More like Endless Fun. Seriously this game is a blast to play and relax with. Also helps that Nintendo has been giving the game free online events.

Pretty similar mechanics to original game. You can play multiplayer online but not same console. There's a lot more to look at however the story mode is so quick and pretty boring so I spend more of my time in Shared Dives. There's different colored suits you can buy but it would be 10x better if there was a mermaid skin.

Very relaxing and fun exploration game. You have to understand what you're getting into though. This is a game purely about exploring the ocean and learning about various forms of underwater life. There isn't really any way to lose, but if you're just looking for a relaxing experience and are fascinated by the deep sea, this is the game for you.

It's awesome. Love looking for fish and learning new things. The only thing I didn't like is the first Endless ocean was better.

If you expect this game to be like its predecessor endless ocean blue world. You are faded to be disappointed. This game has a completely different storytelling mechanic. However, it has some really interesting extinct and legendary characters that are a joy to find when you do find them.
And the positive they do have an online feature where you can play with up to 30 divers which makes the experience unique to its predecessors.

I have really enjoyed this game. It is relaxing and beautifully done, you can play as long or as short as you want without worrying about missing out because you didn’t come back daily. The creatures in the ocean are beautiful and they give you information about what you are finding.

Boring!! If you liked the Endless Ocean you will be very disappointed in this version. First off you cannot get out of the water so the entire game us under water. Second is you have to identify an enormous amount of fish before you can advance. To identify the fish you swim by them and that gets very boring very quickly. You also are very limitrd in finding salvageable items unlike the old Endless Ocean version. After all these years this is the best Nintendo could do for the new version. Save your money on this one.

While I certainly had my fun with it. This is an underwhelming game that I would not recommend to anyone looking for a more engaging experience. The game also has a game breaking bug that prevents you from completing the game. Went almost a month waiting for the game to get patched in order to complete it.

Not much going on for this. It starts out fine enough, but it is so repetitive as the game goes on.

I would've never had Endless Ocean on my Bingo card for franchises to return, and this is an alright return for this franchise. If you want a very chill, atmospheric yet barebones undersea exploration, Endless Ocean could be for you.

Normally I'm not one to leave reviews, but Endless Ocean Luminous was disappointing enough that I feel like my loss should be someone's gain.
I picked the game up largely on the reputation of the two previous Wii games, which seem to be fairly revered cult classics. Endless Ocean Luminous is...not likely to join them.
To put it short: it's aimless, with virtually nothing to do. You drop into randomized ocean maps, swim around, scan fish in a very REZ/Panzer Dragoon "hold the button and sweep" manner, and find trash on the seafloor. Sometimes you find items that unlock squares on the "99 Mystery Board." Sometimes you need to find a fish and take it to a giant...coin, I guess, to unlock another square. Your ultimate goal each dive is to find seven (out of thousands) fish in each map, scan them, and make a large, rare fish appear for a few minutes. Played solo, sweeping the map row by row, this takes at least an hour, and the game isn't shy about summoning a giant fish you've already seen, wasting that hour entirely.
This is arguably faster in multiplayer, but it's not great there, either - when the giant fish appears, you've got three minutes to make your way to it before the dive ends. On the other side of the map? Too bad!
There's a story mode in here, but it's largely a waste of time, gated between levels by asking you to scan hundreds or thousands of fish in solo dives to progress. Once you hit Chapter 3 it all becomes cutscenes, anyway.
I guess my point is, for a game with very little to do, what little there is to do is frustrating and insanely dull. If you want to hear an AI voice read a bunch of fish descriptions in a stilted cadence, then maybe you'll get something out of it.
Otherwise, take $50 and go to your local aquarium, buy an ice cream or something. You're bound to have a better time doing that.

Great game to unwind and relax. No hard challenges, no bosses, just relaxing exploration and tagging fish.
