Bought a prebuilt gaming PC and within 3 months the power supply started chirping. So instead of shipping the PC to the manufacturer for a new one, which would have taken 4-6 weeks), I opted to buy the is power supply and replace it myself. Thankful that my husband worked in IT for 35 years. It works fantastic and keeps my PC going on long gaming sessions. Definitely recommend!

If you're looking for a PSU with the ability to run increasingly more powerful GPUs and CPUs, this is the one. It has more than enough power output to run the latest and greatest gaming machines (unless you're going full enthusiast machine with a 3090 Ti and an OCed 12900k, in which case you need at least 1000w) and it's 80 Plus Gold certified.

Quiet and powerful also has a eco mode which is a nice option!

This power supply is awesome to help with cable management and the needed power to keep up with higher end graphics cards.

I used this EVGA Supernova 850 Ga, 80 Plus Gold 850W, to power my new Ryzen 9 3900x, Gforce 2080 super, ROG STRIX x570-E Motherboard, 32gb ram, rgb cpu liquid cooler in a nzxt 510 case and man this machine runs like a champ! its super quite and you can only really hear it when you first start up your computer. Other than that pc runs almost silent.

I’ve have had 3 EVGA power supplies in the last 10 years or so... they all seem to start to die after 2 years. This PSU has officially died almost exactly 2 years after buying/using it (also at a great time when you can’t find PSU’s... thanks covid). I saved this review exactly for this issue. I was more than certain the EVGA PSU would die around 2 years... so I saved the email asking me to review it until it died. I bought this brand for the 3rd time thinking, “surly the last two were just defects”... nope. Now they have a warranty, and they will probably replace it no problem. But your out a PSU in the meantime unless you have a spare. The thing worked for two years great. They just seem to have a short lifespan. It never damaged my system and could support a 2080ti no problem... but buying a psu every two years (or submitting it in for warranty replacements) is not nearly as exciting as you might think. I made sure there was plenty of cooling for the PSU... the last two EVGA’s died on me so I made sure this one was cooled. The PSU was mounted correctly with no airflow restrictions. The things just die. I’ve had three different builds with EVGA psu’s (mostly because that’s all that was sold or on the shelf at Best Buy when my other EVGA PSU died also), they all died in about 2 years. To be fair, EVGA is one of the lesser priced (quality) brands. You get what you pay for. It will work... just not for all that long. For me... I’m done with the brand.
