Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best WiFi I have ever had. I’ve never had to reboot these. This system has been the fastest and most reliable I have ever owned. The options and ease of use are incredible. The area of coverage is astounding. They are easy to hide and don’t light up too bright to bother anyone in the dark. The ability to label each device connected to it and to make categories of people for each of their devices is awesome. I’d say the price is worth it. If you want great coverage, never have to reboot the router, and amazing speeds then this is the system for you.

vastly improved my Wi-Fi range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a better router since I have 3300 L shaped house. frequently the far reaches do receive good wi-fi. Extenders only worked sometime. I swiitched to Eero mesh system and speeds went up at least 4 times what I was getting with my old system. Easy to set as well, their app was easy to use for setup.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I setup all three nodes in 12 minutes. The ease of use and speed is amazing. With all the new work from home, school from home, etc my setup was not cutting it. Zoom would lag, Netflix would buffer, etc. With this setup I easily get 2-3x the speed and coverage. I can take a zoom call in the middle of my backyard now of I want to! The price is worth it in my opinion if you want a seamless WiFi experience throughout your entire house. I have a 2,800 square foot ranch walkout and have 0 dead spots. I can even get a decent signal across the street in my neighbors yard.

Excellent for creating a network
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Through the years I have relied on Apple products for my wireless networking throughout our 3-story townhome. I am forced to update as we have moved but I wanted a simple, clean user interface and required a strong signal in our larger home. My better half constantly reminded me how our previous network was not adequate. Unpacking - simple and clean. Download and install the app. on your smart phone before you start doing anything as it walks you through the install (and does an incredibly simple and great job of it). Install and setup of the main hub took me all of about 5 minutes! As I was replacing an existing wireless setup once I had the system up and running all my devices connected automatically after entering the password. Setting up the Beacons took about 10 minutes, with most the time taken in selecting location so I would have a good mesh of the signal. Again, the App. walks you through every step, and lets you know if you have selected a good spot or if you might want to move a beacon to a different location for a better mesh. The App. is a thing of beauty, with all the information you need right at your fingertips. The stuff you usually want to customize (like the names of the Beacons) are customizable. Once I had all the Beacons set up I went through the house trying to find a weak spot or dead spot. Couldn't find one - not one! Also, a note about Apple products. I have read the other reviews that say the eero doesn’t work well with Apple products. I don’t know why they are having problems. My system has been up and running for about a month now with zero problems. And it stays connect rock solid to all manner of devices (about 16 I believe) including iPads, iPhones, an iMac, a MacBook Pro, a Smart Thermostat, a couple Apple TV’s, a Ring Smart Doorbell and three Ring cameras. Oh, and two of them do double duty as night lights. And the system has updated itself twice that I know of (I would only know as it would tell me after the fact).

Wired Performance In A Wireless System
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 3-station kit first. It's fantastic. I added this for additional stability for my stay-at-home WiFi working system. It's been perfect and integrated well into the 3-station system. It costs a little more, but has been well worth it.

Excellent coverage/range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research, I was looking to replace my Night Hawk router due to the large amount of wireless connections and ethernet dedicated lines. Night Hawk was good, but bandwidth was becoming tight especially once the gaming systems were all online at one time. Even by dedicating multiple ethernet lines the wi-fi signal was becoming more and more taxed. I was shopping for guaranteed coverage throughout my house and strong wi-fi speeds to support my AT&T 1 Gig speed. Reading many articles, I was at first going to go with a newer Night Hawk router, but after reading many reviews of the eero, I liked that it was allowing for coverage movement ( as I moved through the house with my laptop or cell phone the system would change to the strongest signal of the three wifi units). I've not been disappointed with the range and bandwidth provisions. At any given time I will have 25 to 35 different items on the network and the eero provides more than enough bandwidth and speed to each device. Still amazed at how the ethernet ports work wirelessly to provide me with amazing speeds if I choose to hardwire (eero router in the dining room : wifi 300Mbps, but run a ethernet chord from the router to my laptop and I'm at 600 to 700 Mbps...how does that work...LOL). Not disappointed in this choice, I've always been a netgear/cisco person, but this has made me a huge eero fan.

