Customers value the quiet operation of the 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless-Steel Tub, frequently praising its low noise level. However, a significant number of customers expressed concerns regarding its cleaning effectiveness, reporting issues with dishes not getting thoroughly clean and requiring pre-washing. Some users mentioned needing to use multiple cleaning products to achieve satisfactory results. The dishwasher's cleaning performance appears to be a major point of contention among users.

Disappointed with top of the line dishwasher!

Thankfully we purchased the extended warranty plan from Best Buy and their service has been great! Can't say the same about the Electrolux dishwasher! Owned it for 2 years without a problem, then the problems started. The electronic panel in the door had to be replaced, error codes 1 and 2 happened. New parts were promptly installed, yet the problems did not go away. The dishwasher could not be repaired. Would never own another Electrolux product, keeping our fingers crossed that the Electrolux "counter depth refrigerator" and "wave top stove" don't go the same route. Awaiting the arrival of the replacement dishwasher, but this time we went with top rated consumer guide Bosch!

Electrolux Dishwasher - AVOID

Had this thing a couple months. During this time it randomly just dumped water on the floor a couple times and gave error codes and would not start up. First time I figured it was me - after that I knew something was wrong! Called in service and that guy decided there was a factory fix. Meanwhile service advised me to pre-wash dishes before running them and use less than half the recommended soap too. Seriously? 25 years of using DW's and NOW I should pre-wash??
Three weeks later service finally came back as they had the parts for a '"fix" for the water dumping on the floor. Made repair and told me to wait 24 hours to let adhesive set. After 24 hours we tried it several times and now it does not even wash dishes at all! Wont even push water enough to get the liquid soap off the door as it spills out of the soap cup. Heed the other warnings online and AVOID Electrolux (and Frigidare appliances - same company). Wish I had.
On a plus note our dishes are nice and clean now but that is because we are again hand washing them while looking at the Electrolux taking up space (while deciding on what brand to replace it with.) - yes - this unit is less than 6 months old and I am fed up with it - and reading everyone else complaining the only option is to cut my losses now and get a different Brand.
BTW - This is NOT a Best Buy issue. In fact I wish it was as they would actually fix the matter.

Do NOT buy this dishwasher!!

This model is defective and Electrolux knows it. Some users on other sites have gotten theirs replaced by Electrolux, but apparently, I haven't had enough repairs done yet to warrant this. This unit stops working for no apparent reason, all the lights blink and you have to tear it apart to see the 'error codes' that are underneath the unit. Most recently, it flooded my kitchen overnight. Beware and buy another model/brand.

It doesn't wash

1. When you don't pre-wash (not just flush) them manually, your dishes, cups and glasses will not get clean. The tech replaced 3-times the processing unit, we increased the water temperature at the inlet 20F above the standard, used all possible detergents - nothing helped.
2. When you fill the dishwasher up to capacity, dry residues of (any) detergent stay on the dishes. You have to place your dishes in every other space of the rack, which reduces the actual capacity of the dishwasher below capacity of any other dishwasher.
3. It is very quiet - you almost don't hear it

Bad choice!

We just finished remodeling our kitchen. Carefully selected all new appliances. In 2 months had to replace one new dishwasher unit for another one. Both have the same problem - dishes are not RINSED well. Used rinsing agent, as directed. Both looked like they've been used for years inside - so much white deposits. Customer service is great - was no problems with replacing unit and refund for the second one.

Nightmare Dishwasher

DO NOT buy this dish washer. With in the first 2 weeks the dish washer was giving errors that it was leaking. It would stop mid-cycle and not work for hours. Then, miraculously, it would turn on again. This happened at least 15 times in the first 6 months. I had the repair man at my house 3 times to "fix" the leak. Then, at the third month the entire computer panel went out and it wouldn't turn on at all. After this was replaced, I still continued with the "leak" error. Even if this was the only problem and the thing could get fixed, it NEVER actually WASHED the dished. It became a game for me to see how I could load it that it would wash everything, even with me rinsing first. That never happened. I am in the process of getting a different dish washer.

Terrible purchase

I bought this wanting a high end product. At first it would not clean until I used 3 products at each wash, making washing dishes expensive. I have to prewash everything. It has a bad odor at all times and the worst is that after only 3 years with minimum use, there are only 2 of us that use this, the motor went out. This is an expensive fix with no guarantees that there is not more problems with the controls. Once you set a cycle it is almost impossible to change, so I hope you like the same features for all your washes. I would not buy again or recommend to my worst enemy.

dishes come out coated, smell badly

We previously had a 15 year old, bottom of the line, Kitchen Aide, which worked well, and got dishes clean. We decided maybe we should switch to a more energy efficient washer, and chose model the salesperson recommended as "very quite, high quality" and that was really pretty. Big mistake.
it is quiet.
BUT. it does NOT clean the dishes. It never has. After washing dishes, they are coated with light layer of white greasy feeling substance, as is the washer itself. The washer smells unpleasant after the dishes are washed.
We have tried many brands of dishwasher-soap, ,
Two Electrolux service people came at different times; both said it dishwasher was working well One said "Well that is what dishwashers are like now. The other told us to run the hot water into the sink before starting the washer, so the dishes would be exposed to hot water.
A third service person arrived, from an independent repair store, and told us: "Oh, I am sorry you bought Electrolux, its very low quality"
Also, something I suppose we could live with, the washer will not change settings (ie slick different settings, they wont change.). Two parts have been changed by the service folks, still doesn't work.
We sure will buy no other electrolux product. Top of the price line, looks nice, bottom of the quality line.

