Horrible suction and charge

I decided to buy this so I wouldn't have to kept moving my bigger vacuum around. This is NOTHING compared to a regular dyson. The suction is a joke and it ran for less than 5 minutes on a full charge. I returned this the next day. Definitely would not recommend.

Posted .Thank you for your review on the V6 Top Dog. The V6 is a great cordless for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs.

Great, with drawbacks

It gets clogged with packing peanuts, paper, small plastic bags, and general dirt and has to be unclogged often. I tie a thick wire around a handle and use that or a slim pen from my pocket. It can get clogged in several places. Also it would be better if it worked wired too. It's wireless which is convenient but requires charging fairly often and won't work while being charged. It has good attachments and strong power and a reasonable capacity for a hand held but could have been better designed in regard to the clogging and charging issues.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Failed Dyson product. Battery has a flaw whereby the machine will run for 10 seconds and quit. A technique to get jt running again is to plug it in until the blue light stops flashing and stays on, then unplug it and get to work. That no longer resolves the issue. Too bad. This product worked for about 6-8 months before it began having issues. Mr. Dyson needs to "set about" a little harder in development next time.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own several Dyson vacuum cleaners - floor models and hand held units (all purchased from Best Buy) and all of the ones with the lavender top loading cartridge filter are just simply crap, as these filters continuously become clogged; thus, the machine will only run-stop-run-stop. Though these hand-helds are very handy and great to use for touch-ups, they do not do well for pet owners...even for those with small terriers which do not shed heavily. BTW, fully charged run time was never an issue for me. Dyson customer service has even supplied me with additional filters, but they too easily and continuously clog. Washing/drying them (as instructed) will allow the unit to only run for a few minutes and then once again it's run-stop-run-stop...bah! My older Dyson hand-helds (non-top mounted cartridge filter type) always works without issue. I will never again purchase a Dyson V6 or V8 hand-held vacuum...which I always eventually pass-on to those family members without pets...cheers.

The Dyson V6 includes a pre filter that should only need to be rinsed under cold water once a month. It is meant to capture very small particles and therefore, shouldn't be clogging so easily.
