Great PSU for high end gaming

I’ve paired this PSU with an i9 and a 2080 super. I haven’t had any PSU related issues. The fully modular unit comes with all the extra wires and cables you would need. The eco mode will turn off the fan when not needed to help with longevity of the fan and conserve some energy when cooling isn’t needed. The length of cables are plenty long enough and all the mounting hardware was included with the PSU. 850W gives some headroom for expansion for future cards or builds that may utilize it.
Nothing more to say, it works!

Great power supply. Not full modular but for me that wasnt a big deal as you are going to use the 24 pin regardless. The rest being modular is nice since you only need to plug in the cables that you will use. Been going strong on my full water cooled PC, i7 overclocked to its limits, 2070 Super also overclocked to its limit and 12 case fans with lots of RGB.

EVGA has had a history of making some good, and not so good PC components. My first choice for GPUs, but I got bit in the past on their questionable motherboards... This PSU was a hit. Well made, feels quality, for the right price (~$100) it was a steal for the specs. 850w is overkill for a 3700x, 1080FTW system, but it was cheaper/same cost as the 750 and 650 options below. 80+ Gold, semi modular, good warranty, solid cooling, and good price... No complaints, no issues and I'm very happy with it overall.

Install was easy, wish manufacturers would commit to a universal standard with wiring though.

Great power supply, the modular cords make picking an choosing what you need for your build very easy.
I have used this supply for everything from a week long overclocking session to idling in sleep mode while out on a vacation and I have nothing bad to say.
The fan is quiet and the power supply never once wavered or had an issue.
The price can be a bit of a turn off but if you're looking for a supply to upgrade to and future proof, this is the one for you.

I'll start this review by saying I'm a long time fan and purchaser of EVGA products. My initial experience has been buying their graphics cards. My first PSU was also an EVGA. Bronze rated (80+) 600w still going since 2014. I always found the customer service quality and warranty excellent.
When initially purchasing this power supply in February I was happy. It is now September and while shopping around for another PSU I appreciate this one even more. Many of the other modular power supply units from Corsair and gigabyte are apparently only including one or two pcie cables (even if the unit CAN power 3, 4 or more). We shouldn't have to buy separate cables for a modular PSU at this price point!
Thankfully EVGA appears to be avoiding this trend. I was planning on purchasing a Corsair 850 as it was in store, but I will be waiting and likely getting another of these. So even if this is 10-20$ more expensive than the equivalent Corsair it is a better value as Corsair wants to charge you ~$10/each pcie cable! Some have gotten them free from Corsair after submitting lengthy complaints to customer service. Given that time is money I would therefore not consider those cables free.
Overall I am pleased, performs as expected.

A really good power supply,
The only issue is that it doesn't have a modular motherboard cable, but that is fine for most people.
the only thing that was bad about the power supply was that I had no idea what I was buying because it was in some bin and I could have probably bought it somewhere else cheaper,
but I needed a power supply sooner than when shipping could stop being really slow.
power supply is great and even runs quiet, but again, probably could have went online and bought cheaper.

There is not a lot you can say about a computer power supply. You need one that is dependable. You need one that has adequate power for your needs. I personally like modular power supplies so you can have a cleaner build using only the cables needed. EVGA is an excellent brand and the 80 Gold plus is energy efficient and dependable.

Great power supply, easy to use instructions along with cables being labeled to what connection to plug into. Far exceeds the Thermaltake 600w power supply that quit on me just after switching it on and off 5 times. As the saying goes "buy cheap, buy twice"
I got it right the second time with the EVGA 850W supply.

Running with 5900x, 3070Ti, 1050Ti in one system!

I have a pretty beefy gaming, streaming, and video editing machine. The CPU is the Ryzen 9 5900x, primary GPU is an RTX 3070Ti, and a dedicated encoding GPU being the GTX 1050Ti. For all 3 of my uses, not once have I had a random shutdown due to power limitations, and that is especially true while gaming and recording at the same time, which stresses all 3 of these parts at the same time. Quite surprising, given that the RTX 3000 series considered power hungry by many reviews!
Also of note, I can't hear the fan on this PSU spin up when gaming/recording. I do have the fan switch set to quiet mode, but the fan isn't loud when near the limits of this unit. Awesome PSU at 850W!

I've heard good things about EVGA and their quality of products for other pc components so I decided to go with this PSU for my first pc build. After owning this for some time I have had no issues at all with my pc and its utilization of power.

Great product, I didn't need this much power for the build I was doing but with the COVID and the low supplies on power supplies I had to buy this monster. Went in nice and easy and I love how all the cables are clearly marked and easy to clip in and install.
