Most likely the worst thermometer we've used!
We place it in the meat and it immediately drops downward-why? So we then wait for it to go back up and if we're lucky, it might.
We finally got tired of waiting for it's up and down cycle and borrowed a neighbor's thermometer (a different brand). His is a trusted brand and lo & behold, the Escali is off by more than 10 degrees!
It shouldn't be this difficult.
It has one job to do.
Anyway, we contacted Escali and are waiting to see if they'll repair or replace.
You get what you pay for (purchased on a Daily Deal for $19.99) and now it's down to $13.99 (as of 10/05/21).
