Amazing Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read some bad reviews of this card when I was first looking at it a few months back. When I purchased this card my 660 had just denied and I was in need of a new card. This card does the job and more. I haven't had any issues with it when it comes to gaming, and I have even rendered on blender with it. I got this because I didn't see the need to drop close to $700 on a 980. IF you get this card, you won't regret it.

Well worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is awesome. It doesn't suck huge amounts of power like the comparable AMD and its stable. People forget that often an unstable video card can cause other compatibility issues. Performance is as good as you would expect for paying this amount, but the benefits of NVIDIA driver downloads automatically, and the easy install. Its worth it.

Great Card for Playing Games on Ultra
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure there are better cards out there, but if you want to play modern games on ultra @60fps at 1080p then this card is what you want! I can play games at 4K at about 30fps. Every other card that can do better is way more expensive and, in my opinion, not worth it. Be aware that this card only has about 3GB of available VRAM, not 4. the other 1GB is reserved for system processes. However, this isn't a big deal because most games have a bit of code to work around this. Very happy with this card. Highly recommended!

Excellent Performance!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card has handled every game thrown at it at the highest settings. Minus the Arkham Knight but that is due the game itself and not the card. Even then, I have only gotten minor hiccups. Nothing like playing your favorite games at full settings. Note: I only have 1080p monitor so that is the highest resolution I have played games on. Will soon be buying 2k monitor and will update the review then. Great card, almost can keep up with the GTX980
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is nice, but I'll go ahead and say this. Be prepared if you plan on overclocking it, or watching GPU-Z to keep a track of its GPU speed, that you pay attention for it staying clocked up at 1189 MHz and not down clocking for idle. It has a habit of doing this. I've also noticed it will reset itself so that it doesn't store the overclocking settings any time the system is restarted. That is okay if you aren't a power user, but I and my friends are and this is really unacceptable. There is a memory issue and a coil issue to with the cards. Coil issue is simple... Some old games don't require much to draw them so the card goes into overdrive so to speak, spitting out 1000+ frames per second. This much causes a low barely noticeable hum, if you have sensitive hearing, it will get annoying after a while though. The other issue is the memory issue. If you are doing 1080p gaming, it won't be much of an issue. But 1440p and 4K (yes the card can kinda do 4K), it will get really annoying on some games... And this is unfixable. What happens is that the card is trying to display textures and graphics of the game, but its buffer that is 4GBs is actually 3.5 GBs fills up fast. Then you have to the other 0.5GBs that runs slower, so you notice hickups and jerkiness when you are playing the games that actually use up more than 3.5GBs. Its not much of a problem though, it just an annoying flutter here and there. My only other issue is that the fans aren't suppose to spin until like 60C or so on the GPU. However, I've had two cards now and both would constantly run their fans for no apparent reason. This is okay, but it was also clocking itself up to max base clock even without any GPU load. Why? EVGA hasn't been able to answer that for me :( THE POSITIVE.. This card is super nice it fits between my friend's GTX970 that isn't Super SuperClocked and the top of the line cards out there and it runs quiet and is able to play any game and any benchmark at 1080p without any issues. However, I'm picky and the problems above were noticeable in both cards... I'd recommend this card to anyone that wanted to have a very powerful low power draw, low heat outputting graphics card. I would also recommend this for anyone that can't or don't want to pay for a top of the line card. This is a really good card... But if you are going to do 4K gaming... it might not be the best for that...

This Card Made My Gaming PC Soar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought My gaming PC from ibuypower about 4 years ago. Recently my graphics card was acting up and then finally failed altogether. I used my tax refund to get this card and I feel like I have a new PC altogether. The difference to graphics and game playability is huge from the 400 series I had to this 900 series. Highly recommend.

Great card great deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its an interesting proposition reviewing a graphics card here. I mean you can buy any number of different GTX 970s from any number of different manufacturers and we would all have around the same level of performance and basically the same user experience. I will say that I do really like Evga and their products. The (3 year) warranty information is easy to find in the package and easy to register with a PC. The packaging is also very nice and tidy. The card itself is beautiful and even smaller than my older Radeon 7950. I have put the card through its paces and I'm really happy with its Superclocked out-of-the-box configuration. I haven't felt the need to overclock it any further, as it has more than enough power for today's games @ 1080p. Now if you want to go up to 4k, you'll probably want to overclock or just add another one of these cards to your rig. Cooling has been fantastic and a marked improvement over my last XFX 7950. This card never gets hot even playing the Witcher 3 maxed out in the August heat. Sure it gets warm, but not hot. The cooling system is very effective, so much so, that the fans don't even turn on until the card reaches a temp around 60 degrees Celsius. What that means is that the card is almost always silent (idle temps are generally around 30-40 celsius), and even under a full load the fans aren't very loud. Its a very nice card, I would definitely recommend it.

Great performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought this card for a new PC build. At first I was a little hesitant because I really wanted the 980 instead of the 970. But I did a little research on the cards. Found out that anything in the 900 series is already overpowered. These cards are meant for games being released and that are going to be released. I am able to play any game on highest setting with no problems.

Great Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GTX 970 great card. Such a huge upgrade from my AMD 7870HD. This card was over clocked just as it said would be. They have the same card at NEWEGG but it is different. The one on NE has 1 DVI and 4 display ports and 1 HDMI.. the one from BB has 2 DVI 1 HDMI and 1 display port. So if your wanting to set your monitors up differently just be aware of that. But as far as performance its the same. So far its been looking great. I wish they would have put a back plate on this though.

For 1080P
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a budget card that is only needed for a single monitor 1080P setup I think this card does the job well. I have most of the settings maxed out for most games albeit knocking AA down in some instances. If you're looking at 4K gaming I would go with a 1070 or 1080, anything less, this card does the job.

Fast, easy to install. No issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an AMD Radeon HD6950. The GTX 970 is actually smaller than my old card. Had no issues installing in my case. Gfx card was well packaged - Had caps to protect each port on the card and a rubber cover for the actual part that plugs into the motherboard. Check your requirements - need to have at least 500watt power supply and (2) 6 pin adapters to power up the card. These adapters are provided if your power supply does not come with them.

Great graphics
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is excellent. Currently have one placed in a Lenovo tower and can run all games on the highest setting with a triple monitor setup. So far have run titanfall, battlefield, and dying light without problems. Definitely worth the price.

Awesome Upgrade for Graphics Cards
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is awesome. I replaced my ATI Radeon 5670 with this card and could not be happier. Will run off of a 500W Power Supply, although I would recommend at least a 650W. Will support Games for several years to come and it has the SLI connectors on the card to run Multiple cards if so inclined to do so. Box includes 6-pin connectors so if your Power Supply doesn't have them, you can still use the card. Totally worth the money.
