The design is sleek. I like the matte finish makes it easy to grip. I had different hair dryers but this one is more powerful and leaves my hair with a nice sheen to it. Drying my hair is quick and easy. Power cord is a bit thick, but feels very sturdy. The device offers precise control over heat and airflow settings, allowing users to tailor the drying experience to their hair type and desired style. Heat settings easy to control and because of its chip it will monitor heat and set it to the right amount to reduce excessive heat not to burn your hair. Promotes hair health. These attachments are easy to connect and can help in achieving various styling needs, from straightening to creating curls or adding volume. As someone who has a tighter men's cut, I do not often turn to my hairdryer. As such, I have grown accustomed to a "typical" hairdryer experience. Uncomfortable, too hot, loud...in short, not really a pleasant time. This Dyson hairdryer took the experience I was used to and turned it on its head. It makes me want to dry my hair. To start, as with other Dyson products, the packaging is superb. Yes, it is only packaging, but even with something as straightforward as this, you can see the time, effort and thought put into every aspect of the product. This attention to detail carries through as one moves on to the product itself. Included in the packaging are the dryer itself, three attachments (1 diffuser, 1 smoothing nozzle, 1 styling concentrator), one non-slip mat to place the dryer on and one storage hanger. The Dyson really stands out when it comes to design and performance. The construction and design make the drying process shorter, easier and less-tiring. The soft-matte finish feels nice in the hand, the plug has sufficient length (9 feet), and with the motor (and its weight) in the handle of the dryer, there is a great balance that I have not seen in other units. It certainly feels "different" at first, but it will reduce some arm fatigue from having your arm up all around your head as you are drying. After a few uses, it feels like second nature. As for the air itself, it has the power to get the job done (with 3 separate settings) as well as fantastic temperature control (also with 3 separate settings, as well as a "cool shot" button for a shot of very cool air). In the past, hair dryers I have used have always just gotten hotter and hotter as use continued. With the Dyson, however, the temperature is monitored 20 times per second and adjusted so the temperature stays constant, that is it remains at the level you select. It is something so simple (in concept at least), but it definitely makes a difference. No discussion of hairdryers can be complete without talking about how loud they are, and again, I feel the Dyson excels here as well. In my mind, there is no doubt it is quieter than any I have used, but the sound is also different than that of a "normal" unit. Just not as "forceful," if that makes any sense. It is silent? No, not by any means, but the different and quieter sound is noticeable and more pleasant to my ears. Lastly, and of more importance to some rather than others, are the attachments. They all attach to the hairdryer via magnets. This sounds strange, and again, like such a simple thing, but to able to just pop them on and off is great....and admittedly, way too much fun. So, what does all of this mean when it comes to actually drying your hair? Well, in my use, my hair dries faster, while feeling less "dried-out", has more of a shine to it, and in general, just looks and feels better. I am quite pleased with nearly every aspect of the Dyson. It does the job, does it well and looks good doing it. All of that said, I must take a moment to mention the price. All of the great features, technology, design and aspects of this product do come at a cost. This is a personal issue, but it in my experience, it has been worth it, and while I do not have the advantage at this point of seeing how it will hold up over time, I feel confident it will still be worth it down the road. I gave this gift to my wife as a christmas present. Turning it over to her now... I LOVE this hairdryer. I got it as a gift since my husband burned my other one out. I though I knew what a hairdryer was until I used this one. No brittle hair, no breakage. What more could I ask for?

I bought a new one as a surprise Thanksgiving gift for my wife. She received it today (11/27/2023). It was a big surprise! She received a used and dusty one. The seal was cut open already. The inside package was missing. I called Best Buy. They told me I needed to bring it back to the store for the exchange. Best Buy, are you seriously?! You sent me a used one, and I have to drive to the store to exchange it on my own time.

I told was great at first I've fall in love with I must get it,even though the cord was too heavy I like a lot,smooth shine dry fast but after one couple weeks of using is over heated,if on for little while it shot down by self have to wait few min before turn back on by will happen over and over again,I'm very sorry but I'm send it back..I probably recommend if you by only for your hair.

Christmas present for my daughter, SHE LOVED it and was so excited when she opened the gift. I have heard nothing but great things from her about the dryer. She dries her hair in half the time and its always so shiny. She says that its more ergonomic than other hair dryers and the weight is balanced. The heat control technology is awesome. My Daughter has a lot of hair and I thought this would be the perfect gift. I was right. If you dont use a hair dryer every day and you dont have a lot of hair then this product probably isn't for you.
