Big performance from an all in one device

I was very surprised by this all in one device. What attracted me to this projector was the built in speaker, brightness, and smart features. A little pricey, but well worth the expense. The unit was packaged incredibly well and was easy to setup right out of the box. For the most part I let the machine just do its thing with auto focus and calibration, the only minor tweaks I did was to the brightness. I have yet to find a screen that fits the relatively small space, so for now I am projecting onto a white wall, no issues with clarity but a screen would provide a matte flat white surface as opposed to a textured wall. Sound is perfect for the room where the projector is, I imagine anything larger than a bedroom would require the use of an external speaker which could connect via Bluetooth. I’ve connected a Switch to the projector and the video games I’ve played so far look great with no lag. Overall incredibly happy with my purchase.

I cannot rave enough about the Epson EpiqVision Mini EF-22! This little powerhouse has completely transformed my movie nights. The picture quality is crisp, vibrant, and surprisingly sharp even on a large wall and the built-in Android TV makes streaming effortless. No need for extra devices or messy cords.
The sound quality is impressive for such a compact device, and the portability means I can take it from the living room to the backyard or even on weekend trips. Whether you’re watching Netflix, YouTube, or casting from your phone, it’s seamless and fast.
Setup took less than 5 minutes, and it looks sleek and modern in any space. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your home entertainment setup, this is hands-down the best projector in its class especially for the price. I got mine at Best Buy and would 100% buy it again.
Trust me, once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Perfect portable projector. Was considering a large TV for a spare room, got this instead. So much more versatile. Having a swivel stand is ingenious.
Pros: great picture, extremely quiet, does not get hot, has great sound from built in speakers.
Cons: Google Play interface is terribly slow and sluggish, Must have a very dark room to use,

Let me prefice this by saying before I bought this I had seen so many comparisons and reviews with this projector and others, and this one always came up dead last. But that being said, other projectors it was put up against were also at the minimum 1.5x the price or more, and not readily available (being, ordering online vs walking in store and picking it up same visit).
Despite all those reviews, watching them on a TV or phone or any screen in general, yes, it was a little discouraging to actually want this projector. But I didn't want to spend over $1000 on a projector. So I bit the bullet anyways and I'm really glad I did. I picked it up on sale for $850, plus a tripod with a flat stand on it for $25, so I was still within the budget.
Brightness and Picture;
The performance on this projector has been amazing. Even in a pretty bright room, things were still watchable. Yes, in daylight it's more washed out but still completely watchable. The autofocus and keystone is a great feature for quickly repositioning and angling the projector. You can always find tune the image sharpness and position as well as sometimes you can squeeze out a bit more focus after it auto focuses. The keystoning 9/10 times works perfectly and I almost never have to adjust image positioning. Brightness during the day is pretty good but at night is amazing. Being only 1000lumens blacks are not super washed out. And yes while this one while compared to others that are 2000lumens+, you really have to see it in person because it might just be good enough for you. On video it might seem like the lowest performing between others, but it still performs exceptionally well to put into perspective. So I can only imagine how much better the others would look, but you also will spend twice the money and it's easy to spend even more. Colors pop and look very good. There are additional color and picture mode settings as well to fine tune it to your liking (like warm and cooler tones, and just different color mappings all around). I also project right onto my wall, and my wall is painted grey. I believe in turn I do get more contrast in image while white would give more brightness. Something to keep in mind as well, what you're going to be projecting in to.
Sound;
I haven't used the build in audio as I connect it directly to my Bluetooth sound system. There is no latency or delay in sound. I can't speak on the built in speaker but from what others say it's decent enough if you crank it up high. But they're built in speakers. So I wouldn't expect cinema level sound. Speaking of sound it also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. The fan noise on it is basically non existent. It is so quiet you won't even notice it unless you put your ear right up on it. This thing is extremely silent that you won't even know it's on if you were just going based off of fan noise.
Android TV;
This one's important to address as many say Android TV is very laggy and janky. To a certain extent I can agree, but overtime after doing its firmware updates and a bit of use it has definitely gotten smoother overtime. It is nice to have it built in, all your favorite apps are there as well as Chromecast and screen mirroring. The remote is decent. Not back lit. But it is responsive.
Design;
It's on a swivel, and it's decently weighty. You'll be able to put this thing anywhere and fine tune the positioning. Eventually I'd like to ceiling mount mine, which I believe for this one even having a build in stand, is possible. The paint on the body and front feels and looks very high quality, almost as if it has a pearl/metallic flake to it. It's very pretty, the design is top notch.
Gaming;
I have not used it at all for gaming so I can't speak on delay. I'm sure quality will be good, but I don't know about delay if any.
Extra side thoughts;
Being a laser projector you get the benefit of a very long lasting bulb life without diminishing quality overtime. Regular lamp bulbs technically degrade as soon as you start using it. Slowly but surely. Laser technology will last a long time and will not degrade in brightness or quality. Basically it will just stop working at the end of its life but until then it will perform the same as it did from day one. The base of it is pretty big, so if you're planning on putting it on a wall shelf, make sure you get a decent sized one. Mine was too narrow so I use the tripod which has a flat stand on top. I still need to research how to ceiling mount it as well. If you can pick it up on sale that's even better but I would say $1000 is a fair asking price for regular MSRP. You do get a lot, with great performance in a good looking piece of technology. I believe if you're on the fence, give it a try, because it might just be enough for you, even if you're trying to produce a very large screen. I'm glad those other reviews didn't complely discourage me because this certainly is a great projector and it performs well for the money.

