This is a average guys review of the Eufy WIFI-Bluetooth smart lock. After purchasing top brands like Schlage, Kwikset, Google, and even a few off brands, and returning all of them, even throwing some in the garbage, I can confidentially say this unit does exactly what it says it will do!! My 5 star review is based on this unit doing exactly what is states it can and will do. It falls short on a few minor items, but, those few points Eufy doesn’t state they will do. Thus, my review is based on it does 100% of what they state it will do. -Easy installation, easy setup on the app -It has auto locked 100% of the time without fail -It has unlocked both by fingerprint scan and code entry 100% of the time -Battery life is good, rechargeable battery is a plus -App is easy to use, integrated with Alexa easily -Stylish modern look -Notifications of door unlocking and locking 100% of the time This is our 3rd unit, installed first unit about 3 months ago, and decided to buy 2 more for back door and side door. Haven’t had to charge the battery on the first unit yet. What I would have been nice to have on this unit, would be a sensor that shows the door isn’t closed. But, it didn’t state that it did, so to me that is not part of my rating on this unit. In short, it’s a winner!!

Excellent Lock! Easy to install. Lots of options when setting it up for use to fit your needs. Fingerprint reader works great and is the only way you’ll use to lock and unlock the door. Have only used the key and key pad to test it. Rechargeable battery is a big plus which is a must being it’s a WiFi lock. The app is easy to use and is the same one as the Eufy cameras I have installed. The only downside is it’s not Apple HomeKit enabled. I don’t understand why because the Eufy cameras are and it’s the same app. It’s not a big deal breaker. This lock is a big upgrade from the August lock it replaced.

To complement the new lock, I also decided to paint my front door black. The combination of the eufy Smart Lock and the freshly painted door has transformed the entire look and feel of my entryway. Overall, my experience with Best Buy and the eufy Smart Lock Wi-Fi Replacement Deadbolt has been exceptional. Don’t do it. Eufy might have an excellent product line, but this smart deadbolt is a pain in the rear if you wanna get inside your house quickly- or at least faster than old school way of using a key. That’s the biggest complaint I have about it aside from cost. App is great. Battery life is great. Looks are great. Adding/removing authorized people is easy. Installation was normal when compared to installing other smart dead bolts on the market. However… the interface on the deadbolt itself is horrible. You have to press either the keypad or fingerprint scanner multiple times for it to “wake up.” Fingerprint scanner is tiny which usually forces me to press my finger on it several times in order to unlock my door-my hands are average sized. Not only that, it’s flat. The ergonomics on these fingerprint scanners on most deadbolts never actually take into account how people stand, how close lock is to threshold, and how low lock is compared to human body. The scanner should be more at an angle rather than flat, and much larger in general. I doubt the scanner face is larger than a dime. Aside from how long it takes to “wake up” the keypad or scanner, this product is good. I will say that since these types of locks have been around for quite some time now, the average price should honestly be no more than $120-I got lucky and bought during a sale, I suggest you do the same and not pay full retail.

I've been looking at smart locks over the past few years. After reading a number of professional reviews, I made the jump to purchase one while BB had it on sale. The installation was very easy and setting up the lock in the app was quite simple. No need to give the dog sitter a key. They have access via PIN and finger print reader.

Omg when I brought this I thought it was overpriced but it’s worth every penny the fact that I can switch up from the key to the code to the fingerprint depending how I feel that day lol and I it’s so easy to put on I didn’t have to drill any holes because I took out a similar lock(minus the fingerprint) you can add up to 100 people and you can give access codes that expires honestly I would buy this again if I had above door but I live in an apt building and it comes with 2 keys by the way

Upgrading from a Yale lock that died. I thought I’d miss the Auto Unlock feature that Yale offers, but the fingerprint unlock is really easy to use, the finger print reader could be better, sometimes it takes a few tries, but when it works it’s very fast! I also like that it comes with a giant rechargeable battery, no more buying batteries! Has a keyhole that’s hidden behind a door. I also like that I can limit the auto lock feature to a certain time of day so it auto locks in the evening, but not during the day.

I love this lock! The finger print scanner is pretty awesome -does take a few seconds to read it but responds fairly quickly. Does also have the timed automatic lock, which is nice if you happen to forget to lock it before leaving. I just wished it had the automatic unlocking when you get near. It was also very easy to setup, and the app is very user friendly. Overall it’s a great device and would highly recommend.

