The movie plot and beats and lessons are a bit standard for youth movies. What makes this stand is the beauty of it all and acting. The CGI animation is absolutely stunning and the attention to detail (one of the benefits of blu-ray) shows that those that worked on the movie truly cared about the art of it all. And the voice over work is top notch (Colin Farrell gives a great performance). Definitely recommended!

Pretty decent children’s movie and has its funny moments for the whole family

Adorable movie! Visually stunning! Great voice over talents with the exception of Beyoncé. While her voice may have been cast for its comfortably regal and authoritative quality, I found her performance a bit lacking; the same as I find her visual acting. Regardless, it was a sense stimulating and entertaining movie. I was engrossed in the story from the opening scene to the last!

" Epic" Fun movie, great story, a must own for a 3D collection. "Hugo" is my favorite movie,unbelievable and beautiful cinematographic in 3 D, long movie but worth watch until the end ( don't give up after 15 minutes), you'll appreciate the story. Already watched 3 times when I have guests over the house and was a pleasure to all.

My 2year old son loves it. By the way, I love it when you get the blu Ray dvd and digital copy all in one package under 25-30 bucks. Keep stocking those Disney and Pixar titles like that. Works great if you have a blu Ray at home and a dvd player in the suv or van. Digital copy good for flying commercial on iPad or laptop.

Great 3D effects but the movie was weird. Kids will probably be freaked out

Purchased this for my son but much to my surprise, I was drawn in and absorbed into the movie early on. Very nice 3D effects. Excellent casting for voice overs. Beautiful scenery all in 3D. The visual imagery and creativity is simply stunning. Must have for little ones and adults alike.

I have a 3D tv but don't have any 3d media to watch. Went to best buy to look at their 3d blu ray movies selection. Saw this movie for $10 and figure it could hurt to check it out. I was surprised that it was a really good movie. The 3d feature was amazing. Love the 3d technology.

y family saw this movie orignally in the the theater in 3D. It was stunning then and has translated well to Blu-ray. I was pleasently surprised by Steven Tyler's performance and disapointed by Beyonce's The mix of accents was confusing, although meant as a fantasy. Still my 6 and 9 year old enjoyed it. It is pretty clean for language, themes, and violence.

Outside of Ice Age, Blue Sky Studios proves it can make an entertaining fantasy adventure for families. While the story be sound familiar and a couple of characters may be cliched, the movie still has creativity and atmosphere. Not completely characterized as the title, but close enough for enjoyment.

While this animated film was colorful and enchanting, it might be a bit long for smaller children. Smaller children might also miss the environmental themes portrayed. Other than that, it was a good story, especially if you enjoy fantasy.

Here's a pretty great movie that you probably haven't ever heard about, and that's a shame! Interesting nature story for those who love stories of fairies and wee folk, with a bit of Honey I Shrunk The Kids thrown in. My 4 year old loves this movie, as do I. Buy this!

EPIC was just a spur of the moment add on but ultimately one of the better animated movies I've seen. It runs in the vein of Avatar meets Tinkerbell. Child, adult, male or female, this movie engages all. Intriguing, adventurous, sweet and visually stunning.

Epic is an entertaining kids movie that won't bore the adults watching. Like most CG animation, it looks fabulous and the 3D is excellent. It just didn't feel like there was anything original it it. Felt very familiar, almost like is was a sequel to something, but it isn't.

My 6 year old son drove me nuts for this movie while i was there looking at computers. I gave in and got this for him even though I never heard of it. He loves it and has watched it multiple times. Great family friendly movie!

It's nice having movies like Epic in between the flood of poorly developed titles with only blow them up action. Epic brings some good imagination and a story that you can follow. While not the best animated option out there. It is worthy to add to your collection.

We watch a lot of cartoons. I still have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. They both love this movie. Funny, but my 16 year old daughter also loves it. I haven't seen it yet, but have watched portions - kind of a Rio meets some Barbie Fairy movie.

Great lessons to be reminded of , being of help , relationships , sacrifice of self for someone you love , giving , celebrate victories together as worked together to achieve ! Great computer graphics ! Loving relatable charters . Laughed & cried !

Animation is where 3D shines, and Epic 3D is no different. Better yet, the 3D version (which includes the regular 2D blu-ray!) was on sale for $10 with free store pickup. The regular 2D blu-ray by itself is $15. Go figure.

EPIC is a computer animated adventure story in 3D aimed at a child audience. The animation and 3D effects are outstanding. The voice work of the cast is very good, but the story has nothing very original. It was amusing, but nothing I expect to watch again.
