for and are still very useful.

Pretty powerful machine! It does a great job with no doubt. Don't know how much better it is compared to a regular Walmart, $80 vacuum... Maybe it's worth the money, but I am not certain.

I gave up on buying the $100 to $150 vacuum cleaners that last 6 months and spent the money on this Dyson. It works great! I definitly like all the dust accessories it came with. Great for dusting blinds and other house hold items. Great suction even with the container nearly full! It also has a 5 year parts and labor warranty. That right there is just another great reason to buy it! I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a quality vacuum that will last.

I was afraid of paying $400 for a vacuum, but my wife loves it. It's much easier to maneuver than the old one with 4 wheels. The cord is long, the hose is long enough. It really picks up the dog hair and dust. Usually when I empty the canister I have to rinse it out because it's so dusty. A bag may actually be a little less hassle. It's fairly sturdy but every thing is plastic. I could see the intricate latch that holds the canister on breaking some day.

I like this vacuum a lot because it has very good suction and has the ball feature which I feel allows for better movement. The vacuum is a little on the heavy side.