I was a little skeptical of switching to a smart deadbolt, but after using it for almost 3 months I wouldn’t switch back. Not having to worry about keys to fumble with, plus the kids don’t have to worry about losing house keys. Most importantly, my tech illiterate wife loves it lol so that’s a win within itself.

This is my first smart door lock. So far I am very impressed. The best feature for me to use is the finger print sensor to lock and unlock the door. The instructions to install helped tremendously. If you need a video showing the installation, EUFY and other YouTube subscribers have a how to video online. The Eufy app is easy to use. I have also added the eufy outdoor cameras, which I highly recommend. There has been a couple of times where the app would not lock the door. But that is no reason for me to bring the overall rating to 4. I would definitely purchase again.

4 reasons I love this lock: 1 - Easy install - it took less than 10 minutes to install. 2 - Multiple options to unlock the door. 3 - Weather resistant - Works flawlessly even through Buffalo NY snow storms. 4 - Responsive key pad Cons 1 - The auto locks when the door is open. For a lock this expensive you would expect it would have a sensor that detects the door is open and notify a you once it is open. 2 - It comes with a rechargeable battery but I cannot find a way to purchase a replacement battery. I like having extra battery’s on hand for emergency’s.

Excellent performance, good wifi connectivity and superb app control. The lock itself is fast at locking and unlocking. The audible alarm when locking and unlocking allows anyone inside to hear assuming your are within earshot. You can control locking and unlocking from the app, manually, with the keys that it comes with or you can set it up to auto lock based on a defined time set by you through the app. I have mine setup at 30 seconds and I love that function because my kids always leave the door unlocked. The codes and fingerprint function are very accurate and fast responding. I can have all ten fingers registered if I want to per registered person and I can even share with other users through the app. I prefer to register each user. You can also set it to give you notification when it is locked and unlocked manually or it happened automatically. You can set temporary password(s) for guests. The hideous black color can be a deterrent to some folks and rightfully so, it is ugly! They should make skins for it or different colors. My biggest problem is the proprietary key! Why can't I rekey it an use my existing key? It is annoying having to add another key to my keyring!

I like the flexibility of using a code, my thumb (or other finger), the app, a physical key and our Amazon Echo to lock and unlock the door. The ability to assign multiple codes means I can give a code to the neighbor when we are away. And the ability to schedule access means I can limit access of our guest, or family member codes. It integrates well with my other Eufy products like my doorbell and cameras. I like the push button locking when we exit. I can go on a walk, locking the door, without having to carry my keys. The battery means if the power goes out, we can still open it. Having the option to use a microusb power bank if we are out and the eufy's battery dies is also a plus. The Wifi and app connectivity make it easy to check if we locked the door, and even have our Amazon Echo lock and unlock the door. My negatives are... the battery needs to be charged about every six months or so, and it does take time to do so. I suggest taking the battery it off the door lock before you go to bed, and leave it plugged in overnight. The physical keys are unique, and can not be duplicated. You get 5 keys, so don't lose them. Our door was painted AFTER the Schlage deadbolt was put on, and the Eufy didn't completely cover the unpainted area. While the black looks great on its own, the fact that we replaced the lock from our existing Schlage handle/deadbolt kit, it looks a little odd with the handle being satin nickel and the eufy lock/keypad being black.

Really good lock. Bought a Yale hours before trying to put together and ofcourse one of the screws didn't go all the way in. Pulling my hair out for over an hour and went back to BB and got this instead. Installed in less than 10 mins and does everything our family needs. You can open it with a key (it came with 5!), touch pad, finger print, app and we also use Alexa. Got it on sale and to me, its worth every penny.

The lock was east to install. The app is easy to use and setup. The fingerprint reader reads your print the first time. The features it offers are excellent.

Great lock and fullfills the needs of most families from Mom, Dad, Kids to grandparents. The Eufy has the ability to be controlled via finger print, wifi (when dad forgets which finger he used), pin or code to old fashion key for nana. Install was a breeze and the lock maechanism and control are top notch. I highly recommend this for most homeowners but for some it could be overkill and saving a few bucks and going with the model down would be more than enough.

I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a easy install and setup. It’s been more than a year with no issues. Allows you to control lock from any where so long you set it up correct with your home WiFi. Best off all there are no extra fees involved. The app lets you also send codes for when your not home so people that need to access your home have a one time code. Truly the best on the market and I had a lot of smart locks. I love the finger print quick access for when my hand is full. If your in the market for a lock that is consistent without that network WiFi connection loss this is the one for you.

Outstanding product. Has everything that Yale doesn’t. Easy to install, easy to configure. So easy that even a caveman (line me) can do it.
