I like getting the bundle where a BR, DVD and DIgital copy are included although the DVD is getting to be less of a need. Unfortunately the Sony or UV variety of the Digital version is terrible to set up and use... logging in is never consistent and the constant need to redownload a movie for viewing is not friendly. OK, so I prefer Apple products to view my movies and Sony and Apple don't see eye-to-eye... too bad, won't be purchasing Sony movies as much if they don't make it work better.

This is a good movie. The story is very interesting and kept me watching. This movie has made me interested in reading the book series. Overall, the acting is pretty good. Hailee Steinfeld is really good in her role, even though it's not the biggest role. Surprisingly, Asa Butterfield was a little wooden in certain parts of the movie, but I still like him in the role. I got the blu-ray/ DVD combo for an amazing price during the Black Friday sale. Great deal. Recommended.

I began this movie with some trepidation. I really enjoyed this book and did not want to witness its potential betrayal. This movie is excellent. It is true to the spirit and tone of the book. Someone who has never read the book will enjoy the movie and those of who have read the book will enjoy reliving the incredible story in a different format. This is in contrast to other movies like Starship Troopers where a reader would miss some central relationships and characters.

This is an exciting film! I have to admit, I did not read the books but as far as a movie it had everything you would ask for. It is packed with cool action, amazing graphics, good acting and just an overall interesting storyline. The story moves quickly and I personally would have enjoyed seeing more of the story in the second act of the film but it comes to gather nicely in the end. Recommend this film for all age groups. It got a lot of negative publicity before it was released due to the author's beliefs but that does not come through in the film. Definitely should watch!

Ender's Game is a pretty good sci-fi film that is somewhat underappreciated. The cast, story, and visuals all add up to create an enjoyable experience. The 4K transfer is also the best way to view this film. Recommended.

I'm not exactly the demographic this movie was made for, but I enjoyed it greatly. To my surprise they followed the plot of the book veryclosely. I thought they would have to remove some of the sub plots, the they were there, or at least alluded to. My only complaint would be the age of the actors... The children were all too old for the story to have the shocking conclusion it should have had, but the actors they did use were excellent. And the film looks amazing!

I saw this movie in the theater and really enjoyed it. I know that the author is a religious zealot and Harrison Ford has seemingly lost his marbles, but neither of these issues discounts the fact that this movie was well-done and is very underrated. I was not familiar with the book beforehand, and there are some interesting plot twists and narrative devices in this story. If you enjoy sci-fi or action movies, this is definitely worth checking out.

I DID ENJOY THE MOVIE EVEN THOUGH THE DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN IT AND THE BOOK WERE A BIT FRUSTRATING. I THINK THAT IF THEY HAD GIVEN IT A BIT MORE LENGTH, THE UNIQUENESS OF THE BOOK COULD HAVE BEEN EXPRESSED BETTER IN THE MOVIE. ONCE YOU WATCH THE MOVIE I HOPE YOU WILL SEEK OUT THE BOOK FOR A MORE IN-DEPTH LOOK AT ENDER AND THOSE AROUND HIM. I AM NOT AT ALL SORRY THAT I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE. I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED IT WITH FRIENDS THAT WERE VERY EXCITED TO SEE IT.

Fantastic movie, if you have read the book. I wish they could have shown more of the contrast between Ender's siblings to understand his inner struggles. We are fortunate to live in an age where technology could actually capture such a high tech futuristic world. I like how the "box" implanted back in earth that was was portrayed in the film, much better than my imagination. I wish the audience could get gotten a better sense of Ender's struggles through battle school and the secret practices with the launchies that become the great leaders after graduation.

Ender's Game was bound to be a very difficult book to make into a movie. So much of the book is in Ender's head and that's just hard to film. However, I think what they did do was superb. The movie actually enhances the experience of the book by allowing you to experience visually what the characters are experiencing mentally in the book. I highly recommend it to anyone that read the book. If you've not read the book I don't know what you'll think. It may come across a little slow. But I'd ask you why haven't you read one of the best books in this genre?

My wife and I both enjoyed this movie. I had never heard of the book it was based on and had no preconceived notions of what to expect. I think it did poorly in the theaters because it was not well known. I found it visually spectacular, and they extras revealed that they had to create some ingenious ways of simulating zero gravity with the actors. I would recommend giving it a chance, if you lice science fiction, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I saw this movie in the theater when it first came out and planned to add it to my blue ray collection. Unfortunately I didn't get around to it until this week. The movie is a great one especially for junior/ teen age category. The only downside to this purchase was the case was slightly damaged. I didn't realize it until I got home. But it was the last one on the shelf so it likely wouldn't have mattered.

I read this book series as a kid and to see it on the big screen was awesome. I believe the script writer got it mostly right. There were a couple of changes that I did not like. Ender was a genius. In the book he knew figured out what was really happening in the simulation but in the movie the movie it came out after the battle and validated by the commander. Great emotion in the scene for the movie but did not follow the book. The movie was too short during battleschool training but they got the important points. Happy viewing and enjoy.

Ender's Game may be my favorite book, so I viewed the movie quite critically. When I first saw it, I thought it was good. I normally do not watch movies more than twice, but watched it a third time in 4K and now believe it is a great movie. I have two teenagers who first saw the movie in the theatres, and their opinions, and how appropriate the movie was for them, influenced the opinion above.

Ender's Game in 4K HDR is a nice example of the superior viewing experience possible with the premium format (unlike the 3D BluRay format). I previously purchased the BluRay version of this film, when originally released, which I viewed on 4K HDR capable hardware. I picked it up on 4K HDR Ultra-BluRay expecting a subtle difference if any. The improved contrast and depth of color is surprisingly obvious in the zero-g scenes on the space station and the space battle scenes.

I thought this movie was good. I didn't read the book, so I had no knowledge of the story before watching this dvd. It exceeded my expectations. Spoiler alert. I'm going to jump right into the movie. The last "training exercise" was definitely a combination of all the previous training he received. You could tell by the formations the team was executing. It was messed up how the this last exercise was the actual mission to wipe out an entire species. If you're enjoy strategy, this is definitely the movie for you.

Good special effects, and top notch actors in supporting roles. Compared to the novel everything is necessarily compressed. For example, in the book, Ender begins his training at the age of 6 and it lasts eight years. In the film, it seems to be just several months. Still, the movie doesn't violate the themes of the novel and does a reasonable job of showing the most important incidents and themes. Not just an action flick.

I did not see this in the theater. I waited until it was in redbox. I was very surprised how much my husband and I liked this movie. Its a shame it didnt do well in the theaters. Most movies have you dish out 10+ bucks for a ticket and then I would walk away thinking I wasted 2hr of my life and hard earned money, surpringly this movie would not have left me feeling that way, which is why I spent $20 on the bluray. Well worth it. Hope they make atleast a sequel. I know there are many books of this series.

The special effects and cg were just outstanding - worth seeing just for that if nothing else. While the story line was good, it was set up for a sequel at the end, which may not happen, so it sort of lets down the whole story line. If sequels aren't planned, they should have revised the ending. The kids did a good job, but Ford seemed very flat - not much enthusiasm. Overall, it is well worth adding to your collection.

A very good movie, though of course they rush the development of the main character. Not as formulaic as many, this one really presents actual thoughtful characters along with great sci-fi graphics. the premise is a bit scary and unoriginal. The enemy from another planet tried to kill us. OK, but you haven't seen this one. this one is slightly different and the differences are welcome.
