the dyson ball allergy feature has been such a bonus for my household. i especially love the attachment recommended for vacuuming up hair, as i am Asian American and have very long hair that sheds constantly. this has been a godsend, my maid/s were getting sick of having to cut my lengthy hairs that used to get wound into the vacuum's rolling bar mechanism and they'd have to cut the hair out frequently in order for the vacuum to spin (work), at all. don't miss doing that! also, this new model is simply superior to older trackball versions as the motor is stronger; basically this is the most powerful dyson yet, and the improvement is obvious. my allergies have reduced significantly so yes, the anti allergy feature definitely delivers! my dog also sheds a lot and this model is great for managing smells, allergies and pile up of his hairs. i also love the dyson handheld (dust buster) model for easy speedy clean up b/f guests arrive. we love dyson!

after having a cheap vacuum for years and a new baby in the house with allergy problems my wife and I had to do something. we bought this vacuum to see if it was what they say it was. we vacuumed our carpet just before we bought the dyson. the dyson picked up one and a half bags extra. I'm very happy with the production of the dyson. Still not happy with the price but for my little one, it was worth it.

Same as many other reviews, the rear locking wheels don't always lock. Outside of that the performance and ease of use easily outweighs the issue.

The best vacuum I have owned with amazing suction and very easy to set-up and use.

After watching the Dyson commercials for a few years, I decided I wanted one. We have large dogs who shed and after mangling every vacuum we've ever bought, I wanted something that could stand up under the strain. I read about the pet versions of this machine, which were out of my price range, and noticed some had less recorded horsepower than this one! Anyway, I took the plunge and purchased. What a great machine! Granted, I have to use it at least once or twice a week to keep up with the pet hair and it would be nice if the hopper was bigger, but it does what it says. I rinse the filters once per month because of all the gunk it pulled from our rugs (hair, dirt -- it's dusty where we are too and the wind blows in lots of dirt during the season -- the sprinkle powder you put down to make the rugs smell good, you name it, the Dyson found it). Be warned: there is a maximum fill line on the hopper -- follow instructions or else! I realized some dog hair had gotten past the line and had to fish it all out. Not fun since that part of the hopper does not come apart.

This vacuum is well worth the money, the suction is just amazing. I bought this for my Business but I used at my carpet and home where I have a cat and dog and this vacuum pick up some much hidden dirt and hair from my carpet that I filled the canister just vacuum 3 small areas. It also work great on thin outdoor carpet that I use at my business. You will be happy with your purchase.

WOW - I can honestly say WOW - I Had no idea we were living with this much dirty in the carpets - even though I vacuum at least 2x week.. just WOW.. It's lightweight, and the tools are awesome! And must be pretty cool since my 9 year old fights to be the one to vacuum - Can't complain about that one.

My new dyson is amazing. We had vacuumed our house just a few days before we bought our new dyson. Revacuumed the house and the new dysons canister was almost full! It is the best vacuumed I have ever purshased.

This vacuum is easy to maneuver especially if you suffer from arthritis. It is very powerful interns of suction. If suctioned more dust particles than my previous vacuum in the carpet. I suggest taking the. Extra warranty because of the plastic parts. Also shop around for price match Best Buy is great at honoring .

I was looking for a vacuum that would not only perform well, but one that would last. My last two Sharks bit the dust after a year. My first Dyson I purchased many years ago lasted for 10 years before it went out. This day in age, that's really good for a vacuum. So back to Dyson I went. So far so good!

After buying a cordless Dyson to make it easier to clean up cat litter and loving it, I got this to replace a bagless vac. It comes with a lot of useful tools and it does a much better job than the last one I had. This one filled with dirt the first time I used it, showing how bad that old one was.

So I did not want to buy this product mainly bc of the price tag they have on it. I had a $75 vaccum before this and it was ok nothing great but my wife wanted something better when it broke. After a compromise I went and bought this and it has been awesome . This thing got dirt up from my carpet that was left behind from my previous one and pulls up anything in its way. Only downside to the equipment is the price.

I was replacing and older version that I passed on to a friend. This one is better with easier to get to filters. It has several easy to use attachments and this one reaches further than my last one. I particularly enjoy the thin wand that fits under the tv and other electronics sitting on a shelf.

We have been hesitant for a long time to purchase a high dollar vacuum; however, we are glad we did. We vacuumed with our old vacuum and then ran over the same spot with this and was amazed at what came out. Great for hardwood as well.

The vacuum works great I was able to get on the floor to play with the kids and not get dog hair all over me we have 2 dogs we also bought the hair attachment for the couches and it works great with the vacuum the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that it smells like dog when ever I turn it on after using it for a week I have not washed the filter yet to see if that gets rid of the smell

I like the suction and maneuvering ability of the ball feature. It gets under things well and corners well. It is light but powerful. It's a bit of a pain to clean the canister and filters but then I feel that the air put back into the room is free of dust and particles.
