The heater function is great, but in a warm place in the summer when you don't have AC the fan is fairly useless. The air purifier function good but I feel like I would've been better off spending my money on a dedicated air purifier and a better fan.

I wouldn't buy a 2nd one for sure. The remote is quite dated and at this price point should have come with some smart wifi features where you could control with an app. Overall the fan is as advertised but not worth it at the current price point.

The Dyson HP01 Pure Hot + Cool is our un-linked machine, while the HP02 Pure Hot + Cool Link model will come with the built-in WiFi capability to connect to the Dyson Link App on your smartphone. We're sorry to hear that you found the fan to be too noisy, in your use. Any type of loud noise, outside of normal operation, could be an indicator that the feet at the bottom of the base are not all intact, or that there is an obstruction in the airflow. We would also recommend placing the unit on a level surface. At the loudest airflow speed, the noise level would max out at 63 dBA.
