This game could be better. I paid all of that money for it. It's ridiculous and pointless. Do Not Buy It

The microsoft sam voice is really not helping this RNG game...the paper-thick story is SUCH a departure from previous entries as well. If you're a massive fan of the Everblue/Endless Ocean franchise, this game will disappoint you in its multiplayer-pushing gacha-achievement mediocrity. If you're a massive fan of aquatic life, this game will disappoint you with its constant inaccuracies, errors, and lack of care or passion for the subject matter. If you just need to entertain a toddler or something, it might work for that. This is the worst I've ever been burned on a perorder, and I tried to preorder ME:A...although, if I had succeeded, this one still might be worse. :(

Do not compare this to the Wii game. It is similliar but completely different. I bought this thinking it would be a continuation of the original game. Still fun though....

It’s fun, but it gets like very tedious, but it’s still fun to play, especially if your children have switches and you can all go diving for fishes together.

I bought this for my son. He loves the ocean and especially sharks. He loves it. Because of the large variety of sea creatures and the locations for diving. He loves learning about the creatures that he's never seen before. He also mentioned the tutorial was a bit much, but he did just wanted to jump straight into the exploring. He can't wait to find the White and Meg sharks. He says if he could use a vr headset with this it would be fantastic.
I just wish there was a way i could dive with him without buying a 2nd copy of the game.

i always loved the endless ocean series and i don't understand why this one got such drastically bad reviews. there are definitely some features i miss (like customization, more characters that aren't AI, a home base like a boat or island, and more music), but it's still a great nature exploration game, and there really aren't many of those. the prehistoric creatures are AMAZING. it feels a lot more similar to the first game than blue world, and i tended to prefer the first game anyway. i actually love the random maps, and while i do not like how pricey all the stickers etc are, or how much like busywork scanning all the creatures can sometimes feel, the exploration and observation is still beyond cool. i don't understand why people think it's 'soulless' other than the choice of having an AI character, lol. and maybe the lack of music, but picking your own music is really enjoyable actually, and reminds me even more of playing the very first game, which is probably still my favorite in the series. i wish i could rate four and a half stars tbh because the overall experience can be quite wonderful, but i can't really concede to five because there are still some features i miss too much

Increible Homage to a Better Era

For any fans of the Endless Ocean series, which first appeared on the Wii, will be more than estatic a reimagining of the series. This game DOES have a story mode, and although the story mode remains less rounded compared to it’s predecessors, it does introduce multiplayer activities. This game’s most fatal flaw is not so much a flaw of the game, but a flaw of the console it is on. The Switch’s extremely old processing power bottlenecks’s Endless Ocean from achieving smooth performance. Even still, the charm of diving into the unknown and discovering hundreds or unique creatures in a soothing deep sea environment is enough to draw me in. This game is certainly worth a try.

They absolutely phoned it in...

The previous games were great and had actual progression, interaction with the animals, and scientific research. This game is just a randomly generated fish tank that you swim around in and scan fish to add them to your pokédex. The "story mode" missions are absolute trash busy work, and the disembodied robo-voice guide is nothing but a constant irritant. If this had instead been a lazy, unchanged port of the previous titles, it would have been far, far superior to the insulting embarrassment that it is. I 100% wish I'd pirated it first to try out instead of paying for it; that's what I get for assuming and trusting the team just because their previous work was so amazing.

Nothing like old game

I got this game because of my love for the old wii game. However, this is not anything like the old games. The story line is “there” but on the missions you do very little if any playing. I was extremely disappointed. It seemed so fun but I was bored after only a few hours.
