Gave this as a gift. Friends say they like it alot. Sometimes the switch doesn’t hear that well from across the room but might just take getting used to its range.

the speaker is not loud but the motion sensor works well. I won't buy it again because I don't think is worth the money

Firmware updates seem to have fixed most issues others have reported in the past. So far so good. We've had positive experiences with Ecobee thermostats for the last couple years, hopefully we'll feel the same about the Switch+

I wish they would have included the temperature and humidity sensors like we were originally promised. Otherwise great!

I want to start off with the fact that the product works as expected but it can be limited on where you can install it. Before you purchase this product think about where you want to install it. Things to consider: the existing switch should be relatively new (old wiring will probably not work or require electrical prep work first), it does not work with 3-way switches only 2-way, it is a single switch so if you have a 2, 3, or more switch plate you will need to modify it to use this single switch. So I had difficulty with the install the first time I tried this and had to chose another switch to use. You will need a load and lead line as well as a neutral and ground for this to work. Most new wiring (80's and on) should be okay, but older switches that ran the load line straight the light won't work. Also the switch is rather large compared to a standard switch so if you don't have a lot of space in the wall switch box it may not fit (about 2" deep and no space on the side) The second time around worked better and smooth as described in the directions. Wire-tie all the correct wires inside the box to the switch as explained in the book. It took me about 30 minutes (turn off your power first) Once installed it will take a few minutes to start working, and you will need to install the app on a mobile device to set up the auto and voice control features. I had hoped to install in my bathroom to use for the auto-on/off light as well as play music through Alexa, however I remembered that you need to have an additional subscription to play music on multiple devices. The other Alexa functions work so far-News, weather, info. It took a long time for the motion sensor light features to work, so that setup may take longer for you. I did not install the daylight/night time auto sensor for outdoors (since mine is installed inside) This product would have probably received a 4 star rating had it not been for the limited options of where to install it.

Nice light switch however there is no dimmer which is disappointing.

Love this switch. It not only connects to my Ecobee thermostat but to my apple home and tells me the Temperature in that room

Very cool! I love Alexa and this is a high tech clapper! Also can play music through it.

IT's okay. Had difficulty with initial setup. Don't see the point of Alexa in a switch.

This actually came bundled for free with a Smart Thermostat. It must be wired to a single pole switch. The convenience of built in Alexa is great, but they could improve the speaker’s voice recognition. It is not as responsive as, say, a dot.

I like how it auto turns on when I enter the garage and turns off when I exit. It helps when I am carrying items. Also, the ability to play music and change it while I am working.

If you need an extra Alexa this switch will provide it. As a motion switch however it falls short of other switches. The light sensitivity for motion sensing can't be adjusted so it activates during the day during low light conditions. In addition, the minimum on time is a full minute. Other switches without Alexa are more useful with shorter on time and adjustable sensitivity.

going to put on pool filter line so have to wait till weather breaks to install

This ecobee Smart Switch works as advertised. It is easy to install and easy to setup with Alexa. Also, once you download the app, it is farily easy to setup the bells and whistles like turning on the motion sensing capabilities and the night light function. The night light is cool because it only turns on when it is dark in the room. Also, it is amazing that Alexa and a speaker are built into this tiny switch. Overall, Alexa works well but because it is mounted in a wall, there is a little bit of directionality to it. In other words, when talking to Alexa from an angle, it does not respond 100%, sometimes it takes a few tries. Overall, there are many cool functions to this smart switch. I would like to point out a few things to consider before buying. Originally, I had big plans for where I would put this switch - in one of the heavily trafficked areas of the house. However, the switch does not work with 2 way light switches, which ruled out almost all those areas. More disappointingly, the light switch does not have a dimmer function. I was shocked that a smart switch was not smart enough to dim the lights. Because most of my house has dimmer switches, it ruled out all of those switches too. Also, we already have Echoes in the 2 main parts of our house, so it didn't make sense to put another one right next to the others. After all this consideration, the only places left to install were the bedrooms and the bathrooms. I chose to install in a bathroom. That way the night light and auto on will work and you can ask Alexa the weather or news before you start brushing your teeth. Overall, this is a solid product but I would really hope they add the dimmer functionality soon.

I have 10 of these and works with homekit really well if you are apple user and works the same with alexa!

I bought the eco thermostat 4 and a couple of these switches to go with it thinking on the promise from ecobee the sensors would work by end of 2018 which was not the case, and still Apr 2019 and the sensors functionality has not been deployed, the switch itself lose its wireless connection and then you need to restart it for the whole thing to work again, very annoying problem to have, I am a computer systems Engineer and specializes in networking and none of my other devices have the problem of loosing wireless connection

Never lost the connectivity, if your wifi turn off it will reconnect automatically and will continue working as expected.

I love the motion sensors on these. And having Alexa in every room. Disappointed that ecobee hasn’t implemented the temp sensors.

Gave this to my dad for Christmas and he loves it.
