Equals is a DirecTV Cinema Exclusive that was then sent straight to DVD. Great Science Fiction movie similar in plot with The Classics THX-1138 and Logans Run and the modern take from The Island. Don't ignore this movie just because it was not released in theaters.

not as good as trailers make it out to be, yeah I bought this one on a whim. As I like sci-fi. The trailers looked good, but when watching, the story is really dreary, or rather boring and takes quite some time to get any decent value until at least 3/4 of the way through. I would not recommend this on a whim, as I did. You would be better off letting a friend take the fall on the purchase.

While this is a movie that starts out a bit slow it does get better. You have to remember that these people cant show emotion so that's why it appears to be a bit slow maybe even boring for some. But I feel the actors did an exelent job in capturing exactly that ... a person with no emotions. I feel that's hard to do. But it wasn't a movie that I would watch twice.

I really enjoyed every minute. Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart were great but then they always are. The acting was so good that complaints about not much dialogue is ridiculous. Not many words are necessary.

I've always said Kristen Stewart couldn't do a movie that involves a lot of emotion, so putting her in a movie about people who don't have them is perfect. I love it! Very original movie.

It's your typical no emoting dystopia movie. Hoult and Stewart pull decent performances. Guy Pierce does great with what he has.

I'm such a big fan of this director and thinks he really knows how to do interesting new takes on the romance genre.

I was disappointed in this movie. I respected a better movie with Kristen Stewart in it. The movie did have a decent story lines, but not one I cared for.
