I bought this after researching a few different projectors and 70inch tv. Well, the 70inch tv was >$2,500 so that was out of the question! I need to get something under <$1K so I settled on the projector and boy I am happy I did! (I already have 50" plasma anyways!) I wanted to purchase the projector through BestBuy and not Epson because BB has the best and cheapest warranties. (This is an important point but I will get to this later...) I originally had a Cinego which was an all-in-one projector (with DVD player included and subwoofer) from some no name company that was contracted by Radioshack. I paid $800.00 in 2006. Within maybe 2 years it started having problems with the fan and cooling mechanism. It would shut off after it got too hot and I had to put an external fan on it. Eventually, I couldn't even get through an entire movie without it shutting off!!! Anyways, the product was discontinued and there was virtually no tech support. I really wanted to get it fixed but I realized it would be more cost effective to get a new one. So that's what I did! (October, 2011) This Epson PowerLite is exactly the right one with DVD player, HD quality, all-in-one, But the best part is that it's not a no name company and I got the warranty for 4 years for $60 through BB! But the best part is that I used an in-store coupon that was 10% off and it saved me $90. In essence paying for the warranty and then some! I watch movies on it now all the time! The picture quality is awesome. Even when it is day time it still illuminates the wall nicely. I literally project it on the entire wall and the picture makes my 50" plasma look small. I think the picture is almost 200" maybe more!!!! (Check out the pic I uploaded!!!) At some point I had to make the picture smaller because it was so big it made me dizzy! The other great thing about it is that it is portable. I easily move my setup to the bedroom and can project it on the wall in there. Better than moving 50' or 70' tv!!! One recent update, I just bought a new "toy" for my projector just to see what else I could project. I got Sony WiFi 3-D Blu-Ray player (see the other tagged product) and hooked it up with HDMI cable. Now my setup is amazing especially since I plugged in external speakers with a subwoofer to it. So far I have watched Avatar on BR (check out the pic!!!) and streamed a Netflix movie through the BR player. The projector picked up the other source signal very easily and the picture quality of Netflix was better on the projector than through the computer onto the 50' tv. In conclusion, this thing blows my old projector out of the water! Works great and even it breaks I am covered! I only wish the DVD player was Blu-Ray and that it had 3-D capabilities. (But it would probably cost twice or three times as much as it does now!) So for the price I am very happy with this purchase! I highly recommend this projector!!! :D

Hard to find any reviews on this but it went on sale and I took a chance. Picture quality is very good-as good as my sony HDTV. It does have a slight screen door effect only during bright daylight scenes and only if you are looking for it. Otherwise negligable. The sound is good enough and loud enough for games and movies. My wife loves it due to the all in one feature and no electric cords all over. We did hook up a bluray dvd player to it, but I honestly can't tell that much of an improvement over the HD quality the projector already has. You also can not beat the price for the quality. I bought a 100" electric fava screen from ebay for $179 and we are set. We were worried about putting the projector in our "playroom" due to the wall of windows and sunlight the room gets. Not a problem for this projector. Works great in a sunlit room. We do have room darkening shades for the best movie viewing. The only cons for me is there is no coax cable input. We do not use it to watch TV though so not a problem. Happy after over 7 mos of use so far.....

This item has high quality picture and sound. The portability perfectly fits my organization's needs and the setup is really simple.

I loved this projector. I want best buy to carry it again so I can get another one. Epson still makes it, as well as the Movie Mate projector. Please Best Buy sell this through your website again. Not just through another dealer.

We bought this projector for outdoor movie night with our kids. It is amazing. We puchursed a hugh blowup screen from Target and DJ speakers from a music store. We connect my computer to the projector to watch DVDs or NetFlix. The kids and adults love it.

We were pleasantly surprised on the portability, picture & sound of this unit. Instructions for set up was easy & quick.

Using this projector for church programs with 10 to 50 people. Easy to set up and use. Sound is good for the size speakers. No complaints.

Very easy set up. Works great for meetings! There is an option for a password but I could not get it to work.

Bought this for my husband to show his dvd's. He is computer challenged so this was the perfect projector for him. He used it Christmas day with his dvd's and plugging in my sisters camera. He said it was the best gift ever.

The image had a halo around it and the keystone not only straightened the sides of the image, but shortened the vertical size considerably. We have an Optoma DV11 which seems to be highly superior except for lumen output.

This is a great projector but when I used it with a computer, the video was not heard with projector. Also it's heavy. Other than that, it is wonderful. It has a wonderful image.
