Using these in a 5.1 setting as fronts . I have a Klipsch center with 6 1/2 in driver's ..same size as the Elacs..my rears Klipsch with 6 1/2 in driver's as well..these Elacs made a huge difference. The one thing I appreciate the most is the crisp highs. The tweeters are amazing.

Got these to replace two larger Advent speakers which were pushing 20 years old. One of the cones in one of the older speakers literally crumbled. At first I was a little concerned because they were smaller than the Advents and I feared they wouldn't sound as good at loud volume. But they are fine and sound every bit as good and big as the older Advents.

I’m amazed at the clarity and precision of these Elac 2.0 6.5 speakers. Yes, you may need some added base for the full concert sound but the mid range and treble are amazing. Buy them for well recorded classical experience.

I did a fair amount of research before making this purchase. There are several helpful reviews out there such as one by CNET. These were made by famous engineer Andrew Jones and have an excellent sound. I definitely recommend this product.

I purchased these speakers on a recommendation from someone who had the 5.5" with the rear port. I have these hooked to a Yamaha R-N303 receiver. They sound excellent for the size playing a from a variety of inputs, turntable, cd and streaming. I also use them as the main speakers for my tv. I am very impressed.

The ELAC Debut 2.0 speakers are the best for this price range and can hang with bookshelf speakers that cost a few hundred dollars more. I recently bought a second pair for another room since I've been very happy with the first pair I purchased a year ago.

Please read carefully, these are $300.00 speakers at best (I paid 150.00) the only way I would recommend these if you had no speakers, super super old bookshelf's or really bad cheap newer ones.First off they need GOOD POWER to get them to start to sound like all the hype and you are not going to get that with an AVR home theater reciever, you will need an external power amp or a VERY good integrated amp.I only got these because I run them through a power amp and paid a buck fifty for them and wanted to hear the hype for myself, and my conclusion is , see my opening statement.

What an excellent set of speakers at this price range. I couldn’t beat the sound for the price ratio. I’ve had B&W, Energy, Boston Acoustic, JBL, Bose and these line up very close if not even better due to it’s price tag. I’m very pleased and have been impressed for several weeks of what is emitted from these speakers. Simply amazing!

If you you appreciate high quality audio reproduction you cannot do better at this price point than these speakers. Clear accurate sound for everything except the extreme low end. Unless you are into organ music or a very high end home theater system, these speakers are all you need.

Bought to replace a pair of B&W 602S2's that had broken tweeters and half dead drivers. These aren't as bassy which is expect given the smaller cabinet but they sound great when driven hard. I use an old TEAC Reference 500 amp, so 50W/channel. A bargain at this price.

I bought these speakers after listening them at BestBuy. I liked the sound there but when I connected them to my little SMSL AD18 amplifier at home I was amazed for the details that now I am able to hear in my living room. Thank you Andrew Jones for creating these speakers that we can afford!

Very nice speakers for the price but I am going to be upgrading to get a little more warmth from a bookshelf speaker with a bigger mid driver - probably the $900/pair B&W's or the MartinLogan 35XTi (about $1000/pair). I auditioned the ML's and B&W's at my local Magnolia store and they sound cleaner and deliver a better midrange but they are 2.5x the price. If you're budget allows test them out too and compare with the ELACs

Even for a much higher price I would have been highly satisfied! I needed a pair of bookshelf speakers for an odd shaped home office. I listened to several of the B&W speakers in the Magnolia Room but I ended up taking these home for a mere $209 instead of $600+. I was concerned that I would be disappointed after getting them home, but the opposite happened. They fill the room with great sound, and surprisingly enough bass to not have to mess with a sub. Powering with a 25 year old Kenwood 100Wx2 receiver and these things sound great out loud volumes -- smooth, dynamic and full range!

The quality and craftmanship of these speakers cannot be beat at this price range, especially when price was 50% off! My first listening to them after setup was some Steely Dan. I was VERY impressed with the sound and will enjoy them for years to come. Check out the ELAC brand!!

My old speakers from Radio Shack just did not sound good... they had dry rotted, time to replace.... Best Buy Home Advisor came to my house, evaluated the situation and recommended these speakers. I think they sound better than my old ones ever did!

These are great sounding speakers. I was able to purchase these on sale and what a deal I got. Read the other reviews, or better yet, buy the speakers. You will not be disappointed. I would recommend using these with a higher powered amp.

These are terrific bookshelf speakers. These are quite large and has great Bass response and crystal clear quality. The mids and highs are perfect. Compared to other speakers around the $1000 price range, these speakers can definitely hold their own.

Bought these on sale and couldn't be happier. Powered with an NAD 40 watt receiver on filled stands - awesome imaging, depth and bass extension. If you're considering these speakers, you won't regret the purchase.
