Light is good, connecting to wifi was somewhat difficult. Thus, was not able to use the app feature much. Good built. Still using it as a desk lamp.

So my wife does Instagram & Zoom streams and lightning of course is the most important. We upgraded from the Sunpak and the Elgato ring light blows it out of the water. The brightness is amazing and also does a great job at lower levels. IOS app control is very responsive. You don't have to utilize the app to operate the light. I wish it came with the base but the clamp mount is amazing, it does not move at all once it's down. Great to utilize on a desk our counter. The only con would be that it does not come with a phone holder.
If your looking for a great ring light with lots of accessories support. This is the one for you!

This ring light is absolutely fantastic. It is super bright and is well diffused so the light doesn't look harsh. It lights up the whole room if I need it to and works perfectly with my green screen. I also love how easily I can control it from my phone! This was the best birthday present.

The Elgato Ring Light is an exceptional light for video and picture capture. If you live stream or video conference this light will ensure you can be seen. I use my Elgato Ring Light to video conference in a room with very little natural light. I appreciate being able to control the light with the Elgato Control Center app on my PC or from my android phone. The app lets me control power, brightness and color temp. The light offers color temp range from sunlight to warm white. If you have need for a professional ring light with a strong desktop mount, you will be hard pressed to find a comparable light.

I bought this so that I could gain lighting when I'm on Zoom calls. I can say that I'm very happy with the results, but that I also don't know much about proper lighting or techniques. So, while I can't speak to its professional grade quality, I can speak to its casual user-friendly features.
Most importantly, it's not blinding and can be offset so that it's not directly in your eyes. I have it behind and above my monitor, tilted slightly downward. The brightness and temperature can be controlled with the desktop app or a mobile device. It can clamp to your desk, standing straight up. Very unobtrusive. I also dismounted my shaky web cam from the monitor because the light has a convenient attachment in its center that I was able to screw the camera on to.
Overall, it's just a well thought out product. I also picked up an elgato Wave 3 microphone which on its own is also a great piece of hardware. I'm finding that I'm gaining confidence with elgato and their hardware (and even the software that accompanies it).

I am having a couple issues with mine. First off, the thumb screw that holds the ring light onto the stand does not grip well. Multiple times the whole ring has come flopping down on me. I don't dare tighten anymore than I am. Second, it CONSTANTLY disconnects from WIFI. I have a small/medium business grade home network using Ubiquiti equipment - I went through the hoops of turning things on that elgato recommended, but it is still unreliable - connecting here and there and disconnecting later. Third, it wobbles A LOT. Any slight movement on my desk, even just typing starts a camera wobble that lasts long past the time the pole holding it up shakes. The flex appears to be coming from where the pole swivel connects into the ring light.. it is screwed on snug but I think the thin ness leads to flex.
On the flip side, this is handy to have my stream deck controls when it works. It also gets very bright and I like the range of color temperature it offers. With even minimal brightness it makes a huge difference in my camera quality. I still recommend this product, just make it is right for you.

This is a perfect light for a home studio setup. Produces good light, easy to use, and built well. Mounting mechanism could be better, and a bit expensive for a consumer light. This won't replace a professional studio light, but great nonetheless.

Really sturdy design, has a very large range of brightness. My only complaint is that if you want to conect it to your Pc or Phone, it is done on the internet connection you are using and not Bluetooth.

Purchased this light earlier this month and have nothing but good things to say about it! The lighting it puts off is unbelievable. Warm or Bright looks great. It also has adjustment buttons on the top to make things easier without the app. Perfect for streaming/vlogging. Camera mount in the center is super adjustable. Only minus was it didn't come with a tripod mount but that was an easy fix. I'm a firm believer in Elgato products. Have over 5 in my inventory for streaming and they all perform great.

Being used for my Sony Alpha 6400 with a pretty heavy lens. The light is very bright and makes it look as organic as possible without a box or umbrella set up. I can see what its 200$ because the material its made from also seems very solid. The heat it produces on the max setting does seem to get a tad bit hot. But when you realize that the max setting seems to rival the sun you can forgive it. So far I'm very happy for this product and would recommend people to stop and realize that yes this is worth a 200$ ring light.

The product itself is excellent. Performs above and beyond. Really bright and even light goes from cool to warm with ease. App was a little finicky to setup on Android but it works. My only issue was that the pole extends but was jammed into its retracted state. Took a little tough love, disassembly and wd40 to get that going but it works smoothly now. For the price I shouldn't have had to do that but it is what it is.