Very Happy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is almost perfect. The bandwidth you get works for all of our devices. PS4, Laptops, Firesticks and cell phones. I would not recommend any other brand over the EERO brand. They got this down. That app for the router is so easy to use and set up. Setting up the kids devices is the greatest benefit of all. I can pause all of their devices during the school week for bedtime and then at anytime I can pause the WiFi when they are getting outta hand and on your last nerve. They kids really love this feature that you have total WiFi control. It’s a parent’s dream to have this in the palm of your hand. Mom calls while I’m at work and says they are at it again. All I got to do is push that pause bottom and Mom gets instant and perfect peace back in the house. Thank you so very much EERO for producing such a wonderful router.

Amazing WiFi in my Business !
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use these all around my business for our WiFi . I’ll say, the set up is super easy, they work great! The mesh system is seamless and connects with each other super easy, fast, and strong! Using this around both my business easily saved me an extra service line from my internet provider! Got 9 of these meshing all around our block! Literally plug the main one into my router, from there, use the phone to set them each up, you either connect them by Ethernet to each other, or wirelessly with each other! So easy!

Look no further, this is what you need
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t try all the new mesh tech routers available, but I have tried Velop, Orbi and now eero, and believe me when I say that this last one without a doubt is the fastest, easiest, most trouble less, mesh I have try so far. The setup is literally plug and play, and rutine use is simple, fresh and to the point without ornaments. I really like the speed per device feature, and the scan, ad block, threat (eero secure) trial it has, and I already renew it for an extra year, didnt go the eero secure+ in my opinion is Pricy.

Eero Rocks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eero mesh routers are the best! I bought this one which can be used as a stand alone, to add to my four other Eero mesh system. The four I had did an excellent job of covering the 6300sq feet of our house with full bar high speed wifi. I wanted to add the same high speed Wifi to our outdoor recreational area. Folks at Best Buy said it would not work and that the unit was not outdoor rated (even though I explained multiple times that it would be installed in a pool house). Needless to say I installed and now our almost one acre of pool, grotto, basketball court, cooking area, fire pit, tennis court, batting cage, hang out areas all have super high speed internet!!! The are a little pricey, but I waited until they were on sale for half price. Got to jump quick because those sales only seem to last a couple of days.

Great coverage!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this after reading multiple reviews and couldn't be happier. I was a Netgear guy but my most recent Netgear wifi router was garbage. Decent coverage but continuous drops which became frustrating. So I purchased this in hopes of improving connectivity and this doesn't disappoint. Great coverage and a stable connection. Easy and quick setup. I can't configure it as much as previous wifi routers but that's a small tradeoff for the improved and consistent performance! Would definitely recommend.

