We had looked at Dyson along with all other brands of cannister vacuum. We weren't convinced the price justified the purchase. Our Hoover died during a rainy weekend in December. This unit was priced just $100 over what we paid for our Hoover 4 years ago. I brought it home, set it up - easy to use, and NO LOSS OF SUCTION (which is the selling point). It is easy to dump the collected material, and it stores very compactly. We weren't aware until after purchase that there are any number of attachments available that don't come with it. I have purchased two. THE COMPANY PROVIDES A FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. No need to purchase additional warranty

I got this new Dyson because my daughter was always borrowing my old Dyson. However, I kept my old floor attachment as I have hardwood/ceramic floors and she uses the rotary attachment only. The reason I kept the old floor attachment is with this machine, the main attachment has a dual purpose and you have to pull a trigger and hold it to disable the rotary action to be able to just vacuum floors like hardwood. Since my old floor attachment fits my new Dyson, there is no need to have to constantly have this tension on my arthritic finger. Problem solved!

Excellent product.. powerful, light and small for storage. ease of removing extensions, attachments etc.. is a plus

I bought this Dyson to replace my old vacuum, and what a difference! Very powerful! Makes vacuuming the house fun!

Easy to use, light weight and very compact. Only thing i can complain about is you can't stand up hose and head part alone you need to prop it against walls or furniture.

We got this vacuum a year ago and really like it so I recommended it as a gift for my mom for Christmas. She already tried it and loves it as well! Great quality, easy to use.

Order the vacuum online and pick up at local store same day. Good product, I have 80% hard floor, 20 % carpet, very easy to switch. Did not get the "hair attachment", not needed, I can take out the brush and clean it - easy.

This was my first Dyson purchase and it didn't disappoint! Had used Bissell in the past and this vacuum just blew that one out of the water! No comparison with prior vacuums I have used, worth every penny!!

I have been wanting a Dyson for a few years now. As soon as my vacuum died I went out and got my Dyson. Works great and keeps the rugs looking like new.

This vacuum is the best. Lots of power. I'm amazed at how much dirt and pet hair I get.

It is a nice little vac. I needed it for my hard wood. It kinda stalls out on my plush carpet but I think I need to clean it.

I have owned many vacuums. This one is light weight but does not flip over. The suction is unbelievable. It works on both laminate flooring and rug. I have stairs and can carry it easily up the stairs and it also fits on the stairs too! I have paid much more for high end vacuums that didnt even come close to this one's performance. I highly recommend this vacuum.

It does a good job of cleaning on both hardwood(with extra hardwood attachment) and carpets. It is light enough to hold while cleaning the stairs.

Best vacuum I ever purchased. It works well and has terrific suction. Not too heavy to carry around, but it could be lighter. Easy to clean!

i have had at least three or four vacuums in the past and this vacuum is by far the best ever i always wanted a dyson and its worth every penny