Overall I am very happy with the performance of this ring light. The brightness is easy to adjust and the large diameter casts a very smooth even light. The light diffusion is really good as well, there are no individual bright spots or unevenness. Mounting it is simple enough, though the stand that it comes with feel like the most high quality part, when I received mine the telescoping function did not work. Fortunately I had some tool oil, rope and pulleys that I could use to get the stand sliding for height adjustment. Once it was freed and wore in the fitting it could slide as intended and lock with the screw lock.
Unsurprisingly the light housing and buttons are made of plastic, it doesn't feel cheap but it doesn't feel super premium either. The buttons don't have a stable actuation or tactile feedback, they just sort of mush, but they work for the purpose.
Nonetheless, the light that comes out does not flicker and is very evenly dispersed across the subject in front of it. All in all I am very happy with the performance of the light and would still buy it again. From a purely light emission standpoint it is excellent, full 5 starts. As, for how I feel about the quality, the stand and camera mounts both get 5 stars but the light itself is at a 4 due to the plastic feel and non premium buttons fro adjusting. Which as a value, I assume there must be a ton of LEDs that cost a lot in this thing since the green screen from Elgato feels way more premium and seems way more expensive to manufacture but is only 75% of the cost.

The Elgato ring light is the best quality ring light I have found between being able to control the colour temperature and it having an outstanding brightness this made a fantastic addition to my setup. I use this light daily and even as the main light for my room. I definitely feel that I get my money worth with this light and the different attachments, especially the camera attachment, is amazing considering that many other ring lights on the market currently do not have as many attachments. The controls are easy to set up on phone and PC making it extremely user-friendly. Each part is easily adjustable to get the correct angle no matter your set ups configuration. Setting this ring light on a tripod for photography is also easy to do and makes even lower-quality cameras look good. After months of looking this had also been the cheapest place to purchase since many amazon sellers had raised their prices.

Love this light. Its pretty expensive as far as ring lights go, but the features it has makes up for the price tag....or at least makes it a lil less painful.
The wifi connection to your Elgato Stream Deck and app is great, tho a little tricky to connect at first. Once connected tho I haven't had any disconnection issues.
The color Temps are wide and varried between cool and warm white lights and this thing gets pretty dang bright.
The adjustable telescoping pole it mounts to is great for putting a full size DSLR within the ring and everything articulates on its own. The light itself moves and then the camera mount inside it modlves, giving you a lot of angle and placement options. The desk mount is great and helps free up floor and desk space, tho I kind of wish it also came with a floor stand mount for the price, as the desk mount is just ever so slightly too tall at its shortest setting for a good comfortable camera height. Its not terrible, but I would've liked it to be slightly lower than where it sits currently.

Elgato lights are top-notch and this Ring Light upholds those top standards. Yes, they're kinda pricey but the light quality is great at creating soft/hard shadows in a small space. But the star of the whole thing is how this connects to the Elgato app to control lighting and temperature really easily. Perfect for a pro and new users!

Great light with incredible temperature customization. App works very well however I still think the light is slightly overpriced. I purchased prior to latest price drop. The camera mount is not hefty enough for larger DSLR but a smaller camera with a small lens should be just fine. Quality is good and gives excellent light distribution.

This is extremely well made with a wide rage of color temperatures. We were able to take the ring light off the table mount and mount it directly to a standard camera tripod with the included ball joint.
It has an app available that lets you adjust the color temperature and brightness, though you can also do that through the two buttons just below the camera mount inside the ring.
We did have an issue with the app constantly disconnecting from the ring light and we kept having to push the reset button several times in order to get it to reconnect, but we kind of figured out a fix of sorts. When we first set up the app, we had it paired up with our 5GHz WiFi network, and it kept disconnecting, so then I checked the manual and found out that it works with 2.4GHz WiFi with no mention of 5GHz in the spec sheet, so I tried to connect it to our 2.4GHz network instead and it seemed to have fixed the issue. If that’s the case that’s user error on my part and not really a ring light error. Hopefully that helps any of you if you have problems with it constantly disconnecting like we did at first. Other than that connection issue, it works really well.

The build of this ring light is superb. I have used other lights that do not provide the same quality of diffused light. The built in mount is a great feature and using an app to adjust lighting is a nice add.
