I am a huge L Frank Baum fan and wish they would have made more seasons

Loved season 1 of Emerald City! Though I have never read the books, I have seen several adaptations if The Wizard of Oz. I love the various character adaptations & as the season continues, you will find yourself questioning who is the one causing trouble for Oz. This is not a show for young kids as there are dark themes, scenes\events that will be scary for them, & at times they will not understand what is going on. This is a show more for mature audiences. BUYER CAUTION: There are loose ends in the final episode. Last I heard NBC canceled the show & it has not been picked up by another network yet. I would love to see this show continued so fingers crossed NBC either changes their mind or it gets picked up by another network. Though I would recommend this to a friend, I would also let them know it is the only season & so far will be the only season.

One of the best TV show I watched in a long time ! If you love Once Upon a Time or these kinds of shows, go watch it ! It is really worth it ! It's dark, it's funny, there is love, there is pain, there is adventure. Toto is a big dog (sorry, if your dog is not bigger than a cat, it's not really a dog ! XD ) Actors are amazing (special thought to Ana Ularu who plays West) and the story is really well written. But yes, you won't find the story from the book (anyway Dorothy is older) watching this show, and I don't think it was the purpose anyway, but I prefer this version a lot ! I will watch this again and again and again !

Were not in the world of the musical any more. This Oz is darker and far more interesting the Iconic movie. Dorothy is a lot more independent and resourceful The wizard is darker and corrupt The witches are not as clearly evil or good The land of Oz in a far, far richer environment than any others seen before

I watched this on tv when it came out and was very surprised at how good it actually was. I liked that they did an updated version of the Wizard of Oz. It looks like they may do more episodes by the way it ended. Would be nice.

Interesting the twist they took using wizard of oz movie. The individual shows are good but you have to follow the story line because you can get confused easily. The ending does open for season 2 if there is one.

This is a fantastic take on the original story. It’s gritty and paced well. Good for the adult fans of the original movie and books.

A very nice take on the OZ. Only ten episodes and the series is cancelled but the ten episodes did reach a conclusion (yep. it was a cliffhanger...ah well). Great effects. Enjoyable.

I've seen previews for this show and when I saw it in store I had to buy it. It is an entertaining new take on the classic Wizard of Oz tale.

If there was one new show NBC shouldn't have cancelled it is Emerald City. Adria is a great Dorothy. An excellent twist on Oz
