    3 weeks and my 4th grader and I are almost up to # 80. I had a Heathkit in the 1950s. this is more rugged and the 5 manuals explain small, important things about circuits. Give us a year and we can rate the next 5 to 6 hundred experiments. The snaps are easier than the old springs. I feel we will understand what we are doing when we get to the part about building a radio and a radio transmitter, but , so far I have resisted the temtation of jumping to the end of the books which might ruin the ending. Worth the money, dont need to order more parts and it is alot of quality time with my daughter, who tells me what to do.

    The Elenco Snap Circuits series of electronics kits is a well-conceived approach for teaching basic electronics and circuit construction. Although primarily aimed at children, these kits could be used at almost any level to provide hands-on basic electronics instruction. The parts are rugged and well-made and suitable for handling by inexperienced people. The instructions for assembly of the various projects are well-thought-out and provide operational as well as assembly information.

    I'm really glad we found this kit to provide some educational fun during summer break! Our son is a "hands-on" learner and likes activities that keep his hands busy. The kit keeps him occupied and his friends also like it. I notice he is keeping the parts very organized; another plus!
