This game was one of those games my kids didn't ask for for Christmas but one we got anyway because we knew it would be a ton of family fun, and that it is. The kids had a blast setting up each of their characters. Only complaint is the lack of local multiplayer.

This game is a great change of pace from normal golf. It has multitudes of options available from the courses to the clubs and you gain experience to level up your clubs through play instead of it just being handed to you right off the bat.

If you're looking for a fun golf game that plays great, this is definitely it. I much prefer this to the more realistic PGA golf from EA.

If you are a fan of the Hot Shots Golf games, you'll enjoy this game. It is the next entry in the franchise. The name is what the Hot Shots games are called in Japan originally and they decided to go with that in the North American market, as well.

    Repetitive but Fun

Super adorable design of characters and accessories, and a generally very very lighthearted and fun game. The game itself is kind of like an RPG Golf game, but the characters explain that it's meant to make golf fun for everyone, so there are only a few characteristics you get to choose from, and then all the playing is just by tapping a button 3 times -- start, strength, accuracy. I wouldn't call it deceptively simple, but I would definitely say that there's nuance to it that leaves a lot of room for progress and fun. The main thing to note is that it is LOOOOONG. I've barely played more than 8 hours, but I'm still at the very very very very very beginning. There's tons of clothes and clubs and characters and golfballs to unlock, but everything is stretched out and really requires you replaying 9 holes over and over and over again. It's not like bad repetitive, it's just that there's progress to be made (a lot of it) and you definitely have to put the time in "actually" playing the game. This isn't like DOOM or something where you just run forward mashing buttons and upgrades just start appearing and you can make it through 5 levels in 2 hours. This is really really asking you to make dedicated progress and effort to really try and make birdies and holes-in-one, to upgrade your clubs and focus on wind speed and the slope of the ground, but it's not a golf simulator, like an ESPN/EA game, it's more that it's a simple premise with tons of dedicated detail. It's awesome as a distraction, and also seems really good if you're into the progress. The only reason I'd not give it 5 stars is because it really does feel like the game "world" is super sparse at first, and it takes a hot minute to realize that you really really do have to progress to fill it all out. Like getting Golf Carts or fishing games or any of that, apparently, is like several rankings into the game, which is probably at least 20 hours of dedicated effort -- so a few days if you don't play all day. And that's to just barely unlock those features. It's cool that there's progress and it does ask a lot of effort, but we're living in a post-MGSV and post-BotW world ... five stars is asking a lot.

Happy that the swing mechanics have not changed from past versions except for the extra tap on putting. Still waiting for online to catch up. Right now you can only join 1-4 player unofficial round rooms. The worse thing is, there is a luck factor on upgrading your clubs which is seems like a ploy to make people spend more money in the PS Store. I've upgraded my clubs 4 times and have got no higher than level 21 out of a possible 33. It is very tedious to go around collecting gems on all the courses to boost your gem totals.

    Best Modern Golf Game

This is the latest in the Hot Shots Golf series and it’s excellent. The simple 3-click system lets anyone play, but there are a bunch of nuances to master. A deep character customizer lets you create any kind of cartoony golfer you can dream up. Courses are beautiful and challenging, with some DLC extras available. 2 years later and there’s still a solid online community. Such a relaxing, occasionally frustrating, and fun game.

I’ve had this for a while. I got this as a Christmas present for my brother in law. As the title says, i don’t even like golf. It’s boring and watching it on TV is annoying However, I’ve been playing hot shots golf (same series, old North American naming) since part 2 on the PS1. You can’t go wrong with hot shots golf

I have been playing golf games for decades. Some like the "Tiger" series go for realism, some like Everybody's Golf! go for fun. If you are looking for a quick game to play with the kiddos, this could be it. The game auto targets the direction so game play is based upon the timing of swing. Play online against the pros or play offline against the cast of characters that get more difficult. With lots of replay on the course, there are also mini games like fishing available to try out.

I missed the old "Tiger Woods" game days. Heard some dudes talking about this and picked it up and it's been pretty good. Fun for kids and adults...can turn on tornado or mega cups for the little ones. Or heck, even for the adults, because it's awesome chipping in a shot from way out and having it get pulled into the hole, haha. Neat progression system. Super customizable. Pretty fun game.

I picked this up rather last second because I was reading such great things online about it and boy am I glad I did. My favorite thing about this game is the pick up and play nature of it. Have only 15 minutes to play? No big deal. Rounds or Match Play games can be done in that amount of time. Simplistic design but still hard to master with all the tricks they add in to keep things interesting. Highly recommend!

If you loved the Hot Shots Golf series on PS1-3/Vita, then you will love Everybody's Golf. Everybody's Golf is the translation of the Japanese name for Hot Shots Golf, so it's made by the same people and has the same charm. There's new modes, online multiplayer, open courses to drive and fish in, and an RPG element to leveling up your golf clubs. Great upgrade to the series and worth your time.

I have lots of fond memories of playing Hot Shots Golf on PS1, and this is obviously the modern take on it. If you enjoy arcade style golf games, this is for you. Lots of customization, lots of online features and lots of "stuff to do." A little grind-y in the single player mode, and there arent a ton of courses, but its a ton of fun to play with friends and alone. An easy purchase at $19.99.