Excellent quality, function and perfect fit.. It is definitely worth your purchase.. it is also practical to move anywhere in the home or wherever you want to take it, the quality and sharpness of the projection is perfect. The audio is fine for people who want peace of mind but if you want something louder you can always use a speaker. I love this project, it makes no noise like some others, and its taman setting is like you were really in the movies. Recommended

Projectors aren’t anything new but making them portable and easy to setup is what this EpiqVision Mini is all about. Love that I can use it in my home office during the day and have movie night in my kids room without hassle of a normal projector.
Pros:
• Automatic keystone and focus
• Speedy operating system
• Fantastic built in speakers
• Laser with no bulbs to replace
Cons:
• No lens cover
• Spendy for 1080P
• Good automatic keystone and focus but doesn’t level
This projector is meant to be portable and easy to setup for family movie night in any room. I can easily setup and project a 150” screen within minutes. First time setting up will take about 10 minutes or so to login to your wifi router, update to the latest firmware and login to your google account for all the features. After initial setup, startups and watching TV can be within 30 seconds with the speedy processor and laser light.
I’m very pleased with the overall performance. I was skeptical at the 1080p resolution in the world of 4k but for the purpose as a family traveling projector, 1080p to keep the costs down is worth it. Do I really need to watch kid movies at 4k? Do I really need 4k when projecting a football game on my textured garage door during block parties? The answer is…no….no one will even notice….besides pixel peepers. Projecting onto lighter neutral-colored walls is ideal but not 100% necessary for this mini projector. I have a dedicated projector screen in my basement home theater and while this mini projector does look best on it, it’s not necessary as family movie nights aren’t about color accuracy or crazy contrast levels. With that said, the colors are fantastic and vibrant for a portable and tiny projector.
Portability and the ease of setup is what makes this Epson stand out from the rest. Light weight at under 7lbs, my kids can easily move it from room-to-room. Easy to setup too as most of the setup is automatic. Just power on and within 10 seconds, you will have a bright screen (bright lasers) that’s fully focused and keystone corrected. The automatic keystone also can automatically adjust screen size to not overlap doors or picture frames on your wall. Besides being light weight and easy to setup, the projector also auto-dims if it detects someone walking in front of the projector making it super safe for family use. Also not hot after hours of use.
The built-in speakers and speedy processor make this a complete package. The built-in speakers are dual 5w speakers and plenty loud for indoor use but can add a Bluetooth speaker if you desire even louder speakers when you’re outside. The processor is snappy and runs on Google TV. The apps you can download from the google play store are fast and lag free. I run YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV and regular YouTube without any lag. You can even setup a child profile so upon startup, selecting your child’s profile will limit the streaming apps to kid friendly apps that’s parent approved.
In summary, this projector is made by an industry leader, Epson, that’s meant to be portable and with a no-fuss setup. It’s almost perfect with just a few gripes. I wish it came with a lens cover so my kids can keep their smudgy fingers off the lens when moving. And lastly, does not include a carrying case. You can however purchase one separately off their website. The portability and quality are fantastic but don’t expect miracles. At just 1000 lumens, plenty bright for dim to lightly lit rooms but hard to see in bright, day lit rooms. 10 out 10 will recommend.

