Good when it works. Likes to disconnect a lot. Only reason I own one because I got it free with the purchase of the Smart Thermostat. You're better off with an Echo in the room you want this in and a smart switch like Caseta.

First, the Switch+ is a great product. You can control a light and get Alexa to boot. Installation was easy, but I do have some electrical experience. The app has great directions, so just about anybody should be able to install it. Sound, specifically volume, is pretty impressive for such a small speaker. Alexa, as always, works well. There are, however, a couple of things that need to get better. For example, as of today, the Switch+ cannot be used in conjuction with the Ecobee thermostat. I understand this will change sometime over the summer. The only other real gripe I have is that the shortest time that can be set to automatically turn off a light when no motion is detected is 15 minutes. I would like to see an option to decrease that to maybe 5 minutes. It seems like this would be an easy enhancement, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Lastly, I feel it is a little pricey, especially if you plan to install one in other rooms. The Switch+ is a good product. If you need/would like to be able to turn on/off lights remotely or from another room in the house, and would like to take advantage of Alexa's capabilities without putting something else on the counter or table, this is a great option and I'm sure it will get even better.

I got this for the sensors build into it and the whole integrations with their Thermostats but they have not yet release the update to make them work, and there is no dimmer nor a possibility from the developer to add it since the hardware do not permit to do so

I got a few of these on sale. They work well enough for what I paid. But too often the built in Alexa will fail to respond properly.

So even though I was supposed to be a beta tester for this I never got the free one and I gladly ball and spent the money to get the ecobee switch can I tell you I have any go before and before that in ecobee3 I am so disappointed this which does nothing that a normal zig bee say with an Alexa sitting next to it would do and I’m top of everything out it has caused my thermostat my ecobee four to go haywire the sensors to go haywire and for me to wake up cold every morning I am really beyond disappointed and two stars is being generous save your money or for god sake‘s pray for a software update

I had the great opportunity to beta test the ecobee Switch+ from the beginning. Of course with any beta product there were some ups and downs, but from the get-go I found that the Switch+ was an extremely solid product. My initial impressions of having Alexa voice services built into a wall switch were, "Meh...". I honesty didn't get it and didn't know why I needed Alexa in my wall. We have a very connected home with several Alexa enabled smart lights and plugs all over as well as Echo products in many of the rooms. I placed my first Switch+ in the dead center of the home to cover the gap between the two rooms with the Echos. The far-field microphones work very well and it also has Alexa ESP enabled in it so the Echo and the Switch+ don't go off at the same time. Below is a little list of my pros and cons after using this little guy for the last 5 months and why I bought another one. Pros: It's small, compact, and very discrete on my wall! I honestly don't even notice it up there. It's very smart! There is a temperature sensor, light sensor, and motion sensor built-in. It's Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home compatible. The speaker in it is surprisingly good and loud. It's not amazing by any means, but it sounds great considering what it is. Alexa works really well and a lot of her skills work on it, including Pandora. It's easy to install. I'm pretty savvy when it comes to electoral stuff, so the install of this took me about 15 minutes and another 5 minutes to do the in-app setup. The Smart On/Off feature is perfect for certain rooms! I have a Switch+ in my closet and it's awesome to be able to walk into the closet, the light turns on, and then I just walk out and the light goes off. Even though I love that feature in the close, there's a con about it too, see below. Cons: Alexa does get activated pretty frequently when not being summoned, but she never responds. I hear the sound that she's been woken up, and then the light just goes off. Currently, it does not link with the ecobee thermostats as a room sensor, but I'm hopefully that's a future addition. The nightlight is a really cool feature and looks nice, but it stays on even when the room is pretty bright, so I turned that feature off. The smart On/Off feature is a GREAT feature...as long as it's not in a room with a lot of activity. I have it in my living room and the light turns on easily anytime you walk into the room, but if you're sitting watching TV it thinks the room is unoccupied and the light will just shut off. So it didn't work for my living room, but still a great feature if you have the right room for it. In the end, it's just a smart switch. If you don't need Alexa or the sensors, then you can save a lot of money and go with a $30 smart switch. If you are already invested in the ecobee ecosystem, then it's worth looking into as an option for your home. All in all, I'm really happy with the Switch+! I purchased another one because I now understand why whole home voice is useful and something I want in my home. I can be almost anywhere in the house and casually ask Alexa anything and she responds most of the time. I can even be walking from room to room, give a command, and BOOM! Alexa delivers. They are a little more expensive than I originally hoped it would be, but when you combine a smart switch, an Alexa, and an ecobee room season, it becomes clear why it's priced the way it is. I'm a big fan of the ecobee product line. I love my ecobee thermostats and have become a big fan of the Switch+.

These things keep losing connection to the wifi. When I called ecobee customer support they were not very helpful. They offered to send out a replacement switch but I had to pay an electrician to put the switch in. So then I'd have to pay the electrician again to switch out the switch for a maybe this one will work? No thank you. It's like make the dang product work. Would not recommend this switch.

Was excited to try out this new device. It was super easy to install. I am a novice and was able to successfully install it following the video instructions in the app in about 30 minutes. Buy needs to be aware that this switch will NOT work on a switch where the light is controlled by more than one light switch (such as in the living room.) I originally intended to put this in my living room or kitchen but was not able to because of this restriction. I hope that ecobee is working on a fix for this. I had trouble setting the device up after install with HomeKit. I left the app set up in the HomeKit app itself and it is now working like a dream. The device connects automatically (when you give it permission) to your Amazon account which is very cool. So far this light is a great device and I highly recommend it. Also found that it is not compatible with multiple or row light switches because of the size of the box itself. One other limitation is that it can not dim the lights only turn them off and on.

The idea is everything one could want in a echo device but the execution is lacking some key features like Bluetooth near field proximity.
