Epic is a cool magical animated movie of a fight from Leafmen against evil Warroiers to save the planet

Epic is an interesting story about daughter going to live with her Dad after her Mother passed and how they were able to reunite. Liked it very much.

Great movie, my grandson loves it! It isn't a new release, but it is still an attention grabber.

The plot line and story are so well done that it is easy to forget that your are watching a cartoon movie instead of live action. It is important to have contrasting characters for good and bad to play off of each other, and this movie does a very good job of elevating both the good and the bad without sacrificing either side's story line. The DVD extras were a bit simplistic, but it is only a cartoon. I wish that it did have more features - I'm just not sure what I would recommend to see more of in the Extras. The DVD case itself is a bit flimsy, and bends while trying to remove the DVD from the case. Both complaints are very minor and really do not take anything away from my decision to purchase this movie, or the enjoyment of watching it. Overall - I really did enjoy the movie, and feel that you should add this one to your library.

Great movie for a cheap price and did not disappoint.

My partner and her daughter saw this movie last summer while I had to work, so we bought this for my daughter who was turning 5 years old this year. I think as a whole it might have been a little young for her but both me and my partner and her teenager enjoyed this movie. I thought the animation was spot on and that the story line fit well with the visual stimulation. While the story line was a typical good/evil archetype, it was presented very well here with the message that family comes first and that staying loyal to that family will win the day. Very entertaining and much better in my opinion that last year's blockbuster, Frozen.

Poor Blue Sky. Trying to roll with Pixar and Dreamworks and all I can say is, its very cute but they don't try too hard to be as good as their films. Ice Age was cute, but Robots, Ice Age 2-4, Rio 1 & 2 being fairly lackluster with my only favorite being Horton Hears a Who out of all those films. I thought that they have changed when they released Epic in theaters, but then I watched it. I liked it, thought it looked nice enough, some nice animation but then a growing sense of familiarity struck me. It kept growing and growing then I said, "This is Fern Gully!". It literally is, a shrunken hero (Gender reversed though with the girl being shrunken this time), forest setting, ecological based plot, animal friends and a good cast. Only difference is this is CG animation compared to 2D cel animation. Other than that, its an okay film, and only recommended for animation film fans or kids. The PQ is rather nice, going from digital format to digital format, retaining the detail and sharpness the film has, only in DVD format. The AQ is equally nice, but yet again, rendered down to DVD scale, but still active and lively. The extras are fairly mediocre with a few kid-based extras and a trailer rounding out the extras. Only buy if you want a modern day Fern Gully and if its $5-$10 and only then on 3D or 2D Blu Ray.

While this animated film was colorful and enchanting, it might be a bit long for smaller children. Smaller children might also miss the environmental themes portrayed. Other than that, it was a good story, especially if you enjoy fantasy.

EPIC was just a spur of the moment add on but ultimately one of the better animated movies I've seen. It runs in the vein of Avatar meets Tinkerbell. Child, adult, male or female, this movie engages all. Intriguing, adventurous, sweet and visually stunning.

My 6 year old son drove me nuts for this movie while i was there looking at computers. I gave in and got this for him even though I never heard of it. He loves it and has watched it multiple times. Great family friendly movie!

We watch a lot of cartoons. I still have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. They both love this movie. Funny, but my 16 year old daughter also loves it. I haven't seen it yet, but have watched portions - kind of a Rio meets some Barbie Fairy movie.

Great lessons to be reminded of , being of help , relationships , sacrifice of self for someone you love , giving , celebrate victories together as worked together to achieve ! Great computer graphics ! Loving relatable charters . Laughed & cried !

A well made movie made better by excellent voice acting (a trait overlooked in too many cases). I'm a sucker for good tales of Nature and how magical it is, even if I don't believe in tiny high-speed fairies waging war on equally tiny rot gremlins. Good family fun.

This movie is one of those great good versus evil stories... So creative and enjoyable... something you'll enjoy watching over and over again. :) Rates up there with "The Croods" and "Frozen"...

This was a realy cute movie, I really enjoyed the daughter and father connecting at the end of the movie after her mother had passed and she had to go live with her father since she didn't really know her father before. It's just a good family movie!

I totally enjoyed this movie about the tiny leaf people and the obsessed scientist whose life was to prove they existed. Another great movie to enjoy with your kids and grandkids.

I didn't like this film based on the trailer, but my wife insisted and I'm glad she did. It's a great film and surprisingly filled with more action. the title kind of is out of place here, but i still enjoyed it.

It was a very entertaining movie for my grandkids. Good graphics and story. There were a number of episodes which gave the kids time to take a break. It was very entertaining.