Projector looks great. Adjusts pretty well.
My only complaint is the apps and software. Apps are really slow. Anything streamed is delayed. Live games are no good. I would suggest buying an Apple TV to connect to it. It was my solution to have a a solid view.
Having Bluetooth is a plus on this device.

Big upgrades for portable projectors.

The Epson Mini EF22 turned out to be a great portable projector. It offers a nice bright picture that you will notice watching a movie outside.
Coming from a Samsung Freestyle 2 projector that had an output of 250 lumens, the Epson outputs at 1000 lumens. I noticed a much brighter picture even with the ambient light of the background. Even with a brighter output, I did not even notice the fan noise.
Here are some of the picture quality modes:
Dynamic: brightest of the picture modes, but color contrast takes a slight hit.
Vivid: my default one since it’s bright enough for a dark room and deeper colors.
Natural: take it as the eco mode from your tv. The picture does look dimmer since the brightness is lowered down.
Cinema: Hard to differentiate between Cinema and Natural mode. Maybe colors are deeper.
Custom: allows you to adjust the contrast, sharpness, color gain, and gamma.
To stream media or download an app, it is done through Google Tv. There are plenty of apps to download. You will be required to sign in with a Google account. A good thing about this is that it backs up and syncs your settings whenever you sign in to a new device. There are some performance hiccups here and there. You will especially notice it whenever you’re viewing something and trying to adjust the settings. When you hit the settings button, there is a 2-3 second pause before the menu sidebar pops out. It does get annoying if you’re creating a custom picture and trying to go back and forth with the picture to see the results. Other than that, everything else works fine.
For sound output, it does have 2 internal speakers for a rated output of 5W each. It does get loud enough for a bedroom and outdoor setting. Bluetooth is another option to connect to a Bluetooth speaker or a soundbar with the audio output jack from the back.
In the back, you have a full-size HDMI port to connect other devices like a game console. This is great since you won’t need to buy an HDMI adapter.
Overall, this is an excellent projector to consider, even with the other portable projectors that price lower than this. The big upgrade you get is a much brighter picture. The EF21 model has all the features except for the swivel. Making it even a better value to consider. The only drawback is the Google Tv performance. Consider this one if you’re looking for a portable projector with a bright picture.

This is my second Epson projector, and the EF22 is worth the upgrade. Small, portable, discreet. I wanted a projector versus TV in my bedroom, with space being limited, and also being on the second floor in my home, I wanted something I could pick up and go without having to worry about weight and. . . well a TV panel.
The EF22 fit all the checkmarks:
A bright and colorful projection, compared to my old Epson, the colors are more vivid and TV shows look amazing on it.
Portability: I have a projector stand to elevate it off the ground but the swivel stand and tilt ability solve the rest of any leveling issues - a HUGE upgrade from my last projector that had a basic tilt feature
EASY set up - The EF22 has the ability to adjust the picture automatically per screen size using a built in camera, and I don’t have to spend minutes setting keystones up. This is BY FAR my favorite feature.
The unit came in a nice dark blue color, and has a power cord and remote WITH voice control by Google - and while I am in the Apple ecosystem, Google integrates with my smart home tech just fine - but the remote itself makes it easy to search for shows, navigate menus and jump to your favorite streaming apps.
The sound quality is pretty good for such a small form factor - powered by Dolby audio, the EF22 does music and voice very well.
It has a HDMI port so that I can eventually dock my handheld gaming system to it which is something I am looking forward to.
Overall I have no complaints about this project, Epson has always been a great manufacturer of projectors.

