Love it! Very light and easy to use. Attachments are great. And it really does pick up dog haur, human har and dust!

I finally caved and purchased a Dyson after struggling to lug my old corded vacuum around to try and stay on top of all the dog hair in my house! I don’t know why I waited so long! This vacuum is a game changer. I can easily carry it up and down stairs with one hand! It’s lightweight but still plenty powerful to keep up with the hair of a husky and a golden retriever! My house is roughly 1,500 sqf and the battery life is long enough for that but if your house is much larger you might want to buy a second battery or purchase a more expensive Dyson with a longer battery life. But for me and my little house it works great!

I’ve only owned my Dyson V15 Detect for about one month, but honestly I was impressed after the very first use. I vacuumed 2500sq feet in no time. After this I believed the hype. It’s a legit product that I now highly recommend. I got it on sale for avout $549 which helped also. I would buy it and try it if you’ve been thinking about purchasing a new vacuum. It’s excellent and I think it’s worth it for me. Especially being able to move around my home without a cord connected to the outlet like I had previously. Being able to remove the canister and clean it and maintain it. Just super easy!!

So far I am keeping it but am not 100% I do really like cordless vacuums just have not found the perfect one yet. Pros: it has decent suction for a cordless. The light feature is nice but also a little stressful to see the dust lol Con: This is the reason I might return if I do. The weight and having to hold it on the whole time. They all do this but since this one is a little heavier it hurts my fingers and hand after a bit and I have a small house. I have joint issues so a normal person may not have an issue with this. If I had a larger house it would be a no go. While I said the suction is decent it is still not comparable to a plugged one I think. I feel like I vacuum and it shows no dust and then a second later when I go over it is dusty again. I think it just comes back from the house but the light makes me see it when I would not have otherwise. Making it feel like it will never be clean. All in all it is ok and the convenience is super nice. So will see. I am saying yes I would recommend because there is no maybe. I am torn if I would. If someone is ok gripping for a while then yes if not then no if someone has an older dustier house it might not be the best. If someone struggles with OCD type feeling of wanting everything picked up this might not be the one OR maybe that would be helpful.

I’ve been using the Dyson V15 Detect Extra for a while now, and it’s absolutely transformed how I clean my home. The laser on the cleaning head is surprisingly satisfying, highlighting dust I didn’t even know was there, and the suction is incredibly powerful on both carpets and hard floors. I love how versatile it is with all the attachments; stairs, upholstery, and tight corners are no longer a hassle, and the cordless design makes moving from room to room effortless. Emptying the bin is quick and mess-free, and overall it just makes vacuuming feel almost enjoyable rather than a chore.

As my review title suggests, this is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. When deciding to purchase the v15, you have a few options that may be a bit confusing. For example, if purchasing through dyson’s website, you’ll have the v15 absolute as an option which gives you the vacuum in an exclusive gold color, a different filter that meets HEPA filtration requirements everywhere, and a few different attachments. The one at Best Buy was the v15 extra, it’s a nickel color and comes with almost all of the attachments available for the v15 but the standout attachment for me was the low furniture attachment which does exactly as the name suggests, help you reach under low furniture. It will also come with a soft roller head brush for hard floors, and the universal brush which can be used on softer surfaces, like carpet. The v15 also comes with a wall mount that acts as a storage for the vacuum, a few accessories and also acts as the charger and there are instructions to help you install it correctly and it is fairly straightforward. As for performance, I typically use my v15 on carpeted areas in the house and let’s start with the good: -You can adjust the universal roller head brush’s opening for deeper cleaning on the carpets which is typically the setting I have it on. I still have my plug in vacuum and did multiple passes around one of the rooms, then went over the same areas immediately after with my v15 and saw how much embedded dust was missed with my standard plug in vacuum. The v15 gives you a sense of satisfaction knowing how deep this will clean, and it’s a cordless vacuum. -The smaller form factor allows for easy maneuverability, it can be used as a hand held but it’s a bit heavy so after a short time it may get uncomfortable. -Has three different settings, low, medium/automatic, and boost. I typically run it in automatic and the vacuum has sensors which will ramp up the power in areas it detects that are dirtier. -Has a dust particle counter, I typically don’t pay much attention to this but for many people, giving a visual like that continues to encourage you to want to clean. -Convenience. The fact that I just hang it on the dock station, it charges, then the next day I grab and go makes it so convenient that I find myself vacuuming sometimes twice a day in high traffic areas. They say the best vacuum is the one that you’re going to use, and I’ve used this far more than I’ve ever used a vacuum. That alone makes the price tag worth it. Now, the only negative I have for the vacuum is the battery life. If you have a large home, a single charge may not be enough to clean each and every area and it also depends on how dusty or dirty a single area may be, because if the vacuum is ramping up more often than not, it will kill battery life. If ran at low mode, it can last up to 60 minutes, but sometimes I’ll get to a high traffic area and my vacuum will constantly ramp up and the estimated battery life will drop to 20 minutes. One solution is going to dyson’s website and purchasing a second battery to have charged up so you can swap when needed during heavy cleaning days, or like me, keep your plug in vac handy when necessary.

