||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to heat and cool my office of around 150 sq ft that gets a little chilly in the winter and hot in the summer. I bought it to replace my portable room radiator and tower fan which worked fine, but I get bad allergies so the idea of having one unit that is a purifier, heater, and cooler in one unit appealed to me. I was also interested in trying my first Dyson product. The first disappointment was taking it out of the box. The entire thing is made of cheap plastic. If this were a $50 fan that would make since, but for a fan that is hundreds of dollars, I would expect some touches of materials besides plastic. As for the heating, I set the temperature at 70 degrees and while heat comes out, it can't seem to heat the room and just continuously runs. If I set it to 66 degrees, it can do that. I used the medium fan speed since any higher is disruptive. Keep in mind that this room is 150 sq ft. I will likely return this. I'm not saying it is all bad, just doesn't suit my needs and way overpriced for what you get. Makes me question whether I will buy another Dyson product again.

Thank you for your review. This is Miella from Dyson. We're sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson HP01 machine. The HP01 Pure Hot+Cool purifier fan heater is made of ABS plastic, so it's absolutely durable to withstand more than the typical bump and knock-over.
In heat mode, the HP01 is designed to heat the space to the target temperature set. If the space reaches the target temperature, the machine will turn itself off. This is why the machine continues to run as it is working to heat the space. The time it takes also depends on environmental factors such as layout, ventilation, etc.
