Elgato lights are top-notch and this Ring Light upholds those top standards. Yes, they're kinda pricey but the light quality is great at creating soft/hard shadows in a small space. But the star of the whole thing is how this connects to the Elgato app to control lighting and temperature really easily. Perfect for a pro and new users!

I bought this so that I could gain lighting when I'm on Zoom calls. I can say that I'm very happy with the results, but that I also don't know much about proper lighting or techniques. So, while I can't speak to its professional grade quality, I can speak to its casual user-friendly features. Most importantly, it's not blinding and can be offset so that it's not directly in your eyes. I have it behind and above my monitor, tilted slightly downward. The brightness and temperature can be controlled with the desktop app or a mobile device. It can clamp to your desk, standing straight up. Very unobtrusive. I also dismounted my shaky web cam from the monitor because the light has a convenient attachment in its center that I was able to screw the camera on to. Overall, it's just a well thought out product. I also picked up an elgato Wave 3 microphone which on its own is also a great piece of hardware. I'm finding that I'm gaining confidence with elgato and their hardware (and even the software that accompanies it).

Originly got this for the wife but needed up using ing my self instead for Podcasting and Streaming. Has the added benifit of being used for zoom calls for working from home as well. Perfect for keeping your videos looking good with great lighting and is easy to set up and since it's on your wireless network can be used practically anywhere.

Expensive, but worth it. Well constructed, with multiple options for mounting and positioning. There's multiple methods of controlling the light on/off, color, and brightness remotely. Integrates seemlessly with the Stream Deck.

This is extremely well made with a wide rage of color temperatures. We were able to take the ring light off the table mount and mount it directly to a standard camera tripod with the included ball joint. It has an app available that lets you adjust the color temperature and brightness, though you can also do that through the two buttons just below the camera mount inside the ring. We did have an issue with the app constantly disconnecting from the ring light and we kept having to push the reset button several times in order to get it to reconnect, but we kind of figured out a fix of sorts. When we first set up the app, we had it paired up with our 5GHz WiFi network, and it kept disconnecting, so then I checked the manual and found out that it works with 2.4GHz WiFi with no mention of 5GHz in the spec sheet, so I tried to connect it to our 2.4GHz network instead and it seemed to have fixed the issue. If that’s the case that’s user error on my part and not really a ring light error. Hopefully that helps any of you if you have problems with it constantly disconnecting like we did at first. Other than that connection issue, it works really well.

Was slightly on the fence with grabbing this light from Elgato because of its price, but it is 100% worth it. Setup was easy, it is plenty bright, and it helped make my rinky-dink webcam look better for streaming to Twitch. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

This is a perfect light for a home studio setup. Produces good light, easy to use, and built well. Mounting mechanism could be better, and a bit expensive for a consumer light. This won't replace a professional studio light, but great nonetheless.

This is probably my favorite quarantine purchase. It works fantastically as a video call ring light, I've been able to use it for some photography work, as well as a surprisingly useful general room light source. The elgato app makes this light a game changer - I can control the light from anywhere in my house as long as I am connected to wifi (on/off, light temp, & brightness).

Love this ring light el gato has the best products out there plus there is a spot to mount a camera or phone on this ring light would definitely recommend!

The light works great but I have had some connectivity issues with the app. Also, the mount helps if you want to mount on a desk but you will need a light stand if you want to in other places.

Such a great light. It is really bright but at the same time does not put strain on my eyes, even at the higher temps.

By far the best quality light you can purchase. I got into video game streaming recently and was shopping around. I was leaning towards a cheaper light on amazon but my gut was telling me to try this light. I'm a photographer and I know how important lighting is, its actually more important than the camera quality. You can have the best camera but worse light and not have as good of a shot as if you would if you had the best lighting and decent camera.

Being used for my Sony Alpha 6400 with a pretty heavy lens. The light is very bright and makes it look as organic as possible without a box or umbrella set up. I can see what its 200$ because the material its made from also seems very solid. The heat it produces on the max setting does seem to get a tad bit hot. But when you realize that the max setting seems to rival the sun you can forgive it. So far I'm very happy for this product and would recommend people to stop and realize that yes this is worth a 200$ ring light.

This is a fantastic multipurpose ring light! It's not heavy and fairly mobile, though a basic stand included would be nice as opposed to just the clamp. You can control it via an app or, even quicker and easier, by the 3 buttons on the light's base. It had the widest range of brightness settings I've seen. You can stare at this light and the diffuser does such a good job that it's no problem getting used to it without squinting. That's a first and why I recommend this light for video calls, streaming, etc!

Excellent lighting, easy setup. Works great with elgato cell phone app or, computer app or stream deck. Nice even lighting great size.

Perfect light! Using this for a streaming setup but mainly to provide better light for my camera. Lighting is everything. Takes my c920 webcam look just as good as my dslr, if you don’t have good light even the best camera will look trash. Easy integration with my elgato stream deck and setup took less than 5 mins. Desk c clamp works great.

Does what I wanted, fits my canon eos t6i with a larger lens on it and stays sturdy.