My experience (Eero Pro and Netgear Orbi)…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been specifically looking at both the Netgear Orbi AC300 and the Eero Pro mesh systems for the last few months. They consistently receive some of the best reviews for use in larger homes in real world use. I currently have Internet Blast service (200/10 Mbps) through Comcast (Xfinity). I am running my service through an Arris SB6190 Modem (that I own). The modem was previously hooked up to a Netgear Nighthawk AC1750 router (Model R6400). It was a great router that worked great in our 1400 square foot home a few years ago. We moved into a 3,400+ square foot home with two floors and a full basement on a third of an acre about three years ago. We have five bedrooms with four on the second floor and the fifth on the first floor which we use as our office. Our Comcast service comes into our home at this location. It is in the northwest corner of our home. The shape of our home is rectangular with an attached garage located on the southeast corner of our home (opposite corner of our office). I have been a lifelong Netgear fan exclusively using several of their routers as Wi-Fi has developed over the years. Unfortunately, with the use of over 20 devices (iPhones, iPads, TV, wireless video cameras, etc..), the Nighthawk wasn’t cutting it anymore. Reception outside in the front of our home, garage and upstairs master bedroom were poor to nonexistent. We were getting 0-5 Mbps in our master bedroom (sits above the garage) and only 20-40 Mbps outside to our video cameras (furthest west of our router). It was time for an upgrade, plus Comcast had recently upgraded their Blast service from 150/10 Mbps to 200/10 Mbps. Before shopping for a new router, like you, I scanned hundreds of review websites trying to narrow down my search. Based on my personal research I narrowed down my choices to either the Netgear Orbi AC3000 or the Eero Pro Wi-Fi mesh systems. I also ran comprehensive speed tests using Ookla ( a third party speed test website). I didn’t want to use Comcast’s or the router’s software thinking it may be skewed. Without boring everyone with my total comprehensive list I will summarize the areas that were doing poorly, namely master bedroom, sunroom, front of my home and garage. It should be noted that I tested each area several times at various times of the day (morning, noon and night). The devices used were an iPhone Xr and a newer HP Surface Pro Laptop computer. In my initial speed tests with the Netgear AC1750 router I was getting the following averaged results: Office directly wired to the HP Computer: (147/11.9 Mbps), Office using Wi-Fi: (90.9/11.7 Mbps), Master Bedroom Wi-Fi: (4.3/1.6 Mbps), Sunroom Wi-Fi: (14.8/11.9 Mbps), Front of home Wi-Fi: (12.9/3.6 Mbps), and center of Garage Wi-Fi (9.0/6.6 Mbps). To note I wasn’t getting any Wi-Fi at the furthest points of my property line. I was recently fortunate to purchase both the Eero Pro 3 pack from Best Buy on sale (100 dollars off) and the Netgear Orbi AC3000 3-pack from Costco on sale (80 dollars off). Overall, the Eero was a little more expensive even with the sale. I set-up both systems separately and gave each 3 days to adapt to my home and ran the same tests in the same locations at various times of the day. The main router went in the office wired to the modem, one satellite in the family room (located between my garage and sunroom), and the third satellite in my son’s bedroom on the second floor in the center of the home. The results were as follow: Netgear ORBI RBK53S-100NAS (AC3000 3-pack): (Set-up time about 45 minutes as I had a couple of hiccups after the firmware updated). Office directly wired to the HP Computer: (197.0/12.0 Mbps), Office using Wi-Fi: (125.0/12.0 Mbps), Master Bedroom Wi-Fi: (126.0/11.9 Mbps), Sunroom Wi-Fi: (119.0/11.9 Mbps), Front of home Wi-Fi: (44.6/11.5 Mbps), and center of Garage Wi-Fi (76.5/12.0 Mbps). Furthest points of my property line Wi-Fi: 38.4/11.5 Mbps). I had an issue on two occasions while using the Orbi over three days where my Wi-Fi signal disconnected for no apparent reason. I had to turn the Wi-Fi off and then back on for my iPad and then it reconnected. I also had disconnecting issues with my Samsung television Q65, which I purchased last year. I thought that was odd. Also, although my Wi-Fi speeds and range increased significantly, I thought they would be better, considering the Orbi 3-pack is said to cover 7,500 square feet. I took a detailed look into the Orbi App to see how and where my devices were connecting. This showed that my devices were not connecting to the closest Orbi hub and seemed to always want to connect to the main router/hub in the office. I tried numerous times turning the Wi-Fi off and on in my device settings, but the device would always re-connect to the office even if I was a few feet from one of the satellites. Then, when I would go upstairs close to the bedroom satellite, the devices would want to connect to the family room. It didn’t make any sense. I thought that maybe the three Orbi’s were too much and causing interference, so I disconnected the one in the family room, but was still having issues with my devices not connecting to the closest Orbi. I was very disappointed with that fact. The Orbi did do a good job of deciding when and when not to use the 5 GHz versus the 2.4 GHz radio bands. Eero Pro (AC2200 3-pack): ): Set-up time about 20 minutes, which included the firmware update. Office directly wired to the HP Computer: (239.0/11.9 Mbps), Office using Wi-Fi: (238.0/11.8 Mbps), Master Bedroom Wi-Fi: (225.0/11.9 Mbps), Sunroom Wi-Fi: (229.0/11.7 Mbps), Front of home Wi-Fi: (76.1/12.0 Mbps), and center of Garage Wi-Fi (125.0/11.9 Mbps). Furthest points of my property line Wi-Fi: 46.7/11.7 Mbps). In checking my connected devices using the Eero App I found that the Eero system was doing a great job of detecting the closest router/satellite and connecting to it. When moving from location to location throughout my home and outside I found that my devices would accurately and efficiently connect to the closest router/satellite within a few seconds of realizing there was a better signal; and like the Orbi, I found that the Eero Pro did a good job deciding of when and when not to use the 5 Ghz versus the 2.4 Ghz radio bands. A couple of things to note, I found that each of the Eero Pros felt very warm to the touch whereas the Orbi units felt cool over prolonged use. I was initially concerned, but after researching a little online I found that the Eero is using a heat sink mounted to the top of each hub to draw heat away and keeping the processor cool versus the Orbi which has vents in its large plastic housing. Also, the Orbi units are very large and stuck out like sore thumbs in my family room and son’s bedroom. I could care less about the office because I had a huge router there before and it is on the corner of our desk out of the way. Some people do not care about the aesthetics, but I wanted to be clear that the Orbi’s are huge. The Eeros are smaller and for me they were easier to blend into our living areas. In summary and based on my personal testing and results, I am returning the Netgear Orbi and keeping the Eero Pro as I experienced it being more consistent and doing a better job of connecting to the closest Eero hub. This would most likely account for why I was getting better speeds and distance with the Eero Pro system. I also liked the functionality of the Eero App a little better as compared to the Orbi App. I did not use the Orbi's web interface, so I cannot comment on it.

