It can heat and cool a single room really well. So well that we often use it instead of turning on the air conditioning or heat. But, my wife took it to work because her office was cold so we've now purchased a 2nd for home because it is so good.

I had recently adopted two cats. I am SUPER ALLERGIC to CATS. Coughing, sneezing, wheezing and running nose! It took me two weeks to recover from the sore throat. With that being said, seconds upon turning on my dyson everything ceased! My cats can even sleep on my chest and I can breath without an issue. I haven’t coughed or sneezed once. It’s super quite and strong

I have to say that the cool air is just recirculating air that goes through the filter and comes a little cooler than the air in the room you are. The press of the air that is coming out is not as much with regular fans, therefore you won't feel the air hitting on you as you would with another fan. The heat function works, but have not tried since it's not winter. Once winter comes I'll update the post.