📦 UNBOXING:
Inside the box of the Epson EpiqVision Mini EF22 is the projector, a remote control, a set of AAA batteries, a power adapter, and the quick start guide. It was packaged securely so I wouldn’t personally be worried about damage during shipping.
💪 BUILD:
The EF22 is surprisingly small, especially compared to my other Epson projectors. That’s likely thanks to this model using laser projection instead of a lamp. The EF22 features a 360 degree rotating stand and a vertically adjustable tilt, but doesn’t have a horizontal level should your table surface be unleveled. But you should be able to use the keystone in software to compensate.
However, the fact that the EF22 can tilt a whopping 150 degrees vertically means you’ll have quite a bit of flexibility if you need to place it on a low table or a high bookshelf. The EF22 is capable of projecting up to the ceiling, but the ports on the back will be obstructed as a result. You can otherwise opt to connect the EF22 to a tripod that uses 1/4-20UNC fixed screws, should you decide to go that route.
On the front of the unit is a camera and remote receiver, projector lens and sensor. The camera and sensor are used to adjust the shape and focus of the projection.
On the rear of the EF22 is the power button, service port, headphone jack, LED status indicator, USB-A port for peripherals supported by Google TV, and an HDMI (ARC) port with support for HDCP 2.3. Under that is the built-in stereo 2x 5W speakers with a fabric cover.
As for the remote, it’s pretty simple, but does have some questionable quirks. For one, I’m confused as to why there isn’t a dedicated mute button on the remote; I found myself wanting to mute some content briefly, and it simply takes way too much time to go from even 50% volume to 0%. Also, it’s a bit puzzling why there’s a dedicated TV button that switches to the HDMI source and a source search button when there are only two options—Google TV or the HDMI input. To me, it would make the most sense to have one button that instantly toggles between the two sources.
🛠️ SETUP:
Setup was simple, overall. Since I imagine folks will want to use this portably, I tested from a higher up projection location that was mildly off-axis from the screen, as well as a lower height projection that was off-axis from the center of the screen.
For a perfectly straight projection, you can expect at the minimum a 25 inch throw distance will yield a 30 inch screen, and a 133 inch throw distance will yield a 150” screen. But at off-axis angles, you can expect these to shrink due to keystoning.
Once you find your placement, hold the power button to turn it on, and pretty quickly you’ll begin seeing the projection, and you’ll have the option to set up the Google TV OS or use it as a basic projector. I set up Google TV, and in my experience, it’s definitely a slower process including for the first software update, and that’s likely due to Epson using lower-end hardware for the Google TV OS. After some time, you’ll enter the Google TV experience, and that’s when you’ll be able to make adjustments to the screen projection via the dedicated projector settings button.
From there, you have options to auto focus or manually focus the lens, and an auto keystone or manual keystone. In my experience, the auto focus was quite good, and the manual focus can help make additional adjustments to ensure a crisp image. Meanwhile, I did find that the auto keystone was not always great. If your projection isn’t too far off-axis, then it can be a good starting point, but it’s likely you’ll want to perform the manual keystone afterwards. In my experience, the keystone works quite well—with each corner supporting vertical and horizontal positioning. And the image can be zoomed and panned within the projection.
I also tested it with a projector screen with black borders, and the Screen Fit capability was exceptionally good at automatically fitting the image to the screen without the need for manual keystoning.
🧠 SOFTWARE:
The Google TV experience is not the most fluid, but also not the worst I’ve experienced. However, I have experienced some unreliability with the WiFi connection upon startup, and that’s something I’ve seen more often across a number of Google TV systems. There’s also only 8.9GB of storage onboard, which should be enough to store some apps, but I would advise against downloading too much offline content as it could slow down the system.
📽️ IMAGE:
The EF22 projects a 1080p 60Hz image, and while it’s not as crisp as my 4K projectors, I think it’s good for its portable use case. Given its brightness limit of 1000 lumens, it doesn’t get particularly bright, so it’s most effective in darker environments. You can achieve a more optimal image against a screen, but projecting against a white wall can also yield a good experience for casual use.
While the EF22 is designed to project to 150”, I was able to project a 200” image from about 170” away and off-axis. I didn’t have any issues focusing the image, but the image lost quite a bit of brightness, so I’d only consider doing this if you have a darker environment and are okay with a loss of brightness. One thing I did to achieve more perceived brightness at this throw distance is switching from the default “Vivid” picture mode to the “Dynamic” picture mode.
🔊 SOUND:
The stereo 2x 5W speakers are surprisingly clear and loud. I’ve usually been happy with about 50% volume level. Going up to 100% will yield some audible compression and a minimal amount of distortion, but overall I found that it was decent for casual use.
You can also use it as a standalone Bluetooth Speaker by entering the Projector settings menu from the remote, but at louder volumes, I don’t think it’s particularly great for music as the compression becomes much more egregious and makes my music sound hollow.
😴 HEAT & NOISE:
The EF22’s fan is incredibly quiet when it’s powered on. To me, it’s a very gentle whirr of noise with a low dissipation of ambient heat. When you’re playing audio through the speaker, you won’t be able to hear the fan noise. But when no sound is playing, it’s very quiet—so you won’t have issues speaking over it if you decide to use it for something like office presentations.
🧐 CONCLUSION:
Overall, I think the Epson EpiqVision Mini EF22 Smart Laser Projector is good as a portable 1080p projector, although the Google TV experience is slower than I’d like. A large screen projection will yield insufficient brightness in well-lit environments, so your mileage may vary based on the size of the projection. You will get the most out of the EF22 if you plan to use it in light-controlled environments that you can make quite dim or dark. But there’s no denying that it’s very portable and easy to set up wherever you take it thanks to its swiveling base and 150 degree tilt.