Very quiet but had problems getting dishes clean...Do not pre-rinse dishes.
Works best with Electrosol Finish Dishwashing detergent and Liquid Jet Dry.
Some of the ingredients in some detergents, hinders the cleaning process as
does having a water softener in your home!

Don't by an Electrolux dishwasher

We re-modeled our entire kitchen several years ago. We installed every appliance by Electrolux, Refrig, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher.
We've had to replace EVERY appliance except the Stove, but that's on it's way out. This Dishwasher smelled all the time and we washed every thing we put in it first and it didn't matter. We just ordered the Bosch, the one for $809. The handle on the Microwave broke several times. I can't count the number of times we had to replace the water and ice maker on the Refrig unit. Now the stove has a digital display. A couple of the blue LED's that make up a word stay on all the time now. I am sure within a very short time our oven will have to be replaced too. I wrote a letter to the Company and no response. We thought we were purchasing the top of the line appliances, WHAT A MISTAKE. Stay clear!

Money down the drain!

We bought this dishwasher thinking it would be excellent, it looks great I give them that! I've had it for 2 years and the inside rusted and fell apart in pieces! It doesn't drain. It is cheaply constructed on the inside. We've had the racks and parts inside replaced 3 times because they just break off. Never again will I purchase this brand. We bought a stick vac too and it's junk as well! So yep, 1200 down the drain! I'm sticking with a cheaper frigidaire which is what we had in the first place for 10 years but wanted to update the look of our kitchen appliances. I called Electrolux and I'm out of luck, they won't do a thing about it! I've been hand washing dishes since I bought this thing. Good luck to whoever buys this piece of beautiful junk.

We have had this dishwasher for 3 months and we hate it. As others have stated, it does not clean the dishes. We have had a repair man come to our house twice to tell us how to make this thing work. The first guy told us that we were using too much soap and that was why it wasn't cleaning off the food and why it was leaving a white film on everything. So we drastically cut back on the soap which did no good. The second guy told us to not wash any food off of our dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher. We tried that but we had just as much food on the dishes when they came out as we did when they went in! We are scheduling a repair man to come out for the third time and we are going to beg Best Buy to let us return this dishwasher so we can get a Kithcen Aid. This dishwasher is terrible and not worth the money. I know someone mentioned that you must use soap from Europe to make this thing clean. I don't know if that is true, but if it is, who wants a dishwasher that you have to order soap from Europe for?

Small ports that the top rack fits into when you raise or lower rack did not close properly. This created water pressure so low that the dishes were not washed properly. Not sure if this is only on my dishwasher or a flaw in the design.

Expensive - not worth the price

This dishwasher is hit or miss on getting the dishes clean. The rack spacing allows plates and bowls to fit too closely together and there are many times that food stains are left on the dishes. If you skip a position for each dish it works better, but obviously the machine will not hold as many dishes.
The top rack does not hold bowls very well. Also on the sides of the top rack there are plastic clips that intrude into the area for glasses which makes it difficult to load larger glasses.
There is no built in food disposer so you must scrape everything off of the plate. Also, if you want really clean dishes you have to pre rinse them before loading. Definitely not a plus with a machine of this price.
If I had to do it again, I would have purchased a Kitchen Aide.

This dishwasher has been a nightmare from the day it came to our house. We had the repairman 3 times in the first year. Now that we ran out of warranty the thing is broken again. The diagnosis system was telling us the the drain valve was the problem we spend $80 dls to replace it and still does not work. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this piece of junk. We paid for top of the line and got a piece of junk. We will never buy another electrolux product. We just replaced our refrigerator and did not go for electrolux.

I have installed and used many dishwashers over the years from many manufacturers. This is by far the quietest dishwasher I have ever used. It looks good. Racks and bins are easy to access for loading. I have read the other reviews that talk about cleaning performance, but I have had no issues at all with cleaning. The one downside is the controls are on the top of the door and can not be seen with the door closed.

After 2 years the parts rusted inside and we could not get proper service on the unit. It then started to leak and caused damage to my floor. Electrolux did nothing but placate us. I would recomend this dishwasher only if you like handwashing dishes and sitting on hold.

Can't Tell when it is running - good and bad

Don't buy this "low end" model as there is no display to tell you when it is running. Its nice and quiet, but the only lights to know when it is running or finished are under the counter and you can barely see them. Apparently you have to spend a couple hundred more to know if it is on.
Also, it doesn't clean that great as others have said.

We just had the Electrolux dishwasher installed and it really is as quiet as it promised and the quality is excellent. It is also very simple to use, with the touch button system. The product was a little pricey, but well worth it!