Newest Eero convert
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used Orbi routers for years as most online reviews stated they were the fastest (I have gig speed cable internet) and most reliable. My orbi went on the fritz so I decided to try out Eero Pro. I wish I would’ve switched sooner! My speeds are nearly double and the coverage is great in my two story home. The setup was a breeze and took just minutes. So easy to setup and the app interface is very user friendly. I highly recommend this system to anyone. It made a believer out of me. I am an Eero customer for life!

Simple, Fast, but didn't fit my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to increase coverage in my home. At $500 bucks it seemed a bit pricey, but I thought why not? I was previously using an Asus 3100. It was very easy to set up, provided decent coverage, not great, and fast speeds (pegging Speedtest at 250 mbps on the bottom level of my home. Speeds dropped to 130 on the second level. Pretty good. Here's why I took it back. Moving the three units around trying to improve signals and coverage was a pain. No matter where I placed them I couldn't get above 30 mps in the Master Bedroom, a room I had no problems with using the Asus. The management app was made for novices who don't want to mess with settings. There's not many options. There's also no support for iPV6 (a deal breaker in today's world) and you have to purchase a professional plan to tweak family restrictions, etc... I mess with settings to open ports, configure stuff, and couldn't. I have a teenager and couldn't put on restrictions the way I could with the Asus unless I paid another 100 a year. And each unit only has 2 wired ports (I have a Netgear Arlo base, WD My Clouds, and a few other things to connect). And one big thing. I have 6 smart tvs, 4 computers, 3 cell phones and 5 Arlo cameras. I was told this could handle all the devices I could throw at it. That was not my experience. I experienced freezes which disappeared when I hooked my old router back up. In the end I took it back and bought an Asus GT-5300. It fits my needs better. Would I recommend it? Yes if you don't mind the $$$, don't need custom configurations, and have good luck out of the box.

Just works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally bought the Orbi Ac3000 and after a month the satellite would provide over 120 mega 25 foot from router. Returned for a replacement Orbi and out of the box offered the same speed on the satellite. Both units have me 205 megs at the main router which is my speed from my ISP. I returned once again for the eero pro system and bam 205 megs at main router and satellite. I've seen reviews where the erro has awesome coverage but slow speeds. I've had nothing but great results so far. Don't hesitate on this system just buy it if your ISP speeds are 400 megs or less. I can't comment on this system for people lucky enough to have gig service. Most of us have 200 to 300 meg service and the eero pro system provides that with no issues. Been streaming multiple tvs all day Netflix, HBO NOW, and Disney NO lag or buffering. The Orbi AC 3000 had buffering issues off and on. Don't waste your money on Netgear products, they always fail 6 months to a year. The eero pro is hands down the best wifi I've ever had. You just wait for a sale of 399 or less and it's a great buy.