I could definitely use the $400 gift card to go towards getting another Dyson vacuum. That’s how much I love this vacuum that I need to get another for downstairs. The suction is great and the battery last 45 mins and that a long time for a cordless vacuum. I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone but especially for those with pets, this vacuum comes with a green UFO looking light that helps you see everything dust, hair, crumbs, dirt I’m sure you get the point, Everything. It’s a real game changer. Love love love this helpful vacuum.

Love love love this vacuum. It picks up great has so many attachments. The best part is it has a green light on it that shows every little piece of dust on your floor.

Been running this vacuum for over 2 years now, and I've been pretty impressed. My place is 1000 sq ft, all vinyl plank (so dont know how it does on carpet). I have 2 Australian shepherds that are inside when I'm home but sleep outside, they shed hair and track in dirt. I also track in lots of dirt since I live on rural acreage. Ive remodeled a bathroom, a kitchen and a bedroom and run power tools indoors and I'm not real careful about where sawdust or drywall fall, so that obviously makes a mess. This vacuum has handled all that stuff and still running strong after 2 years. I like how it changes between suction modes automatically since it manages battery life or you can lock it in to whatever power mode you want. Overall the suction is great and the battery life is great, at least for my small place. The detect laser is a game changer and highlights all the dirt/hair/sawdust in your path and I find myself wanting to vacuum in the dark as odd as that sounds. The detect laser actually makes vacuuming weirdly satisfying, kinda like when you power wash something and can just see the grime being washed away if you know what I mean. The vacuum is also really easy to empty, easy to clean, and I actually use the attachments it came with. Only things I dont like about it is how much of a pain it is to clean out string/hair type debris that gets wrapped up and accumulated in the little rollers on the vacuum head, but I think thats most vacuums. Also it should have a lock for the power trigger so you dont have to hold the trigger down the whole time. Otherwise, it's a good vacuum. I was kinda skeptical on the price, but its actually well worth it. Oh I forgot, it's also really easy to maneuver around.

We love this hand held cordless vacuum! It’s so convenient compared to the Dyson animal or cenetic. I bought this for Christmas for my husband and I. It holds A great charge. We can vacuum our 3200sqft home with only tile floors on one full charge. It has great suction as well.

The optics cleaner head is amazing. I can actually see that it is picking everything up, but man is it gross to see all the pet fur on my wood floors. This vacuum is making me rethink dog ownership. The battery has yet to run out on me. It’s a little heavier than my previous Dyson vacuum, but it also is much more powerful and has a larger canister. Only thing I would change is that the optic cleaner head does not rotate like the other vacuum head so I can’t vacuum under my bed with it. Would definitely recommend.

I am absolutely blown away by this Dyson V15 Detect Extra. The suction power is phenomenal, and it makes quick work of cleaning everything from deep carpets to hardwood floors. Replaced a shark cordless vac that was less than a year old and clogged constantly. This one is awesome. Little pricey buy you get what you oay for

This is hands-down the best vacuum you can buy. Say goodbye to those bulky corded models and make the switch to this one. It offers impressive suction power, a long-lasting battery, and is incredibly lightweight. The only minor drawback is that you need to hold the power button while using it, but there's a handy accessory on Amazon that solves this issue. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for a hassle-free cleaning experience

This vacuum is amazing! It’s lightweight, very easy to maneuver, and has great suction power. The battery lasts long enough for a full clean, and it works great on both carpets and hardwood floors. I love how efficient and quiet it is!

Wow this Dyson is amazing. It is powerful and easy for us to use. It is easy to grab hold of to clean instead of getting the corded vacuum out. The battery lasts 60 minutes plenty of time to get all our vacuum needs done

Really great vacuum. I had the older V8 before and it was disappointing. The V15 and its new screen with lots of good info, clear understanding of remaining battery, overall power, total number of attachments etc make this a great product. But the real super feature is the green laser that shows you all the dirt particles, especially on hardwood floors. It works exceptionally in darker light and shows you just how quickly and how much dust/dirt accumulates on floors. It really changes how you vacuum. Nice work.

I can’t believe how well this does on hardwood floors. The light on the hardwood floor attachment shows you every spec of dust and dirt on the floors. I thought my floors were really clean before I started using this. The suction is incredible when using the rug attachment. Love this vacuum but highly recommend buy ing an extra battery and filter as you will vacuum much longer than you intended. Great vacuum!

I have an old house with both hardwood and carpet. We also have a shedding dog as well. The vaccuum's attachments and smart suction makes keeping the house clean a much faster job. The attachment with the green laser is probably my favorite with it making hair and dust much easier to see that I would have missed.