I have had several Epson projectors over the years and if you want the best you buy epson as they been doing this for many years. This epiqvision mini projector is a great bang for you buck at the msrp and even better if on sale. While this unit might only be 1080p FHD, the picture quality is amazing I was skeptical if it would compete with my epson 3800 4K projector and man it’s crystal clear. Now i didn’t stretch the image past 100 inches. And I’m mainly speaking to the picture quality on our portable screen that is 75 inches(insignia brand screen). Because this is a laser light source with the 3 lcd chip it out outputs vibrant colors and very good brightness even tho it’s only rated as 1000 lumens. Laser is the way to go, hands down. HDR content looks amazing obviously vs sdr but still sdr looks good. Speakers are good for sure but not great- bass is solid and mids are very good but the highs are not great and the louder you raise the volume it gets distorted a bit and it’s understandable for the size of this projector. I chose to pair Bluetooth speakers to get better sound and that’s perfect for me. The design is very nice and the base is very cool as well but it can move easily if you don’t give the wire enough slack. Not a huge deal but because this is portable it can become a minor annoyance. Another great thing I love is that this projector does not get hot as all, literally at all and that’s a common problem with projectors unfortunately. That’s most likely due the the laser light source and the size. Google tv is good and I have several Google tvs in my house. You either love it or you don’t. I do and while it isn’t as smooth on the projector (probably due to having a weaker processor) it’s not bad. WiFi connection is great and didnt have any drops while watching movies in our back yard, I was a little worried. One huge selling point to these newer projectors is the auto screen adjustments and I have to say they actually work better than I expected, but not without issues! I’m used to the manual focus on my older 4k projector. Auto focus is the best,auto keystone is good but not great all the time and the fit screen is just ok, it definitely works but you may have to try several times and move the projector around a few inch or so. Not a big deal but I wish it was perfect. The one thing I don’t like is that you can’t focus the light output area like a manual projector and you sometimes get light outside the screen. Now I may be doing something wrong but I’m not sure. Auto adjustments are great but maybe I’m old school. I tried gaming on it with my Nintendo switch and it looked beautiful and the response time and Input lag seemed very smooth and quick. Also make sure you update the projector/OS to get the best performance. Out of the best experience was rough until I updated. Those are minor issues when you think about how beautiful the picture quality is and how portable it is plus it’s very reasonably priced 1080p or not. My wife and kids are soo happy I got this and now our weekends will be ones to remember. See my pictures below! Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

