EDF is all about the action. Its basically one big action movie. Tons of replay value and cheaper than most new releases. If you are a fan or action games or Starship Troopers then pick this up!

I was a fan of the 360 game played with College roomates and hadn't played any of the others since. Saw this was pretty cheap on release and grabbed it to give it a try. With the new class types and weapon variety it makes for a lot more customizable loadout and plenty to keep you busy. Online play is fun, but it is hard to find a group most of the time and then even harder to find a good one. You are better off getting a group of friends together than trying to get random parties. Overall it is really just a massive time sink, but a fun one at that and for the reasonable price and vita portability it is a good way to pass some free time.

Graphics not as good as the other EDF games, but the enemy diversity more than makes up for it. If you've never played any of them, this is a great place to start. Also recommended: EDF 2017 Portable on Vita and EDF 4.1 on PS4.

Even if you don't know what EDF is, I would recommend this game. Very fun, very addictive.

I love this game and its great on the handheld. Its a must for any Vita library.

This game is pure mayhem, but in a good way. The enemies are inspired by all the B alien movies put you right in the action. The game keeps throwing everything at you and includes so much satisfying destruction. It's a perfect game for the vita.

Great 3rd Person action game. One of the better titles on Vita especially in terms of fun. Graphics & Sound are above average. If you enjoy 3rd person action / shooting games, you will enjoy this.

Let me preface this by saying that I dig the EDF games. The first time a friend of mine mentioned that they're actually a lot of fun, I didn't believe him. Anyway you shoot bugs and then you shoot more bugs.

While not the deepest game, its a great addition to any vita collection if you can get it at a good price.

Do you enjoy shooting lots and lots of bugs and robots? If so, this game is for you. Massive environments that dwarf the character, with tons and tons of enemies to shoot with a ton of different weaponry. It's simplistic, it's repetitive, but it's oh so fun.

Finally, North American EDF fans get a taste of "Global Defense Force" or "EDF 2". Releasing originally in 2005 for the PS2, this is an upgraded port for the Vita. This is the first time this game has been available to North America. It's regarded as the highlight of the series and I can't disagree.
