I use this next to my Apple 27in thunderbolt monitor. The stand is a good height. I put my 17in MacBook Pro in the stand. The top of my laptop monitor is almost aligned with the top of my Thunderbolt. If your mouse hand is right, I recommend placing the stand on the left hand side of your large monitor. That way the bottom of the stand won't get in the way of your mouse or mousepad. Setup and placing/removing the laptop are simple.

Really happy with this stand, some of the reviews made me worry about the laptop sliding off but they now have little clips that secure the laptop if it is to slide, its a really nice design, simple, easy to disassemble and carry anywhere in the house or even on a trip if you really wanted to I guess but my favorite setup is using it at home with my lenovo yoga 2 pro in Stand mode and use a bluetooth keyboard/mouse with it - works great - would recommend

I was having problems with next looking down at my 17" laptop on my desk. This stand elevates it to eye level.