I have used and owned several portable projectors over the years, some have been good, others weren't bright enough to use except in complete darkness. The Epson Epizvision mini EF22 is a laser projecor that can be used just about anyplace except maybe in direct sunlight. The Epson Epiqvision EF22 is considered a portable projector. It is extremely easy to move this unit from one room to another or take outside for parties or camping trips. This model has the built in stand that makes it super easy to adjust and aim at a screen or sheet or wall or whatever you plan to cast your video on. This unit, mainly because of the stand, is not what I would consider portable enough to take to a meeting or cary around with you in a bag. This unit is just to bulky and a bit heavy. But I want to emphasize this is perfect for living spaces and conference rooms, however. One of my favorite things about this unit (besides the brightness and picture quality) is built in google TV. When you first turn on the projector you will follow the steps on the screen to connect to a google home account. Once this is accomplished, you will choose the streaming apps you use and then you will be automatically signed into each account. Setup is very easy and can be done just by pointing the projector at a wall. The projecor is also able to compensate automatically for different angles and elevations so that you don't find yourself trying to adjust the Epson manually to get a perfect screen. If you need to project somenthing other than streaming apps, there is a HDMI input that allows you to connect a lapton (or other device) for presentations and there is also a headphone jack and a USB input. The Epson EF22 has great sound for a portable projection unit, but can also be connected to external speakers through the headphone jack or bluetooth. The unit also comes with a full function remote to make using the Epson even more simple.The picture is bright and the laser is clear and sharp. The laser projector can cast a full HD video up to 150 inches in size. I can't say enough good things about my experience so far. If you are in the market for a portable projector and are not interested in something that has to slip into a case, then this is a great unit to add to your list.

**There's a new mini star in the house and i mean it! I have been using the Mini Epiqvision EF22 from Epson for a week now and it's been great (portable but mighty)!**
- I love the swivel stand that also allow for tilt movement, it really makes it easy to set it up almost anywhere and makes it so much easier to watch something on the ceiling while in bed.
- The setup was super easy and it requires to download the GoogleHome app and the rest it's super intuitive no problems found there, you should be up and running in few minutes!
- Built quality of this projector is top notch! Metal frame and high quality materials makes this Epson mini projector portable yet sturdy. And running on Google platform it is incredible powerful in terms of technology /connectivity!
- Sound whit-in it's more then what i need. I found it amazing for how small this thing is to offer Dolby audio and it has a great range of audio either when i watched sports or a movie, it didn't need any external source the built in speaker was more then enough in any situation but it has great Bluetooth connectivity in case you want to go all out.
- Picture quality it's nice and bright at 1000nits peak at FullHd resolution sourced by laser projection with 3LCD. It's HDR capable and the color reproduction it's on point. Also the smoothness of the image even when watching sports it was impressive.
It's been great couple of nights with different usage scenarios where i really enjoyed the mightiness and portability of the EpiqVision EF22 and i can't wait for the warm weather to take it outside.

