I installed this light switch in my kitchen and the only thing is the sensor couldn’t tell when I was standing over by the stove. When it’s set to turn off lights after no one is in the room for a certain amount of time it would be annoying to have the lights turn off on the middle of cooking a meal.

Ecobee smart switch came free with my ecobee smart thermostat. It’s pretty good

I received this switch free with the purchase of a ecobee thermostat. It was VERY easy to install on a single-pole circuit as the hot and leg leads were interchangeable. It functions well in person and remotely, but the ecobee software needs some serious improvement to allow remote, time-of-day programming.

Works pretty well and it’s convenient for certain things! Easy to install!

It has many features like Alexa, smart on and off, giving you a smart lighting experience without scheduling.

I actually received two of these free with other ecobee purchases. Unfortunately they only work in a room that has one light switch. The locations I would have use them have two switches at different ends of the room so they will not work. With that being the case, they are sitting in the box.

Not only does this work perfectly, it also adds Alexa to rooms for convenience. The switch can be controlled remotely via ecobee app which adds more automation to a home setup.

second one was better. returned the first cause it was making a high pitch noise. Exchanged for a new one has work a lot better. For what it is turned out to be a great product but it has some limitations at the moment. Doesnt have full Alexa support at the moment. The occupancy sensor is very sensitive. can pick up movement across the house.

One of the best switch that I purchased. I installed more than ten of these switches in my home. Very convenient and worthy. The only issue that I Alexa function occasionally freezes and I need to restart the device to continue using it. I contacted Ecobee but they hadn't have any resolution.

Installation is easy with clear DIY instructions. Looks cool once installed. A great conversation piece. It will not play nice with Spotify, it will not work with Alexa drop in intercom feature, microphones not as good as any Echo products. In my opinion, for the same price you can find a Echo dot (on sale) and a lutron caseta dimmer.

I love being able to turn on the fan in my kids bathroom. I also like not having to yell at them to turn off the fan and lights.

The ecobee smart light switch is hands down the best switch out there. Can hear music, news pretty much anything. Will be buying more that’s for sure.

The ecobee Switch+ Smart Light Switch adds an interesting touch to most any room. I installed the switch in a bathroom because it was one of the few places I had a single switch that was only controlling a light. The installation was fairly easy but it did require a four wire connection. My home was built in 2004 so I had the wiring needed. The wall switch was quite crowded with wires and the ecobee itself also takes much more of the outlet box then a simple on and off switch. But I was able to stuff the wires far enough that I did get the switch to install and fit correctly. I did turn off the power to that outlet from the main breaker and I would recommended anyone doing there own install to do the same. You will need to install the phone app for your Android or IOS device to setup the smart light features. The app has quite a bit of help videos so you might want to check them if you have an older home for help if needed. Once registered I was able to connect to my WiFi network. The whole process might have taken about half an hour. By default the switch can manually turn lights on and off, has a motion sensor to turn on the lights on when it detects motion and also has a night light. Once you setup the device on your Amazon account you have voice activation and full Alexa support. It also supports Google Assistant, Siri via its HomeKit support, SmartThings and IFTTT. Pretty much the current leaders in the voice assistant hardware market. A few days after the install the app was updated which is a good sign and should be expected for a switch in this price range. So far it has been working very well and I have had no issues or problems with its operations. The speaker is clear and the Alexa voice sounds very good. The music playback was better than I expected and it is nice to listen to the top new stories or weather getting ready for work. If your adding to your smart home devices this is clearly a nice addition. Since you already have a light switch your not giving up counter space or have a wall plug to work with. It would be easy to take for granted the power that is behind this switch but that power and utility is growing all the time. If you want to add to your smart home network this is a winner and should be a standard fixture in new home builds. And I expect it will become the normal. When that day comes it will be strange to think we ever had dumb switches.

Worth every penny! This thing rocks! Great microphone sensitivity and awesome functionality for the average person and smart home enthusiasts.

Great switch for a bathroom and the added speaker is nice for casual listening

Easy setup and love that it can turn on/off the lights, play music, weather and news etc.

These are great, don’t forget you need to have the natural wire!
