    I CANT BELIVE THE STARS PEOPLE GIVE THIS JUNK

    I can not believe people rate this thing anything other than 1 star. Ok maybe you could give it 2 because it is light, functional under furniture and can go anywhere without having to worry about a cord, BUT it fails significantly in the fact that you can only vacuum for 6 MIN and then it takes 2-3hours to recharge. Are you kidding me, 6 min for a 2-3 hour charge. We can barely get one room done while running and sweating to make that happen. People love this thing because they are supposed to love it because it gives them status (I don't talk about my new vacuum to impress friends). There is nothing I love more and am will to do than spend a hefty fee on something that is just of outstanding quality. But the fact that this machine fails at its one job, unless all you have to do is 6 min of work, then I beg you please NEVER no matter how much this thing is on sale NEVER buy it. I warned you! (and I hate having to spend my time writing a review but I needed to let you know)

The V6 is great for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs. We recommend only using MAX mode when debris cannot be picked up with standard mode.

    Broken Box

    This was a Mother’s Day gift which happens to be tomorrow. I was very disappointed that the box arrived damaged. But I was angry when I realized it was shipped from Best Buy already damaged. How do I know? Because there is Best Buy printed inspection tape all over the damaged area of the box. Unacceptable! And even more angry when customer service said they could not replace it at this time, my only choice was to return. Ridiculous.

    Many flaws

    At first I was delighted with this product. After about a year, not so much. The canister is very hard to empty, because fibers migrate and mass at the top. Don't believe the pictures that show dirt falling out immediately when you open the door. The door sometimes opens when I am cleaning, possible because the door latch is located right below the switch. And now the switch seems to be failing. Power cuts in and out at random, even while the switch is being squeezed firmly. I may may soon have to toss this thing in the trash.

The canister features a max line indicator. It is important not to allow debris to go over this line as it can cause a build-up along the top. In the event that it does build up, you can easily remove the canister from the cyclone for easier cleaning.

      If you experience a pulsating ON/OFF while in use, an obstruction is present. This is an alert feature built into the vacuum to alert the user of an obstruction or the filter needs to be cleaned.

    Truly Disappointed

    This product, and I'm starting to believe this brand in general is highly overrated. It malfunctions more than it functions. This product is advertised as being good for heavy duty vacuuming. Yet, I have a multiple pet household, and AS SOON AS I do heavy duty cleaning, this vacuum gets a blockage. I tried to register the vacuum online at www.dyson.com using the serial number, and it won't let me. I believe as though I purchased a piece of junk, as it malfunctions most of the time.

    Did not last 4 months with one use/month

    First plastic latches did not work properly. Vacuum was used only 4 times since purchase in March 2018, 5 months ago. NOW, vacuum flashes RED LIGHT.I disassembled per help sites,took it down to battery only & still Red Light Flashing. REDLIGHT still flashes when charging or when depressing the assembled switch. This is not even a year old & rarely used !!!! Dyson online HELP is worthless.

    Buyer Beware

    Having owned Dyson products in the past, we were ready to upgrade our stick vacuum. In our case, the actual product did not live up to the on-line reviews. We are lucky to get 5 minutes of cleaning on a charge, and we are not even using the turbo mode. The attachments are constructed from plastic and are flimsy to use. Dyson seems to be building second rate products at a premium price. No more Dyson products for us!

Rest assured, Dyson machines are made from polycarbonate ABS which is the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. We subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests. All of this to ensure they can withstand a lifetime's hard use.

      As for the runtime, it sounds like you had it in MAX mode which is designed to get 6 minutes of run time with a full charge. Max mode is great for those tougher tasks. Standard mode is recommended for basic level cleaning and will provide you with 20 minutes of run time with a full charge.

    Very Poor Quality Vac.

    This is a pricey vacuum but I thought it would be worth it. What a mistake! The quality is terrible. We have had it less than a year and it has stopped working on Max suction. The lower setting has little suction anyway so it is useless. The dust cup broke early on. Important to note that we only use it once a week to clean the kitchen floor - not tough treatment! This should have lasted MUCH longer. Wouldn't buy a dyson product ever again.

    Do-it-yourself kit with useless instructions

    This arrived in about a dozen parts. It did include a manual with pictures that are meaningless, and text that is about 3 points--far too small for a normal human to read. Since I don't have instructions for setting it up and using it, I am returning it to the store. Sorry, it might work OK, but for the price they could afford to have professionally-done instructions.

    Poor Make

    I had lot of expectations from this product, I have two young ones and the house is always a mess so though of getting a handy vacuuming and this came to my mind, I went for it instead of the hefty price tag. After 6 months of moderate use the stick is broken. I cannot believe that I have wasted $500 for this thing which is the top line model.

    Excessively complicated. Too many blockages

    This machine is over complicated and needs frequent cleaning. We have experienced 3 blockages already. The cup holding the vacuumed dust fills very quickly. The machine has to be practically disassembled for cleaning since dust gets everywhere. A vacuum cleaner should be much easier to use.

    Poor body material

    Material used for its motor body is of very poor quality started chipping off in just one month without any mishandling.Don't pay too much for this poor quality material used for motor body.pics attached.

    After only 2 uses the vacuum would not charge. Wasn't overly pleased with the performance for the two times we did get to use it, especially for the price. Run time is minimum on power boost mode and on normal running mode, just doesn't do a great job.

    Battery is integrated--cannot be taken out and replaced. Have to change rollers for the carpet vs. hardwood floors Dog hair sticks to the hardwood roller-difficult to clean Top Heavy Nice suction Too much money for a throw-away vacuum (only has a 2 year warranty!)

      Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. We greatly appreciate your support. Our V6 Absolute’s Motorhead can be used on both bare floors and carpets. To wash the soft roller head, once removed, simply wash under cold water and leave to dry – no detergents are required. You must remove the brushbar endcap before washing.

      In addition, the battery pack on your vacuum is replaceable that is designed to last the life of the machine. I hope the information provided was helpful.     Battery Lasts 10 Minutes Or Less

    I read the reviews and was under the impression the battery would last at least 20 minutes, but it only last 10 minutes or less if used on max power. If you use it on normal power it barely has any suction, and won't even pick up dust.

    Purchased in Dec 2017 and used fewer than 10 times for touch ups. Now it won't start and has a blinking red light indicating a fault. I will never buy any Dyson product again.

    For the amount of money spent on this you would think the battery life woukd last alot longer. I have a big home and 3 minutes to vacuum is not something I can deal with