I was in the market for a projector and found this Epson Brand Projector. Very easy to setup from the box. The unit itself is not heavy but it stands well. The system runs on google play so you can download your favorite apps to watch your favorite movies or shows. The image automatically adjusts as you place the image onto any screen. The color is very vibrant and the brightness is very impressive. The images are very sharp. It does not look faded or dull. The projector comes with built in speakers. Don't expect a surround sound with a lot of base. But the sound is great enough to enjoy with any content from the projector. The projector rotates 360 degrees and can project straight up to the ceiling. The rear of the unit has ports to connect via HDM(ARC), USB-A, and USB Mini. It even has a headphone jack. The unit comes with a remote control with shortcut buttons for YouTube, prime video, and Netflix. Overall, this is a great projector unit that delivers. It can be placed anywhere to enjoy at any family gathering or with friends.

I have been on a quest to find a lightweight, portable projector that I could use both in my living room with my stationary, motorized Elite Spectrum screen, and that also could be easily packed outside for impromptu summertime movies and sports watching in the yard. I wanted a bright image that didn't sacrifice color accuracy, built in speakers for standalone use while still offering HDMI eARC for use with my indoor surround system. Finally, I am a big fan of Google TV's UI and app store so that I didn't have to incorporate a streaming device in order to watch content. I feel like Epson saw my wish-list and created the EF22, EpiqVision Mini portable smart laser projector just for me!
The projector is only 1080p but it offers 1000 lumens of brightness and supports HDR. The autofocus and keystone adjustments work pretty well but occasionally get stumped and have to be adjusted manually. I have projected images on plain white walls in my house as well as on my projector screen. I find the quality to be completely acceptable in both cases with the screen offering the best results of course.
The EF22 offers surprisingly good audio from its built in speakers and can decode Dolby audio too. Perfect for outdoor use where I would rather not pack speakers around although it does support that option!
Setup was straight forward but took a little extra time in order to get Google TV loaded and configured and download and install a firmware update as well. Adjusting the image was mostly automatic and I was watching my favorite streaming apps almost immediately. Epson provides a comprehensive suite of options to fine tune your experience via the system icon. I found pairing and interacting with remote to be flawless and very familiar to use since it follows the layout of my other Google devices.
I watched content from YT, Disney+, Prime and others. I also loaded KODI and watched some movies from my library. Everything looked and sounded good! In a light controlled room, projected on a good screen I was totally immersed!
A few observations - I have ordered the custom carrying case from Epson to make it easier and safer to pack the projector around. Also, as I mentioned earlier, you probably will need to tweak the focus and keystone depending on the placement of your projector and the surface you are projecting on but it is very easy to do.
If, like me, you are looking for a convenient portable solution for watching your media without having to make too many compromises, make sure to take a good look at the EF22!

I couldn’t be happier with my Epson EF22—it’s everything I wanted in a portable projector and more. From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by the sleek design and vibrant blue finish. It looks great in any room and feels premium.
Stunning Picture Quality
The 1080p resolution with HDR makes movies and shows pop with color and clarity. Even in moderately lit rooms, the 1,000 lumens brightness holds up surprisingly well. The 3LCD tech means no rainbow effect—just smooth, natural visuals every time.
Streaming Made Simple
Google TV is built-in, so I didn’t need to plug in anything extra. Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, it’s all there and super easy to navigate. I love that I can use voice search with the remote—it’s fast and responsive.
Surprisingly Good Sound
The built-in speakers are way better than I expected. Loud, clear, and perfect for casual viewing. I still use my Bluetooth speaker for movie nights, but for quick shows or background music, the EF22 handles it beautifully.
Portable & User-Friendly
Setup is a breeze. I’ve moved it between rooms and even taken it to a friend’s place for a backyard movie night. It’s lightweight, and the swivel stand makes positioning effortless.
Final Thoughts
This projector has completely changed how I watch content. It’s stylish, smart, and powerful for its size. Whether it’s binge-watching shows, hosting movie nights, or just streaming music videos, the EF22 delivers every time.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a compact, all-in-one projector that doesn’t compromise on quality. Epson nailed it!
