I was really looking forward to getting this but it totally disappointed me.

It sits in a small room and does not move air very well not does it improve the cooling. If I haven’t thrown the box and receipt away, I would have returned it.

With regard to actually cooling your room air, air conditioning units and the Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans are two very different products that work in very different ways. An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans cool a person by moving air over and around them.
Dyson takes feedback from our owners seriously as we understand that the comments we receive from our customers help us continue to move forward and create technology that makes sense. When designing our technology we are conscious to make sure that our products interact most efficiently for and with our customers. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered a lack of airflow from your machine.
